Simple rooms, great location, friendly staff. The train station to the city was just 5 min walking. Essentials are in the room.

I have stayed in this hotel for two nights this June. Hotel is alright, clean and basic. However, the staff here were very unprofessional. They charged me for the room which has been paid for by a work travel agency earlier, even though I was saying that it should have been paid when checking in. They told me I don’t have breakfast included yet travel agency paid for it. After all, they returned the money but it was a hassle. I know Ibis is a low budget hotel but it still is expensive and I was hoping for a little bit better service.

It's a great place to stay if you're attending a tradeshow. Rooms are small but adequate. AC was a bit light on really hot days... but you're, but you can open a window at night and cool things down. I found only 1 TV channel in English... but wifi was good, so that was not an issue. 14-minute walk to the deutz/messe DB station... and even cooler for the cologne team station.

Perfect location 5 minutes away from joln messe. Do not rely on reception for taxi. Wifi was not properly working in the room. Lack of electric plug. Good breakfast.

You definitely get what you pay for: A budget hotel. It’s definitely good for what it is, but don’t expect any luxuries. No working AC, hard beds, shower in the bedroom, no closet or hanging area. For a few days, it’s comfy and an acceptable breakfast. The staff were very friendly and very close to Messe. Nice.

When we arrived hotel, 2 people were on front desk.A of them trained another one. They never greeted us. We waited 10 mins. Then room is enough well. Don't keep high your expectations. Bar staff is kind and helpful. There is no any vending machine, You should walk to Shell gas station.

Very clean room, calm and quiet location.

Since I was there to attend a trade show, it was a great location. The room was nice & the bed / pillows were really very comfortable which aided a good night’s sleep. The rooms were clean & the breakfast was not extravagant but sufficient. It was a perfect stay & suited my purpose very well.

Everything OK. Breakfast well stocked. From scarivo shower occasionally unpleasant smell.

A little expensive for the location and the services. Rooms don't have minifridge and don't have plugs near the bed. It's good if you don't need much for one or two nights.

Pleasant staff makes this a great stay. It's a fun room, although though it lacks a safe and refrigerator. It's so close to EVERYTHING, affordable, and safe. The mattress is a pad on a box spring, but I sometimes sleep on a Japanese bed and found it comfy. The 'desk' area is super large, the view is a lovely urbanscape, which on my side included Lanxess Arena. The WiFi internet is BLAZING fast. If you are a photographer, or videographer, stay here!

Budget hotel close enough to the city center. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and maintained. The tram station is just 3 mins walking and then there are direct trams to the city center. They charge €13 for parking for 24 hrs but honestly that is cheaper than parking outside.

Nice place to stay during Orgatec, almost near so people can reach to fair by walking

Room is a bit small, and little bit stuffy. However when we consider the cost, it's acceptable. Restaurant was quite expensive than other restaurant, but food was good.

I stayed there 4 nights bcs of Köln International Hardware Fair. Very close to the Köln Messe, just 10 minutes by walk. İf you do not have big expectations, you can choose.

Stayed here for 3 nights on business. Well located for the nearby exhibition centre and under 15 minutes by taxi from the central railway station. It is walkable but perhaps not with bags. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Fine for a few nights as space for hanging and storing clothes is limited. I ate dinner in the restaurant a couple of times and food was good, if not gourmet but you wouldn't expect that in a hotel like this. If you're used to full English breakfast in hotels breakfast would be disappointing. However, a good spread of perfectly adequate, and healthier, options for continental breakfasts are on offer.

A very nice hotel for a good price! The room was spacious and clean. Free wifi worked wonderfully. The breakfast was excellent! They have vegan and gluten free options as well. The only minus sides: far from grocery stores, no mini fridge, no English channels on tv. I'd love to stay in this hotel again. Heartily recommended!

My partner spent the evening at a friend's, and only came back at the hotel around 5am. He found the entrance door completely locked, even though he had his room card: it was impossible to access the patio in which the card should be used. After spending 30mins circling the hotel to find another entrance, he called me and so I went downstairs to open him up. This is when we saw an hotel clerk, who was obviously on night shift, and came out of his office to see what was happening. So, this clerk was there all along and just left my partner waiting outside at 5am:). Not even an apology, not a word, nothing. Would not recommend at all.

Due to covid, the rooms are only cleaned every other day. Whilst others clean more, this hotel decides to clean less.. also no cups for water at the sink, so after brushing you need to drink from the tap. Towels are from a bad quality as they have a lot "plushes". No. I would not stay here again.

Really just a basic hotel, spotless clean rooms & wonderful shower...what stands this hotel out above the rest is its staff. they are just great, really try to go out of the way to assist, extremely pleasant.. and very very helpful

Do not take a room next to the elevator. You will not be able to sleep very tight. We made reservations, yet we still need to fill in forms for almost 30'.

A very good room if you are looking for a cheap spot to rest for a night. Parking is very accessible and right out of the highway.

Very friendly staff. Ibis is Ibis, functional, good position for motorway access. Reasonable dinner and good choice at breakfast. Room over hot and one small towel per person. Otherwise perfectly fine.

Ibis Budget hotel The name tells the storey, perfectly for a short stay for a day or 2. Booked 2 rooms for family, rooms were clean and staff was friendly as well. Just a suggestion if they can provide kettle in the room as well for will be fiving 5 star

Very clean IBIS hotel, relatively close to the downtown of the city - a nice walk - with a safe parking place. The COVID measures are in place as well. The hotel's staff been very supportive so for sure I'll stay here next time.

Small but clean room. Very near to the lanxess arena, Heumarkt, Dom... Big minus point, the hotels parking cost changed overnight without any warning from 15€ to 17€ for 24hours which is quite expensive!
