BEYOND DISAPPOINTING: A "3-star" Nightmare of a stay plagued by Negligence and Indifference I recently had the misfortune of staying at this supposed three-star hotel in Köln, expecting a decent, problem-free stay. However, my two-week reservation turned into a one-week nightmare, prompting an early checkout due to a series of disturbing experiences. The first issue arose when I opted out of room cleaning for a day, only to find my room untouched for three consecutive days, forcing me to explicitly request the cleaning service. The second, more distressing event was the mysterious DISAPPEARANCE of my laundry bag full of clothes from my room. Despite not requesting laundry service, my belongings vanished. After notifying the reception, they promised a follow-up but left me waiting for six long hours with no response. When I finally rechecked, their curt reply was that none of their staff had taken anything from my room. There was a palpable lack of concern or responsibility, almost implying that my claim was unfounded. NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY was offered, let alone any compensation, leaving me with no recourse but to involve the police. The APPALLING customer service reached its peak when, after the police report, I decided to checkout, and the staff blandly processed my departure with NO OFFER OF REMEDIATION. I had to insist on being reimbursed for the remainder of my stay, to which they hesitated and mentioned they needed to "check" if that was possible! This egregious level of service, coupled with the unresolved THEFT, made this hotel stay an atrocious experience, far below the standards one would expect even from hostels or cheaper hotels. Awful doesn’t even begin to describe it. Never have I felt so disregarded and ill-treated as a guest. To anyone considering a stay here: BEWARE, AND LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Clean and tidy rooms, friendly staff, quiet place. Convenient location, five minutes to public transport, 40 minutes to the city center by tram.

Don't let the prices and the photos fool you. Cons: > The quality of the rooms was not worth the price. I found dirt underneath the cupboards when i had to search for my dropped Airpods. It was horrible, there were dirty tissues and wrappers. > The bathroom fittings were not of the quality you'd expect of the prices. There wasn't even a plug socket to plug in a razor or electric toothbrush. Actually, in the whole room, there were only 2 plug sockets. As a photographer, this was a nightmare trying to charge everything on a night. > The coffee and food were disappointing. I think the breakfast option was just under 30€, but the standard and quality was at about 6€. You'd 100% be better off finding a bakery anywhere else at that price! Pros: > The staff were quite friendly. They didn't have much on offer regarding pamphlets or tourist magazines, but the staff were quite knowledgable on where and what to do. > The hotel itself is quite far away form the city centre. 20 to 30 mins on a tram, however, the platform for the Number 1 tram is not far away. And there are no change overs required. Get on the tram and stay on until Neumarkt/Heumarkt for the best shopping or restaurants. the hotel staff were helpful in guiding me to the city. Conclusion: > There are better hotels, closer to the city centre. If the price of this hotel was a little bit cheaper, then they'd probably get more stars as the prices would match the quality. Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over the new year period. It was very disappointing. The atmosphere was cold and unfriendly and staff very thin on the ground. The room was clean but the bedding was very poor. When we asked for additional pillows to supplement the thin one provided we were told there were none. The breakfast was quite good and lots of variety both hot and cold. However, one New Years day the bar and restaurant was closed and not even a cup of coffee could be had. We were told there was a restaurant across the street but this was booked out. This place does not provide proper hotel facilities and should be avoided.

A small hotel outside the city area of Cologne, the room is quite large for a budget hotel, we stay only one night, all the amenities was complete The room was very clean

Simple 1 night hotel. Double bed very small. Slept hardly. Good noice isolation. Very clean. Breakfast extremely expensive. 17euro pp. You can have for the same price delux for 2 persons at Bastians breakfast.

The hotel offers everything you need on a business trip. It is located outside of the centre but the tram connection is good. The room was well-equipped and clean (with a nice small refreshment:) The breakfast offer fully suited my needs. The whole process of communication (from the reservation to the check out) was flawless.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was good. I only had a concern about the safety since you can just walk in from the street and take the elevator or stairs to access the suites. No cameras in the hallways. As a woman traveling alone, it didn't feel safe.

Incredibly clean, exactly what we needed and nothing more : ) Breakfast was surprisingly complete and delicious. The gentleman at the front desk is really lovely and helped us out when we got in late and tired.

Lovely, clean hotel. Very comfortable beds. Friendly service. Nice suburban area on the train line so it’s super easy to get to the city center. We stayed for 5 nights while our children attended a soccer camp at the Rhein Energie Stadion and the hotel was perfect for us. Good value too.

The rooms were very well cleaned. However the service from the staff needs improvement, I asked the front desk for some tap water and I was refused. Not bottled water but tap water. The corridor leading to my room was blocked for the 28 hours of my arrival. The rooms had very little heating and were very cramped. The breakfast however was very nice. Well worth the monet for the meal. I would not stay here again.

Average hotel. Typical Dorinth. I personally prefer now other cheaper and newer hotels in the surrounding. But if nothing else is free this is still a solid experience. Pay attention that you most likely have to pay for parking, not a lot of places free in surrounding. Positive : shopping center with food court 15 minutes fast walk away or one stop with public transportation.

Nice clean hotel, very well connected to the citt center through the metro (also the Stadion is just 2 stops away heading in the same direction). Rooms are big and comfortable, wifi is working. Breakfast is definitely great, although a bit pricey (17 eur per person). 8

It has a big car park underground. Easy to get in and out of there. Hotel is very close to the tram stop. Instead of paying a lot to the hotels at the city center, this hotel can be chosen for less cost as it has access to the city center with the tram.Rooms aren't great but satisfactory ENOUGH.ıt has a bar open till late night. It's breakfast is nica. It offers a lot. People are friendly too. I would go there again

The room was ok , not that clean. There were some insects in the corner but ok. They had coffee in the room , breakfast too expensive for this quality and it was at the basement where basically doesn’t smell that good. The most important thing : I forgot my charger and I called 30 minutes after my checkout and they told me they didn’t find anything, but it was exactly on the table. Some cosmetics were also used. Generally I think that the cleaners are stealing a few things from the customers. So be careful. The road is totally fine and close to the trains but you could search also for other hotel options there. I stayed 2 days because Of these bad experiences.

The hotel is not on the cheapest side in terms of pricing, yet the materials used in the economy rooms are simply odd. Like a bench made of the same tiles as the bathroom. The staff is super friendly, though. They even went an extra mile and provided me with a nice breakfast box when I had to leave at 5am.

This hotel has exceeded my expectations in so many ways, from the beginning they solved a problem with my reservation in an efficient way (considering it was carnival and the hotel was completely booked), the rooms are really nice, spacious, modern and clean. They have a tablet to control many things, room service etc. The breakfast is way better from what you can find in any hotel this price, good variety and flavor and the best, the waiters, hostess and everyone are really kind, I totally recommend this hotel! And you have a team stop walking distance to go to the center.
