After staying one night in this place I totally lost my trust in the "star system", weren't for the "4 stars" given by the German hotel rating system I would've been more generous, yet, by no means, in any possible manner this hotel could be considered a 4 stars. Pros: • Perfect location • Inexpensive Cons: • Shabby • Everything is old, ancient old Thankfully I'd say it's clean enough so there's that, and the ancient AC was still functioning (despite my doubts). As I said above, weren't for the stars I wouldn't have been this disappointed, this is certainly not what one expects from a 4-star hotel.

I have 10 years of spent in hotels, but never payed 100 euros per night for such a bad experience. The rooms are old, not a surprise, but almost nothing works: - wifi does not work at all on any device. - I tried to call reception to bring me an iron and the phone didn't work - I went downstairs to ask for an iron and they said they will bring to my room (it didn't happen at all) - the sink cap was stucked so I had to clean my teeth in the shower (check pics) - the dedicated place to put your luggage is not covered by any lightning honestly? ... for 100 euros? 🙈

Very noisy during the weekend. Parties are organised inside the hotel itself. And the staff doesn't care...

Staff is friendly, location is perfect in the middle of Koln, where everything is around. The only comment would be the very old rooms.

The location is nice, close to the city center, there are some bars on the street that can be quite loud but as soon as you close the windows it's all good. The room was nice, with everything that you need provided by the hotel, but a lot of details could be improved considering that we are talking about a 4 stars hotel. Also, I think that it was a little bit overpriced but I suppose it was because of the Gamescomes.

Well located hotel (especially near the gay bars) in the Eastern part of Cologne with professional staff. The hotel has parking and there are also public parking lots nearby. The beds are good. The hotel itself and the rooms are decent and clean, but would deserve some refreshment and modernization. For example most rooms don’t have airconditioning. The bars on the street can be noisy at weekend nights. The rooms at the back are quiet.

Cosy hotel despite oldish furniture in the rooms but this gives the hotel yet another twist of charm. Great tasty breakfasts with the good selection and really fresh food. Croissants here are ones of the best I’ve ever eaten. Great location in the area full of bars and restaurants. The hotel is also close to the tram underground station and couple of stations away from the Main Station of Köln and its main Dom.

OK, but not great. A mini-bar, but no fitness room. Breakfast is fairly boring. Rooms are small. The restaurant menu is generic hotel international; not enough to entice me to eat there. I suppose that it is what I should expect for the price. There is an Irish pub almost next door, and restaurants within walking distance. Tram and underground lines are not far. Air-conditioning in my room seems to do nothing. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Location is good only 10 minutes walk to Cathedral. However its on the street with lot of bars/night club and sound proofing is not good, its impossible to sleep during night. We stayed up till morning due music and loud noises coming from outside. For us the room was newly renovated so room was very good and it was clean. Bed was comfortable but Pillows needs to be changed, they’re very bad even 2 pillow is not enough. However the bathroom smells horrible, you cannot stay inside of the bathroom due to smell coming from ventilator and this smell is starting from the entrance of the hotel at the lobby. The staff was a bit rude and not friendly, they should provide a better service if they have 4 star and charging high money per night. I told them that the bathroom smells horrible and we cannot go inside, he only said sorry and thats it. Parking place was too narrow. I’m glad that we only stayed 1 night and not more. In general, the hotel is not deserving 4 star rate and its overpriced, I do not recommend to stay in this hotel just by looking the vicinity to the city center.

If you make a reservation keep in mind that there's no air conditioner if your room has a window. While the weather was pleasantly cool, the room was a lot warmer than the outside. Keeping the window open may let rain, humidity, and insects inside. If you prefer to sleep with the air conditioner on (to avoid outside moisture and noise), make sure you ask for a room without a window so that you get air conditioner. I was told that rooms without windows do have air conditioner. Other than that the staff was nice and helpful. Two cold beers, a coke, and mineral water inside the minibar were included. I would stay there again if I knew that I'd be getting a room with air conditioner. Breakfast was excellent: a variety of cheeses, toast, bread butter, cream cheese, fruits, some veggies, cake, eggs, bacon, and weiners.

The room was clean, and the staff were very accomadating with me arriving at 15 past midnight. The pillows aren't good. Breakfast looks good, but it's €14 and I didn't feel like paying that. Fortunately, there are relatively cheaper options in the area. The wifi did not work in our room specifically. The staff did everything in their power to reset the wifi in our room, but ended up switching us to antoher room with wifi. Unfortunatley, this room neither AC or fans during the hottests months of June

Very bad service!!!! The receptionist (name: Iv...ne) was super impolite, unfriendly, no service minded and prejudicial treated of different categories of people (we noticed from the way she treated the other guests). We asked to change the room. She refused and said that the rooms are all fully booked but we found out on the website that they are not...she LIED! We had some discussion and in the end we got a room switched with huge frustration. Surely not recommended! ————— Respond to the hotel’s response: I d recommend you to take a look at the hotel’s video camera record to see how the behaviour of your receptionist looks like when we kindly requested for the change. This is what she did to us ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Is this the way of the hotel receptionists treated their customers? The main point of this complaint is about the impolite behaviour of your staff ... so Yes very bad service!

Stayed for 3 nights and would like to share my feedback: What was good: - Never saw a hotel who give you access to mini bar free of cost. - Location is quite happening - breakfast is Okies - I really like the guys who come to your table and ask, what kind of coffee you want? He is really polite and ready to make whatever you like. Not good/Could be better: - Rooms are not sound proof - Room size is a bit small - Very less light in the room - Washroom is very small It is ideal for Business trip. PS: I was on business trip (sponsored by company) but they still charged me city tax.

Great location for party. Rooms need a little tarting up but service was amazing with staff going out of there way to be accommodating

Excellent hotel. Room was spacious and new. The toilet is also very clean. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the items in the mini bar were all free, and it included beer. Only one small downside is its location -- slightly further away from the centre.

We only stayed one night, with our two little dogs and we were made very welcome, we booked a privilege room which was very clean and comfortable, with a cute little balcony outside, and free minibar was a great touch. The bathroom was a bit small but had everything you needed. Parking was secure and underground, and the hotel was in a quiet location, about a 15 minute walk from the impressive Cathedral.

The room is so dusty and no boiler to make hot water to drink. The service especially for the breakfast servant is so bad and no smile.

Room was OK but oldish. Bathroom less than OK for an hotel like this. Needs some work done.

Solid budget accommodations for a night or two. Great central location. Friendly staff. Room was a bit old, worn and dated. Bathroom shower tiles need some serious chlorine treatment.

👍👍 An incredible place with a great collection of cars to buy and admire. It is completely free to enter something that absolutely blew my mind considering it houses the Michael Schumacher Private collection museum.
