(!!!) Aber gelernt: Kupfergeld ist nichts wert. Denn: Müsste man zählen und rollen (Es waren übrigens 5,35 Euro in 5 Cent Münzen). Fazit: Keine Lebensmittel bekommen. (!!!)

Naja also zahl was du willst, trifft hier nicht ganz zu.

(Translated by Google) Formerly a very nice ecological and sustainable shop. I actually like supporting projects like this. But meanwhile unfriendly and very profit oriented. The concept of "food for donation" is fading away. I've had 3 bad experiences. The concept should be "Whoever has more gives more, who has less gives less." But unfortunately that is no longer the case. I now feel uncomfortable shopping there because a certain sum is expected. Then I can also buy containers myself or from a grocery chain. Beautiful principle has now been destroyed by capitalism. Fits into the gentrification of Ehrenfeld (Original) Früher ein sehr netter ökologischer und Nachhaltiger Laden.

“Pay what it’s worth to you” or rather “pay what it’s worth to us”??? I've been shopping with you at Venloer for a year now and I really think the concept is great. Both for the farmers, the environment and the people. Unfortunately, with some purchases I had the negative experience of being critically poked into the shopping basket and being made aware of a minimum price. I can understand that there is one on e.g. bars. I offered €10 for a half full basket + 3 Clif Bar bars. That probably wasn't enough for the lady. I ended up paying €12 for expired food. I think that's a shame now, because yes, I try to save food - but there are still things that go bad much more quickly, you can't plan a meal in advance because the selection is always different & you don't know exactly how long the food lasts. And sometimes the food is bad. For example, I recently had fluffy oat milk. If your sign says, “Pay what it’s worth to you,” then I think it would be great if it stayed that way. If it is important to you to earn as much as a regular supermarket (which also has standardized goods), then please write “Pay what it is worth to us”. I think the buying experience on the Venloer has now become more of a stressful feeling because you already know that you will get a bad feeling if you don't pay the full or 75% price. What I like about the shop in the igloo is that you really just pay what it's worth to you and it's worth it. I would be happy if that changed, because unfortunately our friends have noticed this - and we actually think The Good Food is really great and love the concept.

The idea of this place is really great. The fact that you can save goods from being thrown away at your own price is just perfect. I wish there would b more like this place for all kinda goods and around the world.

A great shop, great people, apparently still an insider tip. The bowls and especially the dips are irresistibly good. Friendly service. This really is value for money!

Great store. I picked something up for the first time and everything was explained to me. A few things, like drinks with a deposit or certain granola bars, have minimum prices, but they are well below the RRP (less than 50 percent). I donated five euros for my purchase and have already taken a lot with me. Can't report any more evil looks or requests to pay, as some have reported here. I have also seen people take significantly more items for less money. Everything was great. The lady at the checkout was very nice. I'd love to come back 🥰

(Translated by Google) I bought a bag of groceries here via to good to go. I was well aware that the groceries were past the best before date when shopping in this store. In general, I have no problem with it at all, but the BBD of some products was already exceeded by more than a year or even almost two years! I think that's tough, because some of the foods were dairy products. Unfortunately, I couldn't do much with the bag I bought. What a pity! I paid €4.30 for actually bad food. (Original) Ich habe hier über to good to go eine Tüte mit Lebensmitteln gekauft. Sehr schade! Habe 4,30€ bezahlt für eigentlich schlechte Lebensmittel.

A grocery store with a heart! Pay what you can or what it's worth to you, food from the region around Cologne, i.e. from home! Support you! Your Dirk

(Translated by Google) It's a great store with a great concept. You can take what you want and then pay as much as it is worth to you (Original) Es ist ein super Laden mit einem tollen Konzept.

(Translated by Google) Just wanted to leave a big thank you to all the volunteers. What you do there every day is unbelievable. I just moved from Cologne and am deeply saddened that this concept doesn't exist elsewhere. There are many fresh products, some harvested from the field, and great expired Mhd goods, 99% of which still taste good. There also seem to be some producers who send larger batches to Good Food and very often the sell-by date is not even exceeded. I had to practice a bit with the "pay what it's worth to you"... you have to be careful not to project something into the faces of the volunteers that isn't there at all, because you feel bad that you're paying too much or not enough to have. It was also a very instructive experience.

(Translated by Google) The store has a really cool concept. Only the clientele (in toto hipster girls, I'll generalize) makes a lot of fun ... Already clear: food / appreciation / mindfulness + tenderness, and everything is harvested safely at the full moon, toppo. But still: Do you really have to have a silent dialogue with EVERY INDIVIDUAL peppers before they go into the basket? There is a waiting time of half an hour outside, even though there are only 3 people in front of you.

(Translated by Google) Saving food is a great thing! Selling an almost 4 year old spread is a bit cheeky, though.

(Translated by Google) I know the concept of saving food from the bin by food sharing and I find The Good Food a great alternative for all people who do not have that much time to save their food themselves (e.g. with food sharing or food savers, etc.). Fortunately, more and more people are taking part.

(Translated by Google) A great shop with an amazing selection of foods that would otherwise not have made it to the consumer. Due to the constantly changing range, every visit here is like a new 'surprise bag' with surprises. I also think the 'pay what it's worth' principle is wonderful, even if it is sometimes difficult to commit to an amount. However, the regular retail prices posted help with orientation. I always love to come back!
