The worst Ibis Budget of all time! Very unfriendly and unprofessional service: 1) no info received from booking 2) check I took 30 minutes. Unfriendly receptionist wanted to charge extra 60 for a open parking and simple breakfast!!! But finally the justice took place. 3) Coffee machine is always empty during breakfast time. Kitchen women is very unpleasant and doesn't speak a word of German or English 4) The flag on a flagpole is broken and makes unpleasant knocking sounds next to your window during all night. Result: no recommended, never again!

The heating didn't work. I turned it to maximum and still it was cold in the rooms. I wanted to dry wet socks and even after two nights they weren't dry. The access cards stopped working as usual in ibis.

Shower cabin IN the room. Very romantic if you are staying with your wife, not with your mate or colleague.

Im a sportswoman had a bad flight experience a few hours ago and i arrived in the middle of the night with +40 kg baggage with all sport equipments etc and had to rest before rent my car. I couldn’t reserve a hotel as it was midnight and websites were referring to the next day. Literally no hotel In this area picked up the phone but the perfect receptionist picked it. I cant thank enough! Its a room for budget and you can live with a bath in the room for a few nights.

Perfect if you are looking for just a place to sleep during night. Not great if you want to spend time at the room. Parking is available at around 8 euro per day(24 hours). Buffet breakfast was also a good.

It is good for a short stay in Köln. But the air conditioner didn't work properly so we got extra blankets because it was cold.

It's near to the venue, so that's the main reason why I choose this option. Bedrooms look like a boat and are really simple but everything is clean. People in charge of the hotel are really nice. A good option for a short business trip.

Actually quite a good budget hotel. Very clean and very good attentive service. I was impressed that we could check in early after a very long flight and found the room exactly as advertised. The problem is the location with absolutely no restaurants around. A small restaurant in the hotel or the Ibis next door will do wonders for this strictly events hotel.

Good budget hotel with good travel links. Came for IEM Cologne and it was really easy to get to the Lanxess Arena, it is also really close to the players hotel.

Great budget hotel. As you would expect with a budget hotel, the rooms aren't extremely cosy, as is also not their intent. That being said. The staff is extremely friendly, they fluently switched to English to adjust for my less than perfect German. They clearly and calmly explained everything with a smile. The hotel and rooms feel really clean and tidy. The rooms especially felt really clean and are equipped with airCon. Also for people that want to stay here to visit the Lanxess Arena, it is very much recommended. The distance to walk or drive their is perfect and easy to navigate.

Super basic hotel, feels like dorm. Worst thing is no hairdryer in the room. When I went to the front desk to borrow one, the receptionist replied “there is only one hairdryer working, and it is lent out “…

This is a budget hotel so you can expect what you are paying. It is located in a hotel zone close to Köln Messe/Deutz (16min walking distance). Originally planned for two nights without breakfast, ended staying for one. Rooms are old in design and not giving any warm feeling to the visitor. Space for storing clothing is almost non-existent. Soap/shampoo dispenser was almost empty, I asked to refill before going to the office, seems I was never listened. Although I ended my stay for other reasons, hardly I am returning.

One of the best Ibis Budget hotels where my group were. Awesome service (greetings to girls from the reception :)). Cleaned rooms, comfortable beds. Very good location and really nice breakfast. Highly recommended!

Carpet change during the day during PMR Expo 23! Uncomfortable and noisy. Bad WiFi.

The room was tiny and not worth at all the price we paid. The whole building smelled unpleasantly, cannot exactly determine if something was rotting or it was paint or some kind of heavy detergent. The towels looked dirty and the sheets were stained all over, including MULTIPLE BLOOD STAINS. There was no ventilation in the toilet and the toilet paper was too thin. The walls were so thin that you can hear everyone on the floor. We were forced to listen to some guest's snoring the whole night. Location was not so great either. I do not recommend, the quality does not correspond even to the "budget" price.

Budget.. The name says it all. Very essential rooms, no frills. good for a short stay when on business. Most important thing for me is cleanliness, and I have to say that I found my room well cleaned, so to me is good quality/price ratio. Especially because this hotel is 5 mins walk from the koelnmesse east entrance, so it was very convenient.

Rooms are small and the breakfast se need to go to the other hotel with a voucher to have it.

It's a nice place to stay at, even if the shower is placed.. unfortunate when travelling with someone else.

Decent hotel experience. The room feels a little empty with no cups for water, soap, notepads, phone, or complimentary coffee. No kitchen at all and the light switches seem to make me feel like a child. The bathroom is small and cramped and only comes with one two towels, even if travelling as 2. But what makes the stay with it, is its location as it is close to Central Cologne, and the breakfast. Ooohh the breakfast was amazing for only 12Euros. All you can eat with gourmet coffee machines, waffle bar, and a traditional German breakfast. Worth it if you have the breakfast!!

Stayed last week for a couple of nights, Renan on reception was fantastic and very very helpful. Breakfast was good. The only thing I found unusual was the shower in the room - but I didn't look at the photos before booking. Would stay again, great value for money

The room is clean and the shower is really amazing. Thanks for also fulfilling my request of a quiet room that I made when booking. However, I'm giving only 2 stars because I couldn't sleep at all, mainly because the air conditioning was not turned on in the whole hotel. I complained at the reception after the first night and the answer I got was that the weather was not hot enough for the AC to be turned on (we're in mid May). 16 degrees might not seem too much, but when you're in a sealed room, it can get really warm. I also asked about opening the windows and they told me that I needed to sign a document assuming responsibility over any stolen items in my room, even the room being on the 3rd floor. Secondly, the pillows are made of a really cheap material and are very low.

A gem of a budget hotel. The way they have made the minimalistic budget decor, breakfast, furniture, room arrangement, it's fantastic & creative. It's budgeting at its finest at minimal cost of eye-candy-ness of interiors. P.S: the 8.5€ breakfast is amazing at the price. Rooms are small but functionally complete.

This is a Budget hotel. The hotel is easily accessible from the city centre via the tram service or a local train (just 1 stop to Cologne Central). Warm friendly reciptionist. Compact room with a bunk bed. However the lighting and color shades in the room make it spacious. Bathroom and toilet were clean and tidy. The rooms do not have individual air conditioning and the central air conditioning will be turned on only if it gets too hot which can get annoying for some (hence the 4 stars). However the rooms have a window and you can always open them for some fresh air. This hotel is best suited if you are a tourist or day traveller who wants to stroll around the city and rest in the night. The morning breakfast was also good with a lot of choices. Overall a very pleasant stay and experience.

Good low budget hotel. Were in town for IEM Cologne 2022 so didn't stay in the hotel room too much. Nothing too special, but didn't disappoint either.

First things first: the shower… I feel like it could have been mentioned in advance that the shower ist in the middle of the room. Why? The receptionist was a very gracious, lovely lady. I think she deserves a raise. The hotel itself was very affordable which is why I think it deserves the three stars. But it could definitely have been cleaner. The TV was the smallest device known to womankind (it worked fine though). Would recommend for one night and one night only. Also: do not make the mistake to walk from Deutz Messe Train station because the infrastructure does not want the hotel to be found.

We booked it for Saturday night (99.75€+8.5€ for breakfast each), price was super high even it is ibis budget. I checked for Sunday night, it likes half price 😣. It was next to ibis. Room was good, breakfast was ok.

The Ibis "Budget" is a advertised... a butter hotel. It is a bit of a shock when you think you booked the Ibis hotel that is 40 Meters away. It delivers on budget! Rooms are small and sparse. You get 2 towels, a bar of soap and multi purpose wash in the shower and that is about it. Yes it has a very small tv (no English channels) , the room actually would sleep 3 if you were a happy family. They have built a bunk bed above the double bed that can hold up to 100kg. However the fixed ladder gets in the way for anyone sleeping on the left side of the bed below. Floors are all vinyl, so I would recommend bringing slippers. The shower, is a few feet from the bed in a unique setup. The only thing that is Spratt is the toilet closet. You will not find a hair dryer, iron or any other amenities. A fellow guest was able to get a hairdryer from the front desk but it sounded like it took some discussion. Also don't bother to ask to barrow and umbrella, as that will set you back €20. With that said, it works well for a single person. The breakfest, which I had included for about 9 euro was also basic. Choice of breads, but don't count on the toaster working. Fruit and plain yogurt, 2 types of sliced meat and 2 cheeses, hard build (and colored eggs), a selection of whole fruit, some cold cereal and milk options down at the end and to to it off two coffee machines. Nothing is warm except the coffee. The staff keep the breakfest area very clean and organized. Over all not a bed hotel or room or breakfest... you get budget! I would stay here again if traveling alone.

Close to Koln Messe/Deutz railway station, tram 3&4 just 2-3 min walk away, Ibis budget hotel offers a peaceful stay in Cologne. Rooms can accomodate 3 adults. There is no restaurant within the hotel but it serves paid breakfast to the guests.
