An Ibis hotel is an Ibis hotel : it is consistently standard. The Ibis hotel for Cologne is right next to the main station. A request for the view of the cathedral was met but with a bummer, it is located at room 300 and partially blocked by a lamp-post. Perhaps the rooms further down might have a better view. The service was okay and corporate-like. The room is alright. The showers etc was okay but it can get a little warm and stuffy. The sound insulation is great considering that the Kolner Karneval was taking place right outside, closing the window reduces much of the noise. Overall, excellent location, the price can be great on certain days but if you are unlucky, it might be just a couple of Euros less than MGallery further down. When the price is right, this is a decent hotel with a great location if you want to be near the train station and the cathedral. Get one with a good view of the cathedral if possible, it is still pretty awesome to wake up and see the massive Kolner Dom outside. There are also plenty of food options around from Nepalese and Thai in the neighbourhood to sandwiches and sausages at the station.

Excellent location. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Would have liked a larger reception area and perhaps a bar. Quite noisy late into the night but that is due to the excellent location by the train station. Excellent value for money.

This is a very basic hotel. It is located adjacent to the train station and there is little notice of train noise. However, the walls between rooms are not soundproof so snoring neighbours, TV’s in adjacent rooms, kids and adults in the hall all can be heard. Staff are very pleasant. And the location is great. Rooms are small and minimal, but it is an Ibis so I expected this.

Wow so cool a hotel! Directly in the main train station (with an entrance/exit from the station side so you don't even have to get out of the station to reach the hotel). On the ,4th corridor you can see directly into the train station onto the tracks, which I thought was VERY cool. Friends who like trains can consider staying here for that feature alone. Despite this the rooms were actually surprisingly quiet! I could hear more noise from the rooms next door than I could the train. That said it's still not the quietest. I was woken up my room cleaning next door, for example.

Very central location right next to the cathedral and the main station. So perfect for tourists and business trips. The rooms are modern and surprisingly big for Ibis hotels. However, the bathrooms are quite old and musty. All in all a solid Ibis at an outstanding location.

It is good only for its location. After a long tired trip, as I first entered the room, there was no welcome drink. No water dispenser at the service lobby. No electric kettle to boil water. The bathroom door doesn't have a lock. I don't speak for others, but these are essential to me.

Typical Ibis hotel. Friendly staff. Nothing special except that it's right next to the station: there's an entrance directly off the station concourse, and it's close to the cathedral: my room had a view of it.

Awesome hotel, located a stone-throw from the Catherdral, the guy that worked at the front desk Erick even offered me his gym card to use if I wanted to. Its not a 5 star hotel but that's not the idea of it, but more ideal for its location. Will definetly return. Regards from Cape Town South Africa

We've had a nice stay in the the City Center of Cologne: Nice and clean rooms, surprisingly quiet considering the direct connection to the train station, friendly staff and a perfect starting point for sightseeing, shopping and partying :)

This place is extremely quiet. Got a good night sleep. Literally right next to the rail. Silver Accor members get late checkout too.

Comfortable city centre hotel. Rooms comfortable though warm after the sun had been on them all day. Good location for seeing centre of Cologne.

Due to the national rail strike this hotel actually in the Cologne Main Station was fully booked. Unfortunately I did not expect to be stranded in Köln and I was disappointed that there was no room for me. That was not the fault of Ibis.

The location is simply perfect 👌🏻 The view from the room over the Cathedral is stunning 😍 The service, the comfortable beds, the clean environment and the breakfast were all perfect 👌🏻

Interesting concept having a shower in the room itself, bit awkward when you’re sharing with a friend. Good location, not too far from a train station or a 30 minute walk to go city centre.

We made two fully refundable bookings for December 2021 that was paid for in full. Due to new travel restrictions we were unable to travel, and we cancelled our bookings two weeks ahead of our stay. After 5 weeks we are still waiting for our refunds to be processes. We've reached out to the hotel but no response has been received. I would not recommend booking this hotel if there is any uncertainty whether you might need to cancel.

Smooth check-in and clean room, appreciated the comfortable bed and pillows. Housekeeping done daily which was prompt and great. Check-out was easy - just drop the key card at reception box.

Had a reservation that their system could not process payment on for an international credit card. I emailed to ask if I could hold the reservation and pay upon arrival and received confirmation that this was ok. Upon arrival they told me the reservation was cancelled with no communication.

I learned you can’t be disappointed by an Ibis Hotel. You know what you’ll get and you get it. Best location possible, rooms are very good, breakfast fantastic. Our room had a view to the Dom. I’d stay here again.

The best location in the city. Everything available in the immediate area. Rooms very clean, well cared for. Super silenced! Air conditioning is efficient and also quiet. Staff very friendly, thank you for the great service during breakfast. I recommend everyone, it's really worth using.

A solid ibis Hotel. Clean, in good condition (recently remodeled). Of course the rooms are rather small (but well designed), and the hotel is directly at the train main station - with all the good and the bad coming with that :) The view on the Cologne Dom is great. Breakfast is ibis Standard, which means a pretty broad selection and solid quality for this Hotel level. The breakfast buffet in this ibis was very fresh and well refilled. All in all a very solid place to stay for a business trip or overnight, wouldn’t necessarily select it for a romantic weekend, though :)

Very friendly and helpfull staff working here ! The room was great although the bathrooms need some attention. The breakfast had enough variation and the location of the hotel is great. Anyhow being a 2 star hotel, we cannot complain.

The location is great, the room is clean, good for a short stay. However, it is NOT a hotel designed for business trips. I checked in around 3PM this afternoon, I asked for an iron since I had to wear my suit for my meeting, it is 11PM and there was no iron available. No ironing room for common use, no ironing/dry cleaning service even if you want to pay for it. I travel very often and stay hotels all around the world but it is the first time I had such a situation. Book somewhere else if you wear a shirt or a suit for business meetings.

I thought this would never happen, I have to complain about my stay at this Ibis. Although the location and rooms were perfect as usual, the service was so to say no service at all. Desk officers were not really aware of the booking's details, they couldn't help us about parking and smile was completely absent from their faces. The only friendly staff was the waitress speeding up on her own to help people at breakfast. Sad!
