The hotel is a disaster. It opened in 1980 and it's - from the look of it - never been updated. It's worn, it's dirty, it's stained, the elevator barely works. The beds are small and uncomfortable. Even the comforters are children sized singles! The heating is old radiators that fall into the category of being way too hot or cold. There are no mini-fridges. The TVs are antiques. It's loud and has little to no real soundproofing. The staff, the old man at night was not only rude, but hostile. And he was entirely disdaining of masking, all while Germany is exploding with Covid. Worst of all however, is there was no hot water in the rooms. Sinks were cold, showers managed lukewarm at best. Completely unacceptable at any time, but during a pandemic? Unforgivable. The management was gracious enough to send me a letter of apology and refund 2/3rds of my money - as I left the hotel early refusing to stay there for another night. However my criticisms still stand and are still valid. The place needs to shut down and be brought up to date. Anywhere in North America this wouldn't be considered anything else other than a flop house. So unless they completely renovate the place top to bottom I strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

I paid €75 for a 1p bedroom with breakfast. 30 seconds walk from the back of the train station. 1p bed is funnily diagonally placed in the room. Everything is just a bit old fashioned. The shower and sink were definitely new though and good. Breakfast is a basic buffet.

Nice hotel, very close to Cologne's railway station; which is why I booked it. The room was comfortable but very warm. It was quite noisy both from the corridor and outside. Breakfast was decent, a good selection of food and drink; a little overpriced for what you got but the convenience of it made up for the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I like the layout of the room, modern, simple and clean. Also nice staff ;-) Very convenient location with the price.

I stayed one night at this hotel, a few days ago. I hesitated a lot regarding which rate I should give.. So, I booked one night here (single room), because of its location (next to the train station) and the price (53€ no breakfast). The bedroom was ok, with confortable bed and clean sheets. But it was way too noisy as the room was facing the train station. And bathroom was bad…

The hotel was clean and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly. The location is great if you are visiting the Dom, musical hall, or traveling through the Hauptbahnhof.

This hotel scores very high due to its location near the station (directly across ) and the room assigned to us has a wonderful view of the Cologne Cathedral . The negative part is noisy through out (light sleepers take note ) because it is near the station and a taxi stand next to the hotel . Service is great as we managed to booked in slightly early. Try the morning breakfast which is simple but adequate . Those who loves shopping , the centre is a stone throw away .

Very lovely and nice hotel. Staff was very friendly. I had my birthday during my visit and they cave us a very pleasant surprise.

Practically next to Central Train station and main roads. It can get a bit noisy at late evening & early morning. Had the 3 pax room at level 5(think it's family room), very spacious & clean. If not for the noise from traffic, this hotel offers good value

Everything was almost perfect, except for the old man. I just asked him to open the room that autometically locked. Can't forget the words that he mumbled alone and the slashs on the desk. Thank you for the great experience in Cologne.

Good: - location right across the rain station - the room is very well heated, I didn't feel cold staying in mid November - very helpful and friendly lady serving breakfast Bad: - no kettle or coffee station nor in the room neither in lobby (in 100+ eur a night room!) - very noisy area; window insulation is doing its best but doesn't help 100%

Good room. Just few meters from Koln Hbf. Only that they dont provide water boiler in the room for us to make coffee/tea.

Great hotel. Very convenience and easy to find. But TV program not complete. Only 1 channel on with 5 radio on TV. Great Breakfast. Nice staff.

staffs are friendly and helpful. room does not have air conditionals which means windows have to be opened if you want to sleep with wind (spring in May)….. and it will be noisy from 4am onwards since hotel is beside bus and train station. i presume it will be hot in summer since there are no air conditionals. for the price paid, it is expensive.

Convenient hotel in the centre of Cologne and really close to the train station. Room very comfortable if a little noisy close to the main road.

From the restaurant you can see the platforn of Cologne central station. The man on reception is very kind, charming and made me feel happy.

There are lots of mosquitoes and extremely noisy from the street! In a small room without any ventilation. You must open the window to breathe. You can choose to suffer between the heat, the mosquitoes bites, or the noise. Please improve your facilities and cleanliness. Have you heard of the mosquitoes/flies nets? I stayed in your hotel on the 22th June 2023. The reservation was not under my name but I definitely stayed there and the receptionist was not friendly upon check-in.

I stayed at this hotel in August for 6 nights and had a very pleasant experience. Firstly, the hotel concierges were greatly helpful and genuinely seemed they were happy to help. Had some lovely chats with the man doing the evening shifts. The rooms too were nice, I was on the top floor but I could use the lifts for my case to get up there and also store it in the luggage hold they have. The room itself was always clean, had a nice little desk with nightstands and the bathroom was nice and well sized too, however at night the rooms are quite warm and if you have the window open there is quite a lot of noise from the main road and Hbf, however it is a sacrifice for the very central location and how close it is to the Hbf which made it a breeze getting there from my train. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

The hotel is located exactly next to the station. It is very tidy and clean. We had a great view of the cathedral and the stuff was friendly.

Not for families. Very business no nonsense uncaring service. Room’s okay but no airconditioning. Very busy area just at the Cologne HBF. If you come for business is okay, but not for families.

The whole experience was great and the room was super clean. The bed and pillows were extremely comfy while I wasn't expecting such a spacious and clean washroom. Views from the hotel were good and the best part was it's proximity from the cologne railway station as the property is located right in front of it. Nevertheless, the staff needs to be a little more friendly.

This is a very good 3 star hotel. The rooms are well designed so even though they not the biggest you have good space and feel comfortable. Everything was clean and working well. The location is great, you're really close to the station and all the attractions, and I was a bid worried it might be noisy, but surprisingly it wasn't at all, so happy about that. The only minus is that there is no air conditioning but you can ask for fans at the reception. The highlight is the staff, they are very friendly and attentive. I actually had an accident where I left a big amount of cash in the safe in my room after I checked out. But the hotel were very professional and kept it safe for me till I was in Cologne again. I really appreciate that, and since I had a similar situation in France where the cash magically disappeared, I would like to thanks the staff for being honest. Also Anna is one of the best receptionist I have ever encountered. The first time I stayed in the hotel I got really angry since the front door would not open for a while and after Anna saw that she let me in, apologized for the unusual error and with her great people skills she quickly made me feel welcome and relaxed and lose my bad temper. That's a great skill! She's always very friendly and professional when I stay at the hotel, which is really what makes a stay great when you're traveling.

Location is A+. We visited early August 2022 when the temperature was averaging about 18 degrees in the night, so no air conditioning was still alright. That said, they had already provided a standing fan. Room was clean. Despite location, it was not unbearably noisy (we stayed on the second floor facing the cross junction).

Located right in front of the central railway station and just several hundred metres from the dom. Great place to stay in Cologne.

The place has no AC but opening the windows brings noise from the train station. Hard to get fresh air and noise free sleep at the same time.

Everything was OK but rooms without A.C or Fan is like hell hot and if you open windows you can't sleep for a second,it's like you are in the middle of Bahnhof(train station). Location was really perfect ,staff was also nice.

Brilliant hotel..great staff..in a lovely big room on 6th floor. I told the staff it was my wife's birthday and literally every staff member wished her happy birthday during the day. And they gave us some fizz and cake for her birthday.

Nice little hotel conveniently located to the train. The front desk manager was helpful in storing our bags early and the check in process was easy. Rooms are a bit small, but modernly furnished and comfortable.

Great location if hotel for tourists, clean rooms, direct view at amazing Koln dome, very good breakfast.Recommended to visit. Only disadvantage was hotel parking which was full at that time but public one is available just close to hotel. So all good:)

The man at the front desk was so rude when I asked for an extra blanket...he said he would call me at 11pm and then I can come down to reception to get one. However he did not ask for my room number so I guess my request was as good as ignored. Breakfast was supposed to be included with the hotel room but during checkin I was informed that is no longer the case. The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to the Hauptbahnhof.

The hotel is as basic as they come. Beds and covers are very small, rooms are very noise do to a lot of traffic around it. It's clean but old and let go. Nice breakfast... Don't expect a lot....

Fantastic location and staffs. All staffs were superb and at their best. We have asked for quite few things and they were always happy to help and willing to offer more. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathroom were also spacious. Highly recommended!

The first hotel I visited to seek for availability. Couldn't get one. The hotel is situated right in the Cologne Central Station making it a possible destination for visitors. However, the building looks outdated and will need some renovations to make it more pleasing to the eye. For such an excellent location, I huge investment would never dissapoint.

Very good hotel, very good place near train station At a good price. Rooms are very clean and man from reception very nice, educated and elegant. I recomand this hotel, i Think is owned by a German family. I will return for sure.

The room we got had a queen size bed, only one mirror outside the bathroom, a wardrobe with hangers and a TV. The toilet was cramped and the floor got wet very easily as the shower had a raised, slightly domed shaped floor. The room does not have a kettle but you can ask for one at the reception. The hotel is located right outside the central station. My opinion: This is a hotel that's great for the location and price but is lacking amenity wise.
