Great location and clean rooms. So easy to get into the centre of Cologne by train. For a simple cheap hotel it was brilliant and parking was free.

During my recent stay at the Ibis Köln Airport Hotel, I had a mixed experience that left me somewhat dissatisfied. While the hotel's location and certain aspects were commendable, there were a few significant drawbacks that affected my overall impression. Starting with the positives, the hotel's proximity to the Cologne-Bonn Airport was undeniably convenient. It allowed for easy access and reduced travel time, which was a major plus point for someone with a tight schedule like mine. The cleanliness of the facilities and the modern design of the lobby also added a touch of sophistication to the hotel's ambiance. However, the receptionist's demeanor was a major disappointment. I encountered multiple instances where the reception staff displayed unfriendliness and impatience. Their behavior included raising their voices when answering questions, which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. As a guest, I expect a certain level of professionalism and hospitality, and unfortunately, this was lacking during my stay. Another aspect that left a negative impression was the high cost of the hotel car park. It was disappointing to learn that guests were required to pay 10 euros per night for parking. This additional expense was unexpected and not clearly communicated during the booking process. It would have been appreciated if the hotel had provided this information upfront, allowing guests to make an informed decision. On a more positive note, the room itself was satisfactory. Good service. Excellent location: sbahn station, long-term parking 🅿️ all in proximity as we needed. Also petrol station and fast food restaurant around the corner.

Hotel was clean, apart from smell from the drains in bathroom. Hotel was too warm, not just my room which seemed to have a malfunctioning thermostat, but whole hotel was very warm. Could not make room any cooler. When opening windows there was too much noise, so could not cool down that way. Save your money & turn the heating down, also better to limit spread of illness if made less warm. Staff were polite.

Hotel ok, but not good. Leaky armature dripping on the floor, area around sink constantly wet. Welcome had a lot of headspace ... we were the only guests checking in, and desk clerk made us wait 5 min to do his files/ admin. Not good enough for EUR 140 excl breakfast.

We had a pleasant one-night stay at the Ibis Hotel Cologne Airport during our business trip. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the convenient location near the airport was a plus. We recommend this hotel because of the excellent service and the pleasant rooms.

Room even without bottle water, bad quality toilet , paper for a 100€

We stayed here for a night before an early morning flight from Cologne Airport. The hotel was exactly as expected, quiet and clean. The S-Bahn Station to airport and city is nearby and run throughout the night. There are also several fast food restaurants nearby.

A tolerable hotel. Staff are exceptionally rude and helpful. Levied additional charges for things already paid. Location isn't the easiest to get too.

Out of the town, but has a fast s bahn connection. The price/quality is best in the City

You don't even provide bathroom sleepers, tooth brush and paste, not even a coffee and you don't even have the iron for ironing the clothes. Very disappointed never ever did booking in IBIS all over the world.

It's ok. The place is quite serene and less noise. The only problem I had was the key to my room.... always I have to change it...

Nice basic hotel in an excellent location, with a short train ride into Cologne.

Perfect hotel for it's price range. 4 stars because it was really clean which is for me the most important part of a hotel room. The breakfast was quality wise average, but there was a lot to chose from so everyone will find their favorite. Unfortunately the elevator was broken during my stay, but that didn't bother me and I saw that they had rooms for people with a disability on ground level, so even if the elevator doesn't work it won't bother anyone too much. I could hear some music and talking from the rooms next to me during the day, but since I went to an event in the LANXESS arena I came to the hotel when everyone was already asleep. I just hope I didn't woke them up because the walls aren't that thick. I had a room on the North side of the building so it was nice and chill despite the hot temperatures outside. I kept the cooling off. The showers are big enough, the bathrooms are big enough for 1 person, so you'll need to take turns to get ready in the morning if you're with more than 1. But in short, perfect hotel for the price range and I'll be back next year.

I'm Norbert ANTONY; working as an engineer in Germany, I travel a lot (every week regarding my business and I come often to Köln) Last Wednesday (22.06.2022) at 11.30 am I arrived at your hotel and there was a man at the reception who treated me extremely bad and behaved in a very strange way to me also extremely rude. That's not acceptable and I don't know without any single reason how he can behave in such a way and my suggestions if you have this kind of people in your reception I don't know how it will work for the hotel. All my colleagues also travel every week and of course I have shared my experience with this hotel with them. I'm not sure you will consider my experience but I want to explain what I faced. Bij far, the best Ibis in Europe i slept as Flixbus driver. Amazing breakfast and very clean rooms.

The price is high and the location is far from city center

Staff friendly, room is good, Frankfurter station is 5-7 min walking, only minor issue is no tea or coffee machine and they are very costly if ordered a single cup in kitchen.

Bedbugs in on of the room, the guy from reception said someone brought it here from a nearby lake. Yeah for sure. Water / waste smells like sulphur. Apparently also because of the lake. Half od the staff is very unfriendly and annoyed all the time. Poor breakfast service. ( I have been here multiple times, it is still the same, only this time with the bedbugs as a “bonus” )

Do NOT book this hotel. Checking in was an adventure again, like previous stays: this time they first couldn't find my booking, although I kept the confirmation email under their nose. I was wrong, according to them. When they finally found it, and gave me the key, I found an angry elderly German gentlemen in my bed; they had checked him in on my reservation. Then they gave me the key of a room with a broken lock, and finally they got me the last room they had. When I reported that the airco only provides hot air, they told me that it was bad luck, because it had just broken, which is not true, because it was already broken in each and every of my five previous visits in the past year, and they also then told me it had just broken. The temperature in the room must be above 24C; if I open the window swarms of mosquitos come in, because there are no screens although the hotel is next to shallow open water. The WiFi again was too slow to send emails with attachments, just like each and every previous stay. My customer books me into this place, but I will book another hotel next time. Basta.

Good hotel to stay in. Rooms are basic yet clean and spacious. It's located outside the city. There is a KFC and a petrol station. Also the train station is in walking distance. Das darf auch friendly. Parking is available at reasonable prices.

Nice place with standard Ibiz rooms, very silent due to the location. Good and varied breakfast. Wi-fi sometimes non-working. Staff enough friendly. Very easy to reach from the airport (1 station distance + short walk). Avoid kitchen, which is just proposing Flammkuchen and pizza. 7
