Check in was smooth and easy. First hand impression of the staff is nice but that changed later when they decided to charge us an extra fee we didn't know anything about (more info about that further down) Hotel room is quite nice size with a small kitchen. Unfortunately we had no pots or pans in the room which makes it very difficult to cook anything. (we went and bought some pans ourselves) The room was also very dirty when we moved in. We decided to wait for the cleaning staff and hoped they would clean it up next time they cleaned our room. They didn't show up though so we had to go to the reception and request cleaning. We had to do that everyday for 3-4 days before they finally came to clean! In the meantime we were killing silverfish which we found crawling around in our shoes, on our jacket and in our baby's baby nest! When we told reception about our insect problem their response was that they are living creatures! In the end the cleaning staff finally came and "cleaned". Please see the pictures attached. This was AFTER the cleaning staff were done with our room. We decided to clean the place ourselves and as the pictures show we found old used toilet roll, hairclips, a lot of dust, dirty mirrors and so on. Looks like they just change the bedding, we are not quite sure what they do... We were obviously not happy with our stay which we also pointed but it did not make a difference. !!! And be careful they charge an extra fee if you are more than 1 person in the room !!! !!! If you are more than 1 adult in the room, they charge 30€/night per adult !!!

Very good accommodation, wonderful food, good location and great services. Will come back when visiting Cologne. The breakfast was really varied and tasty - there were plenty of different options for everyone, from cereal and fruit to desserts from all over Europe. The omelette was especially good and the poofertjes were our child's favorites. The room seemed a bit bigger from the pictures and we don't really know how 4 people would've fit in it. We were 3 adult travelers and 1 baby and the room still felt cramped.

The service is extremely nice and the staff is friendly and helpful the location in the city Very close to the shopping center there is Rewe supermarket at the back of the hotel The hotel has washing machines at the lube .we did arrive today, the reception was different we had to wait after 3 o’clock to receive our rooms. We did have to change our floor because there is maintenance in that floor.

We were put on the side of the hotel facing the main street which was noisy and busy 24 hours a day. The windows have GREAT soundproofing; however, the hotel room was SO hot we had to keep the windows open to cool it down. The noise kept us up all night. The sheets on the sofa bed and trundle were covered in hairs and fabric fibers and the extra pillows and duvets didn't have covers. When we contacted the front desk they brought a flat sheet and pillow case, but nothing to cover the duvet. I ended up in the emergency room due to an allergic reaction to the sheets on the main bed. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Stayed for four nights. Check-in was smooth yet we had to pay the Cologne tourist tax which we had not been previously warned about. Luckily we could afford it but it was cheeky to expect us to be able to pay upfront with no prior warning. Hotel staff were friendly. We rented a studio flat and were explicitly told that the rooms are only cleaned weekly. It we can request cleaning if necessary. Once in the room it was clear it had not been occupied or cleaned for a long time. Lots of dust on the surfaces and the floor, and the shower was very mouldy. Bedding was crisp and clean so no problem there. However, I opened the dishwasher and dishes and cups were still in it, clean but turned upside down and full of water, so we didn't use it. I had to wash each utensil and crockery piece before use because I could see they were not clean. The temperature of the room was also quite warm which made it hard to sleep Overall, it's a quiet hotel with friendly enough staff and the location is great! We checked out quickly and received an email less than an hour later saying we had not paid the Cologne tourist tax. No further instructions as to what would happen if we "failed to pay" (which we had). We replied and said we had paid and provided proof of our bank statement. This communication is still ongoing as they cannot open the screenshot of our banking app. Not sure I would stay again, we'll see how this communication about the tax payment goes ...

We booked this on the Accor app, we prefer the Adagio to stay in where we can as the rooms are spacious and they normally have a laundry, so we can cook for ourselves and as we are on a tour of Europe we can wash our clothes. The room we had had a lounge room and separate bedroom. Both with TVs. The only downside with the TV, was they had certain channels in the list but they weren't subscribed to. We do like to watch a news channel in English where we can. One design fault in the kitchen was the alarm that is very sensitive. We cooked one night and the littlest amount of steam set it off. It made us not want to use the kitchen. Also a toaster in the kitchen would be good. We were on the first floor and due to the heat, we had to leave a window open, there is a bit of street noise especially from where people congregate at the smoking area. Ariel at check-in was excellent, we had one small issue with the bath and no plug, maintenance fixed this in ten minutes. A good stay, the hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the station, but the walk is pretty easy.

Nice place to stay, kitchenette to make basic meals which was nice. Short 10 minute walk into the shopping area. Lovely staff especially the lady who was very chatty with us having only just started on the job last Friday (when we arrived). Room was VERY VERY hot despite it being winter, aircon didn't seem to be doing anything so we had to open windows all day and have one window open of a night (the noise outside was horrific due to emergency services apparently being based nearby). If the aircon was working would have been perfect.

It’s very clean, accessible for public transport, not really far from the centre, and the most important they have the kitchen 😙.

Very nice staff, some appartments have kitchinette inside, there is a game place close to reception. Good value for the money.

It could have been a lovely stay only if it was cleaned properly. So many insects (silverfish) were all around the apartment. It was impossible to walk without shoes on. Dust and dirt behind the doors etc.. The washbasin was not cleaned when we entered. Otherwise the location was not too bad. Lobby was very bright and comfortable with kids activities and complimentary tea coffee.

My husband and I had a great experience at the hotel. Great service, rooms were very clean and in good shape, and the location is great. We would stay here again. It did help having an english speaking reception too.

The place was as detailed online. Clean and well maintained. The lady at reception was very helpful, informed us that there will not be any room cleaning on Sunday. Also helped us operate the common washing machine.

I spent two nights at aparthotel adagio Koeln recently. I rate my stay rather positively: excellent location, clean rooms, quick check-in. The problem is that the company does not inform when making the reservation that an additional city tax of 5% of the accommodation value must be paid. The website clearly states all taxes included in the accommodation price. I was at Adagio in Paris this year and I didn't pay any additional taxes at the reception during check-in, even though there is one, so it was already included in the accommodation price. I don't understand Accor's policy, it should be clearly marked and written that additional costs will apply upon check-in. I feel disgusted.

Well the hotel is actually quite okay but the staff is just super rude and you don’t really have the impression that you’re welcomed there. Also late check out is 60€ which is super expensive for the already expensive rooms.

Great Location and room. Very close to the city center. The only problem I had was that I visied at the end of April and the room was incredibly hot and the air conditioning unit was not cooling the room properly, so it got a bit uncomfortable there. Service staff was friendly but they couldn't do anything to fix my problem. I only stayed there for 3 days so it wasn't a deal breaker

The place is really bad, I would not recommend it to anyone. First of all, the rooms are not very big and equipment of them depends on your luck. The number of cups, glasses, forks, etc. Moreover, we checked in as 3 people and booked it for 3 as well and it's very funny to find so kindly left only 2 Nespresso coffee capsules, both of which are decaf. They also have a dish washer and I have clearly seen some capsules for the dish washers at the maid's trolley, however, we never got any in any of our rooms. All of the double beds are just two one-person beds together, which are really uncomfortable . Although, there are no noises from the street, all of the noises from the bathroom are heard by all of the people you live with, zero privacy. And, referring to bathroom, our door in a shower was making so loud noises, when you tried to open it, it was impossible to shower, while somebody is asleep. We lived there in January, however, they do not have ANY heating , air conditioner was blowing with either cold or extremely cold air and on top, when turned off, it still continued to blow with a cold air. The heater in the bathroom was not working as well. The cooker hood was more like a decoration, not working properly. We complained about our room the next day to probably the most rude receptionist in the whole world, (his surname is Scheide) who, after all my long list of complaints, said that this is absolutely normal and everybody has those issues in this place. The funny part is that we talked in English, since my English is better then my german, however, when he sent the housemeister to check on my complaints, the person was only able to speak to me in german. I imagine how this conversation would be like, if I would have not spoken German. After the check, the guy left as well and nobody ever came back. I had to call myself again on the reception and asked them to do something again. They finally changed our room to the one, next to us, which was cleaned in the morning. The room was also terribly cold, but they said this is a normal temperature in their hotel, so in the end we ended up with 2 electric heaters (they have those, if you are cold, ask them to give you the heaters). As I have mentioned , the room was cleaned in the morning, however, when we entered, there was a layer of dust on the floor all over the apartment. Moreover, there were paper bags from previous guests in the cupboard. In conclusion, I would recommend you to avoid this place unless you want to spend your time in a cold dirty room with the most arrogant person at the reception desk

The rooms should be cleaned more frequently instead of once per week. The dust particles on the floor at 5th day of our stay.

The hotel is in a good location. The check in process was the worst one. The checkin time is 3 pm and for early checkin (although) they wanted 25 euros per room… However rooms are big and clean…

Horrible. Staff was unfriendly. Supposed to receive a baby bed during my stay and did not receive anything the entire stay. Called guest services about it and they said housekeeping will bring it “whenever” which was very rude so my child had to co-sleep with us. Towels were extremely dirty. Sheets had yellow stains & I found a towel in the fridge. No housekeeping during our stay. Floors were filthy. Not worth it for what I paid. If I could give this zero stars I would. I avoided the room at all cost.

I booked three nights at this hotel and I had a pleasant stay. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. It is conveniently located and there is even a super market around the corner where you can get food and make your own meals in the kitchenette that comes with the room. The only downside is that they charge 6€ to use the washer and 4€ to use the dryer. I personally found this pricey for a small load of laundry. Not a deal breaker but worth to mention.

Good location with several restaurants. Not far from the cathedral. Small, but clean. The pillows were very flat and there was some mold in the bathroom tub. Staff was very helpful, parking was easy, and separate room for parents.

Generally a good experience here, apartment was clean and well equipped, staff were polite and friendly, area was safe even at night. Easily accessible, within 2 mins walk of a supermarket and 5 mins walk of multiple U-Bahn stations. Short walk to Heumarkt, Barbarossaplatz, and about 15 mins max to the Cathedral. Only a few negatives to mention: - the check in process was VERY slow - the bed was some sort of pull-down bed attached to the wall and was quite unstable and creaky - the apartment doors are big and heavy and slam shut if left to swing freely, and the walls literally shake every time somebody lets their apartment door slam - the apartment doors, despite slamming shut, don't actually lock properly unless you push them hard into the frame. I only realised this a few nights into my stay which wasn't ideal.

Great hotel space: proper apartment style studio rooms that are well appointed and very comfortable. We slept two couples here with no trouble at all. TV’s in every area, a well fitted kitchen with plenty of items to cook with. Hotel has good parking and has a huge menu of partners for delivery of food direct to the room. Recommended.
