Great little stay in this hotel.. 15/20 minutes walk from the main station/centre. Great location for the Christmas markets. Room/shower/toilet were very clean. Breakfast was continental but was ample choice. The staff I spoke to were friendly. Good hotel would stay again. 10/10

Nice little hotel not far walk from main centre. Can get everywhere on foot/scooter. Unfortunately we got room 3 which was out the back outside. I would say it was recently renovated as the smell of paint was very strong throughout our stay. It's right by the bins on the hotel, which is greeted by rats at night so you can hear them scurrying. The room itself was clean and spacious so no complaints there. The WiFi isn't strong unless down in main lobby. Breakfast is the same each morning no variety, just a small selection on offer. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

A very old hotel , could do with refurbishment. Unfortunately we had to switch rooms the day after we arrived. First room was very small and shower was working fine on arrival, however the next day the water was freezing. Second room was a little bit bigger. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms quite dusty. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Basic hotel for this price range. Not the most modern or cleanest but definately one of the cheapest ones. Location was close to the city center, shopping street and christmas market. Book if you want a cheap stay and don't care that much on the furniture or the rooms. Not a 4-star hotel but I would rate 4 stars for this price.

If you book here — and you shouldn’t — make sure to book a fully refundable fare. That way when you arrive to the filth and the stench, you can cancel your reservation without having to pay for the full night’s accommodation (as I did).

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Me and my partner stayed here for 5 days and had no problem. Our room was spacious and clean with friendly staff to help us if we needed. The location is great and central and mostly everything is within walking distance. I would highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again :) -only downside is breakfast as it's quite limited to what they have but it still filled us up for the day!

Bad smell in the room 28. Don’t know about the other rooms but it was quite dirty. The staff&location is very nice, that’s why I give three stars.

Quirky mock mediaeval decoration. Breakfast included. Friendly staff . Clean rooms, slightly old fashioned. NB British visitors - NO KETTLE

Great and friendly people. If you prefer to walk, you can walk to most of the place.

The reviews of this hotel had us a bit worried but the rooms are clean and the location is absolutely perfect.

The location isn’t bad it’s about a 6-8min walk to food and shopping. The parking garage they recommend is about 4min walk. The staff was friendly. The room is basic but if you end up on the first floor which only has 2 rooms it’s unfortunate cause you spent money to relax and sleep in but do to the room being next to the elevator it was very unpleasant stay and the lobby has a bad echo so you’re constantly hearing people talking when they’re in the lobby.

After reading the reviews , I was so nervous how it was going to be. But! Luckily my experience was fine. The room was tiny , I must say but the water was hot the staff were nice. The walls were not 'thin' as everyone was saying. The place is very central, one minute walk to the centre. The area is not dodgy it is fine. There is no water in the room unless you want to pay 4 euro. The wifi was good. My room was to the back of the hotel so I heard no Street noises

Lovely hotel and great staff. The check in was very smooth and the receptionist was great to chat to. The room was great for the money and did everything we needed for a cheap night’s rest. Breakfast was included in our cheap room price so you really can’t complain about it - not that there was anything to complain about anyway. There was a good selection of breads, cereals, drinks and hot food depending on what you want. Tea and coffee were available too. There’s plenty of seating and the food seems to be topped up quite regularly(as of when it needs to be topped up). The bathroom in the room was nice and the shower worked well. There was a safe in the room, but who actually uses those anyway. There was no mini-fridge, which isn’t a problem for the price paid. I definitely wasn’t expecting a stocked up mini bar, I just like having a fridge to store the stuff I buy myself in local shops. Overall I’d definitely recommend staying here. It’s about 15min walk to Köln Hbf or about 2-3min from the Heumarkt tram stop. It’s very accessible and there’s some lovely restaurants and bars in the area.

If ALL you need is a place to sleep this is it! Service was very good. Absolutely NO Extras 😔 not even cups in your room. BUT it is located In the famous Südstadt of Cologne😊 Not a "Netflix & chill" hotel.🤣😂🤣 More like a Motel with & H.

Some problems with parking in proximity of hotel and corridors don't look fantastic, but rooms are really clean and mine was almost new. Great crew, especially at reception. Congratulations because they made my fears disappear, since the room price is quite low!

The cheapest hotel in close vincinity of old town. The rooms are very small. Parking is possible at Haumarket Parkhouse with a daily rate of 12 Eur.

It an old hotel, but as long as you know that, It is perfectly fine. The location is very good. We were first given a room that had not been cleaned, but fortunately they had other available rooms, and changed it for us. We had a little communication challenge regarding parking. If you come by car, they will validate parking for the underground parking they recommend, and that will give you a very good discount. Just make sure you get it validated, because the parking is a ripoff without it.

I don’t know if the hotel is good or bad. But, my question was not answered in advance. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were not accommodated because I did not have a vaccine. I had a negative PCR test. My husband had a vaccine certificate. We stayed on the street for the night like homeless people! It's outrageous! I give a rating of 1! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Would never stay here, had booked for march 2020 and then Covid arrived, was unable to travel due to lockdown restriction in Germany ( Germany was not accepting visitors) Contacted hotel and they were so rude, not helpful at all. Told me they would transfer me to their Covid department - an unmanned phone line that rang out forever. When I rang back the told me to email their Covid department - No response. Essentially they had done everything in their power not to refund me the measly €160. Rude, no customer service, deceiving, lousy attitude towards customers. DO NOT GO HERE. Boycott the dodgy establishments that treat people bad during Covid. I expect you won’t get good customer service when you get there if they treat people like that.

Staff were friendly and the rooms were adequate. The people make it and they were lovely. It's in a good location and easy to get to the main high streets. However, of you're travelling with kids, you may have an interesting conversation with the adult store and cinema either side. It didn't take away from the trip and hotel for us, but I can understand it might put off parents with young kids

Great position if you want to visit the city or the Christmas markets. Room very small but clean (not perfectly but ok) the very big problem is the breakfast room, too small. Tables are not enough for all the guests so if you are not lucky you have to wait in the queue to have finally breakfast!

👍👍 An incredible place with a great collection of cars to buy and admire. It is completely free to enter something that absolutely blew my mind considering it houses the Michael Schumacher Private collection museum.
