Very friendly staff, decent rooms, and a yummy breakfast buffet. My view from my room on the 4th Floor was beautiful. It was very close to all my destinations, too. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Köln.

Basic hotel in a good location. Hotel has definitely seen better days and the rooms and decor seemed a bit worn/faded. However the room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and spoke English. Lively location with lots of bars, restaurants and clubs walking distance. Room was quiet though. Decent breakfast included.

Very nice hotel placed in city centre and although it's surrounded by many restaurants it's calm inside (at least during working days). Every employee I met was very kind and friendly. Rooms are nicely equipped, bathroom looked like brand new and overall very clean! Breakfast was all right, better standard I would say (somewhere in between 3 and 4 stars hotel). Got very nice impression from this hotel, had a pleasant stay. No idea why this is marked as two stars hotel only (at least in google maps), because it's as good as every other 4 star hotel (and cleaner). Maybe it's because of classic keys instead of card :) The official websites deservers a redesign though. For sure would recommend stay in Lasthaus am Ring.

The location and staff are lovely (when you meet them). However, do not arrive late. The check-in is not staffed after 10. You must rely on getting an email (That took several days and phone calls to get, just before boarding my flight - which caused great stress). The email details a code that you must use to enter the parking lot at the rear of the hotel. And then you go across the parking lot and enter another code to gain your keys. This is the first time I have ever experienced this set up to enter a hotel and hopefully my last. I didn't have breakfast here so can't comment. There is a REWE supermarket downstairs with a great selection of food and drinks. The hotel is lovely and quirky and my room was spotless.

Our room was not clean enough. There were peanut rests on the carpet, pieces of shampoo packages o the bathroom floor and hairs on the shower and bathtub. We told the lady from the reception and they checkes it but it was not really better after that. Other lady at the checkout told us personally that they have been having trouble with the cleaning staff and that they have been having these issues with a lot of guests. Besides that, everything was ok. Location is excelent with easy access to public transport, lots of restaurants, shopping opportunities and old town. Breakfast was good but not many options. Still we found plenty to fill out belly

We paid over 500 euros. The room is ok..expensive and the night of January 26, 2024 The phone at reception kept ringing all night…very annoying. I don't know how the other rooms sleep!! The hotel is next to the road. There was traffic and noise of people, pubs and bars playing music all night. I understand that's normal. But the sound of the phone ringing throughout the hotel all night displeased me.

I stayed one night and it was an extremely poor experience - the reception only told me that air conditioning was broken the day before and won’t be fixed until next week. The fact that they only informed me after I done my payment was WRONG, they even advised me to open the window in the room which can help. However, it was a poor advice because the road was very loud (a bar nearby played loud music until like 2/3am), it was impossible for me to keep window while I slept. The room cost EUR 125 without air conditioning was ridiculous. I’ve also checked the review after the fact and realised that there was just no AC according to all the bad reviews since early June. Besides that, the room isn’t very clean and the carpet is dirty which made me feel very uncomfortable. Totally ripped off.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, great location. Had a great weekend stay at this well located small hotel. Staff were helpful and we were given great advice, directions and local knowledge at reception on how to get the most out of our short stay in the city. Lots of interesting places to eat nearby, and just a 20 minute stroll through the town centre to the Cathedral. The hotel has a deliberate old fashioned decorative style when it came to furniture and ornaments in the communal areas that we found charming, but the room itself was very modern, warm, and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed (perhaps pillows could have been firmer for us?). After a busy day of site seeing a great place to come back to relax + re- charge. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Central location is what matters most. And you can't complain about anything else. Truly decent place to stay for the price they ask.

Business level hotel but a pleasant surprise. Very good location with in the city center. Also close to multiple subway lines.

We booked this hotel over cheaper options mainly because it advertised air conditioning. Arrived in the room around 10.30pm that night to find that the air conditioning did not work. Informed a member of staff. Staff member dismissed us and did not offer to come to the room and look at the problem. Instead he told us that they had no other rooms, no engineer would be able to come and implied that it wasn't even that hot. No compensation was offered. Tried talking about issue again while checking out (around 9.30am) but staff were nowhere to be found. There was also no incidation of when they would return. Very disappointing. Room should be in working condition whether staff deem 20-30C to be hot or not. Staff were not particularly welcoming in general.

Super clean, great location, easy parking, many restaurants running until 03:00-05:00 am in front of this hotel. Front desk is very friendly. We will be back again for sure. We recommend it to you.

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately the room was a little rundown, especially the bathroom. Lift didn't work which is inconvenient if your room is on a higher level.

Nice little hotel in perfect location if you want to have a night out. Our room had seen better days for sure. Breakfast was really basic. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Hotel is small but very familiar. The service is very good and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is also very good. Overall it's a good experience, a good place to stay.

Very quiet room at the back of the hotel. Service very good, neighbourhood is super. However, the room itself was not as expected from the photographs on the website. Dark, not entirely clean and with outdated (not historic) furniture. There was not many 'Alma' retro stuff added.

The room was fine, it’s clean and we had a bathtub which was nice. Unfortunately there were a couple of things we didn’t like. The breakfast serves only sweet things. I would definitely skip on it. There is no cheese or ham or anything like that. The reason? They said it was because of Corona. Well we have been to other hotels during Corona and this was never any issue before. Also I had a blister, there were no band aids. Is this not something every hotel should have as in a first aid kit? They kindly referred me to a pharmacy instead. The location is good and it has an old grandma style room for the breakfast buffet, so that is funny and original.
