Given its location next to the cathedral, don’t expect great luxury for the budget rate you pay in this hotel. If you are not bothered with the 80s design or outdated service, this is the place to be as the room is clean and breakfast is OK. There’s airco in the room, which I did not try as my room was at the backside of the hotel & I was able to sleep with the windows open. The bells of the cathedral will wake you up early but that was the only noise I heard during my stay. Obviously this hotel does not have a parking space but there are underground parking lots nearby. Personally I prefer a more contemporary hotel to really enjoy my stay but this time I was on a budget and in that case it’s probably one of the better choices in Cologne

Checking in was good. Location is very central and the hotel is reasonably easy to find. Our room was on the first floor and had the restaurant below kitchen exhaust fan blowing in the void space between building rightvat the room window- not good for opening windows on hot days and is very loud. Room is not as described on Booking.com. No cable channels, no coffee making machine, no radio, very basic room not recently renovated and not like the photos on Booking.cm. suggest. Would not recommend in current state

1/5 I was convinced with this Hotel to booked for my 2 overnights in Köln though I am alone and just want to go around the city, so I booked a standard room for 1 person. The price was fair enough. The location was good for me. But my first evening was a horror I slept in a bed with a lot of BED BUGS! They gave me the room with BED BUGS! First I was complaining already if I can get a new room because the smells of that room was too dry like I am in a basement but the guy in the reception was awful and tellin´ that there was no any room for me anymore even if I am going to pay extra for a room with air condition. He said *they are fully booked*. In this time of Corona. He lied up to me. But as I complained around 2 am in the morning because of what I found out I got another room! Disgrace! I moved out the next day into other Hotel. I cannot stay there anymore for another 1 last night . I don´t need to take a risk! Well the 2nd room they gave me was such a bad smells too still I saw many flying insects around and crawling the wall. It was such a worst and traumatic experienced for me in that Hotel. Btw. the money I paid I got it back but the bites of bed bugs is still disturbing me into my skin and that was happened 6 days ago.

Friendly English speaking staff. Good value. Good location. I've stayed many times over the years. The rooms are older, very basic furnishings and very decor. The hotel and rooms are kept clean. TV service is very basic - no English TV stations or English shows - only German or German over dubbed; and maybe a Turkish news channel. Bathroom amenities minimal. Only all-purpose body wash - no soaps. Hotel is on a busy street but fairly quiet at night for good rest. They offer a good breakfast for extra money. No air-conditioning in the rooms. Ask for a fan. No telephones in the rooms. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Cologne's Main Train Station - 5 minutes from the Cologne Cathedral.

Rented a small room for one at a very reasonable price. Although cramped and minimal, the central location and proximity to the Dom/Cathedral and train station is a huge convenience. Great value if you're just looking for a clean bed and shower near the major sites.

Stayed one night here in December 2022. It is pretty ran down, front desk folks only spoke Russian, room had rust in the bathroom, etc.. Overall it felt like I was staying in an old one star motel 6. I stayed here for the location, but I don't think I would stay here again.

Dirty towels, mystery sludge dripping off the bathroom ceiling, broken shower, broken door handle, uncomfy whisperthin mattresses, blankets way too thick for the hot weather. People outside hanging out, talking, drinking, as if the street is their living room until midnight. Awful stay, do not recommend. Close to the dom but id rather sleep well and ride the bus than be woken up at 5 in the morning by tourists.

This hotel's internet is weak. There is no proper Wi-Fi signal anywhere. Even in 2023, 3-5 mbit internet is still not available, the connection is constantly interrupted, 50 mbit fiber optic internet in Germany costs 50 euros per month. This hotel does not have the capacity to pay 50 euros a month. Quality zero is not recommended.

First night, the heater was broken in my room. It was on the highest level. Next morning I complained and didn't really get a great service. Next night it was fixed. The rooms were totally overpriced - but that's what typically happens during trade fair dates in cologne. Though, I think, this hotel was milking it too much. Not cool. The room itself is very basic. I had a couple of ants running over the bed. The were some spots on the walls and there was a water heater just randomly standing on the floor. Don't expect much. Location is great.

Stayed here for 1 night. Friendly staff, the room was clean, the bathroom was very clean. Just like the beds. Yeah, you're close to the Dom and you're in the inner city. So, don't expect 0 noise in the night/morning.

Very close to the Dom. Walking distance would be enough for a day tour or two. The room setups are reasonable to the price and location.

Amazing location, literally a couple of minutes away from the Cathedral and from Cologne Central Station. Breakfast is good and varied. Rooms are clean and all is working. Will need some updating soon though. Overall a good stay.

Stayed here during Christmastime. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, and staff very accommodating. I had a last minute reservation and had to check-in in the early morning. They got me into the room without fuss and really set me up to enjoy my stay in the city. Next time I visit Cologne, I'll check this place out again. It was a great value for the money spent.

Had a terrible experience. Smelly, stained, dirty rooms and unfriendly staff. Avoid it if you can!
