After some time I decided to write a review for Care Vision Cologne. The initial situation was around -5 diopters in both eyes and a cylinder of -4 and -2. My Lasik surgery took place at the end of 2017 (I was 22 years old). At that time I was at the preliminary examinations in Cologne and Krefeld. My father and I decided to do the operation together. I can't say much about the operation itself, I was very nervous but everyone was super nice and it went over very quickly. Same with my father. The values ​​would fluctuate so much every time that it would not be possible to carry out subsequent surgery. After 3 years I gave up. I had no more energy to be disappointed. And there was no support from Care Vision either. I felt like once you've had surgery and they're no longer interested in you. In January 2023, however, I pulled myself together again. I was tired of glasses and I had paid to not have to wear glasses anymore. My doctor no longer worked there at the time and I was referred to another doctor. He actually gave me hope that we could do it. He explained to me that we would do a PRK since you probably can't do another Lasik. That was completely fine for me, but I was only quickly guided through the procedure of the operation, so I actually had no idea what to expect from a PRK. In any case, I made an appointment for February 2022. The day before the operation I was called that we should postpone the day of the operation by one day because a few preliminary examinations should be carried out (I found that a bit strange). After these examinations, the doctor told me that he couldn't operate on me tomorrow, he would like to discuss this with the medical director first and then he would get in touch. But he didn't - I contacted him in April - he had forgotten me. We agreed on a new laser appointment for PRK in September. The operation itself went very well again, this time also with less excitement. When asked “And how was it?” I said more pleasantly than the Lasik, to which the doctor said "Yeah, wait and see." He then also gave me anesthetic drops in case of an “emergency”. I have to say from all the reports I've seen about PRKs, my pain has been very subdued. It wasn't significantly more painful than the Lasik operation. The healing process was of course significantly longer, but I think that's normal. After the operation I never saw the operating doctor again; the follow-up discussions took place with an employee. I had my last follow-up examination in December 2022 and am satisfied with my vision to date (January 2024). I haven't had an eye test since then, but I don't notice any deficits either. I haven't had to use drops for about 2 months now because my eyes are no longer dry. My conclusion: In the end, the result is of course good. However, I am very dissatisfied with the support from Carevision. If everything doesn't go smoothly during the operation, you need a lot of perseverance (I think I was there about 30 times).

Bei mir stand dann der Op nichts im Wege und so machte ich für Ende November einen Termin zur Femto Lasik in Düsseldorf. Auch dort war man vom tollen Team jederzeit super betreut und alles war sehr angenehm. Die Op an sich war echt harmlos und überhaupt kein Problem. Jede Zahnreinigung ist schlimmer.. Es lief alles perfekt ab. Von der ersten bis zur jetzt dritten Nachuntersuchung war bisher immer eine deutliche Steigerung des Sehvermögens zu messen. Zum Thema Vor und Nachuntersuchung möchte ich den sehr kompetenten und mega freundlichen Optiker Meister hervorheben der die Test bei mir sowohl in Köln als auch zufällig in Düsseldorf bei mir durchführte. Wenn man wie ich relativ stark weitsichtig ist oder war braucht nan etwas Geduld mit seinen Augen ,dies bekommt man aber schon vorher genau so erklärt und sollte niemanden beunruhigen. Ich habe seitdem keine Brille mehr getragen und kann sehen wie nie zuvor obwohl die Heilung und Entwicklung noch nicht abgeschlossen sind. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder tun und empfehle wirklich jedem diesen Schritt zu gehen, und ihn bei Care Vision zu gehen. I have been using the eye drops for over 4 months now and still suffer extremely from dryness. When I wake up in the morning my eyes are so dry that I can hardly open them. When I'm driving, I'm blinded by oncoming headlights and even the taillights of cars in front of me. After another conversation in the practice, I was told that my eyes are still very dry and that I therefore have problems with my vision and that the astigmatism is so slight that it cannot be corrected. Die Augentropfen, von welchen man nach der Op quasi abhängig ist, sind ebenfalls kein geringer Kostenfaktor. Es ist schwierig geduldig zu sein und den Fortschritt der OP abzuwarten. Jetzt, nach ziemlich genau 5 Monate später habe ich noch Schwierigkeiten beim Auto fahren im dunklen sowie bei der Pc Arbeit im Büro. Ich hoffe es verbessert sich noch, damit sich diese Investition und die ganzen Fahrten nach Köln auch ansatzweise gelohnt haben. Im Gesamten weiß ich noch nicht so genau was ich davon halten soll dies gemacht zu haben und hoffe ich werde es in den nächsten Jahren nicht bereuen. Zudem hoffe ich erstmal keine Brille mehr zu brauchen, weil ansonsten alles umsonst war. Insgesamt wurden mir meine Fragen vor Ort aus meiner Sicht unzureichend beantwortet. Natürlich weiß keiner wie jeder einzelne auf diese op reagiert, jedoch hätte ich mir etwas mehr gewünscht, dass sie auf mich eingehen und sich bemühen. Ich habe vor ein paar Wochen meine Augen Lasern lassen. Pro: Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich bisher zufrieden, es ging alles sehr schnell und die Angestellten sind nett. Kontra: Ich wurde definitiv nicht hinreichend über den Eingriff aufgeklärt. Ich finde der Eingriff ist wirklich sehr intensiv, worüber kein Wort verloren wurde. Auch hatte ich die Stunden nach der OP wirklich Schmerzen in den Augen und konnte kaum etwas sehen, was mir ebenfalls niemand im Vorhinein gesagt hat. Mir wurde sogar gesagt, ich könne ruhig alleine Bahn fahren nach der OP. Ich würde jedem Patienten raten sich nach der OP abholen zu lassen, Schmerzmittel Zuhause zu haben, sich für den Tag nichts vorzunehmen und jemand Zuhause zu haben, der sich um einen kümmern kann. Die Schmerzen gingen nach ein paar Stunden weg aber wäre ich alleine gewesen und ohne Ibuprofen wäre ich durch gedreht. Hierüber wurde in der Aufklärung kein Wort verloren, es wurde alles sehr herunter gespielt und so getan, als wäre man sofort nach der OP wieder fit. Der Eingriff selbst verlief schnell. Frau Dr. Fesser erklärte währenddessen was Sie macht und hat mich dadurch währenddessen abgelenkt. Heute hatte ich den ersten Nachsorgetermin und meine Sehkraft liegt schon wieder bei 100%. An dieser Stelle ein großes Dankeschön an die behandelnde Ärztin Fr. Dr. Fesser - äußerst kompetent, menschlich und professionell - und das sehr nette Team. Ich habe mich bei CARE Vision sehr wohl gefühlt und würde mich jederzeit wieder bei CARE Vision behandeln lassen. Ich kann dieses Augenlaserzentrum uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Dauerhaft hat man sich gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Alle Mitarbeiter nehmen sich auffallend viel Zeit, erklären einem jeden Schritt bis ins kleinste Detail und halten einen dauerhaft auf dem aktuellen Stand und informieren, was als nächstes passiert. Jede der zahlreichen Untersuchungen werden erklärt. Alles in allem fühlt man sich einfach wahnsinnig wohl und gut aufgehoben. Rückfragen per Mail in der Zeit zwischen Voruntersuchung und OP Tag wurden am gleichen Tag noch beantwortet. OP// Ergebnis: Das einzige, was ich bereue ist, es nicht früher getan zu haben! Der Arzt wirkt sehr routiniert, der Eingriff selbst war im Handumdrehen vorbei. Während der OP erklärt einem der Arzt jeden Schritt - man fühlt sich auch hier dauerhaft gut aufgehoben. Während der OP hatte ich keine Schmerzen, nicht einmal das unangenehme Druckgefühl, vor dem ich gewarnt wurde, kam auf. Nach der OP konnte ich direkt ohne Brille sehen (noch nicht wie mit Brille, aber es funktionierte). Als die Betäubung nachließ, begannen meine Augen zu tränen und ich konnte sie kaum offen halten. Nur wenige Tage nach der OP hatte ich meine alte Sehfähigkeit (die, die ich mit Brille hatte versteht sich) wiedererlangt. Weiterhin keine Schmerzen. Hält man sich an den Tropfenplan, hatte ich kein Trockenheitsgefühl, kein verschwommenes Sehen oder ähnliches.
