The old laundry is a beautiful Portuguese family-run café which, in addition to delicious coffee, offers very tasty pastel de nata (puff pastry tarts with pudding), one of the most famous desserts from Portugal. Was angeboten wird, schmeckt aber gut. Das Café ist eigentlich sehr nett und in guter Lage. Leider wirkt es aber ziemlich schmuddelig. Von den dreckigen Fenstern über die vollgestopfte hintere Ecke (von alten Geräten bis Vorräten wird da so einiges gelagert), draußen liegen öfter Abfälle neben den Tischen. All das macht es nicht besonders gemütlich. Schade. Die Bedienungen sind meistens freundlich und nur öfter überfordert (wechseln auch öfter). Alles in allem ok, aber in Zollstock gibt es nettere Läden.

Wegen einer Beerdigung hat sich eine 12 Personen starke Gruppe zusammengefunden und dieses Café hat uns trotz früher Stunde herzlich willkommen geheißen. Tolles Ambiente, frische Teesorten und ein sehr leckerer Kaffee haben unsere Gemüter erhellt. Die beiden Damen im Service haben mit ihrer Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit das ganze abgerundet.
