4/5 Roshni S. 1 year ago on Google
I
stayed
here
for
a
few
days
with
my
family
-
my
parents,
my
husband
and
my
dog.
I
had
booked
2
rooms
~
"Ace"
and
"Spade"
at
Yellow
Bricks.
Spade
has
an
attached
washroom
and
a
small
kitchennette
with
RO
water
filter
and
induction
cooker
and
a
small
open-to-air
sitout.
Ace
has
only
an
attached
washroom.
The
good
parts
:
Booking
Management
:
The
booking
coordination
and
speed
of
response
was
superb.
It
is
managed
by
Rupesh
Da.
It
was
extremely
smooth
and
well
managed.
Here
I
must
mention
that
Rupesh
Da
also
went
out
of
his
way
to
help
find
a
place
for
my
mom
and
me
for
a
couple
of
days
when
Yellowbricks
was
fully
booked
and
we
had
literally
no
where
to
go!
Rooms
and
Food
:
The
rooms
are
exactly
as
shown
in
the
pictures.
The
place
is
aesthetically
done
up
and
kept
clean.Breakfast
is
complimentary
(egg
and
bread
in
different
forms
on
different
days)
and
lunch
/
dinner
can
be
cooked
on
request.
We
recommend
the
Shukto
and
Rui
Kalia
cooked
by
Munna
Da.
The
fish
pieces
were
huge
and
the
food
was
lipsmacking.
Location
:It
is
situated
in
a
lane
right
next
to
the
Ballygunge
Phari
auto
stand
so
you
can
book
Uber
and
Ola
easily
and
you
can
also
easily
hail
or
get
autorickshaw
drops.
There
is
a
Balram
Mullick
outlet
at
stone's
throw
from
the
property
to
satiate
all
your
sweet
tooth
cravings.
Don't
miss
to
have
their
baked
rossogollas!
Gariahat
market
is
also
nearby.
A
share
auto
will
take
Rs
10
per
person
(as
on
date)
to
take
you
from
Ballygunge
Phari
auto
stand
to
Gariahat
Pet-friendly
:
The
place
is
pet
friendly.
Your
pupper
can
stay
with
you
!
That
was
surely
the
best
part
of
the
deal!
The
not
so
good
parts.
1)
The
entrance
to
the
Spade
room
is
quite
low
and
one
has
to
duck
their
head
to
protect
their
heads
from
hitting
the
solid-wood
door
frame.
As
guests,
we
are
not
in
the
habit
to
duck
our
heads
and
there
is
no
warning
signage
put
around.
So
my
dad,
my
husband
and
I
banged
our
heads
several
times.
My
husband
also
injured
his
head
(with
blood
oozing
from
his
head)
on
one
occassion
when
he
forgot
to
duck.
Something
needs
to
be
done
about
it.
2)
Although
the
location
is
great
on
google
maps,
the
last
leg
of
the
journey
(
5-7
min
walk
)
is
a
one-lane
road.
So
if
a
vehicle
has
entered
from
one
end
of
the
road,
no
other
vehicle
has
space
to
enter
the
lane
from
the
other
end.
Also
cab
drivers
are
skeptical
to
take
their
cabs
through
the
narrow
lane
even
if
you
let
them
know
that
they
can
easily
turn
around
and
go
back
to
the
main
road.
As
a
result,
if
you
have
lots
of
luggage
with
you
(like
we
did),
you
will
need
to
lug
them
through
that
lane
in
order
to
reach
the
property.
As
this
is
a
bread
and
breakfast,
we
understood
that
we
would
have
to
manage
our
luggage
on
our
own
so
we
did
not
ask
for
help.
But
it
surely
was
inconvenient.
But
all
said
and
done,
I
liked
the
property,
the
food
and
our
stay
at
Yellowbricks.
