What a beautiful place to walk/bike/run . Very well taken care of, casual location and very easy trail for all ages. Large enough if you need a little distance but short enough for little kids (like I have). If you need a chill walk on a Sunday afternoon, try this trail. Fair warning, not a lot of shade so it can get toasty.

Lovely place. Nice to walk/jog/bike,stroller friendly, easy for toddlers and kids to walk, beautiful views and lots to see. See what different animals you can see each time- there's engaged birds there! Don't feed the animals. Dogs only on leash!!! No bathrooms no shade. Fairly short but great way to get in your steps while enjoying the nature.

My wife and I brought our 2 year old son here as a quick chill bike ride. We absolutely loved it, it was definitely being well used and for obvious reasons! We saw several families walking and some were biking like us as well. The 2 mile stretch is both scenic and relaxing. We ended up doing two laps and enjoyed the views and the marsh. Definitely a great family spot and even better they have a dog park there too. Before leaving we stayed to enjoy the doggies enjoying the park. There are trash cans available and 2 rickety porta-a-potties in case you can't hold it. Otherwise, there's just enough parking and it's perfect for family outings!

Paved along gravel path. Pretty scenery. I wouldn't call this a hike - more like a longish straight away. Good for runners and bikers, or people just looking for an easy path to elevate your heart rate on. There's no shade so make sure you have some form of SPF. You'll see lots of dogs here because of the dog park and dog-friendly trail.

Omg. So beautiful. Especially on an overcast day! The birds were out chirping and posing for pics. Such a lovely place and great for a run, bike ride, or just enjoy a little nature walk.

Let's hope this place never turns into the Blaisdell Park/Pearl Harbor bike path.

Love this trail. From the parking lot you'll pass through a native Hawaiian plant area, then onto a gravel pathway past the channel leading out to the ocean. There is a cemented walkway alongside a stone wall that runs the entire length of the pathway. The trail ends at a paved walkway that leads down from Kailua road.

Plenty of parking, two Porta-Potties in the parking lot and flat walking make this a great spot. Wear a hat and sunscreen, there's no tree cover at all. We saw some interesting birds too. It says 2.9 miles in and out, we did not walk to the end, but turned around 3/4 of the way to the end. There is a sidewalk that is right up against a stone wall. Running next to the sidewalk is a gravel road that could be easily biked.

Stroller friendly trail to take the kids 🤎 However I don’t recommend women going alone especially with children since the area is so secluded. There isn’t a crowd of people that frequent this trail so you’d more than likely be out there alone. Nice trail. But just bring a friend or partner to tag along with you.

A great paved or dirt road path along the marsh. Great for kids and/or dogs. It is not very busy on this path. It can be very hot as there is no shade but we went on a rainy, overcast day. Parking is located on the lot at the begining of the trail.

Just discovered this gem! It has a lot to offer: dog park, picnic benches, a nice three mile running/walking trail, and great views from the marsh.

I was hesitant to do this walk by myself, so the first time I went with a friend. There were so many people taking advantage of the walk ... Some with their families, some with pets, some on bikes, and some alone. So the next time, i went by myself. It's a very enjoyable walk. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful flat trail along the marsh and canal. There's no shade but it's a lovely flat paved walk in nature. My kids also love to fish in the marsh along the trail.

(Translated by Google) A lot of birds can be seen. Lonely. There are hardly any people. The parking lot was nice and rattled. (Original) 鳥がいっぱい見られる。人なつこい。殆ど人がいない。駐車場もガラガラでよかった。

If you dont like dodging cars on your walk/run to exercise, this is your place. A flat path on your choice of both asphalt or dirt awaits anyone on the 1.5 mile one way (3 miles both ways) trek. If you're trying to lose weight, load up on the sweats and do this around 3-6pm in the early eve late afternoon when its super hot, you will drop some water weight.

Open playground, w/paved parking lot. Large, Long field. No backstops for baseball or softball. No Soccer goal frames. Two Porta-potties next to parking lot. Entrance to walking path that goes along stream/marsh.

Not sure where the great trails are that others have written about but we struggled to find an entrance in mid March 2023, and all entrances locked up tighter than a drum. We parked on the side of the road and tried to find walkable paths, but it was total muddy mayhem, cluttered with garbage and broken down equipment. See photos. Total disappointment.

Running the trail one way is 1.4 miles and round trip (back and forth) is 2.8 miles. Lots of wildlife and birds.

Amazing open area with friendly dogs and friendly people. It is not fully fenced in, so be mindful of that before arriving. We will certainly be back!

We love going to the marsh to feed ducks. We feed them peas and seed since bread is dangerous to birds. The animals will come right up to you and wait for food. More of a kailua tradition in our family but my wife and I have fed these ducks for the last 14 years. We always make a trip on our visit to Oahu since we are living out of state now

Fantastic walk. I fractured my hip and need a relatively flat place to walk and this fits the bill. Very scenic, good distance, not overly crowded.
