Beautiful views of the west coast and one of my favorites for watching the sunset. The warm water pumped out of the electro plant make it a favorite for dolphins, so you may get lucky and see them swimming in the discharge about 400 meters out. There is a small beach to swim, but the tide comes in pretty heavy for smaller kids. If you snorkel, be sure to use fins to get out far enough to really see things and ensure you can get back in. Bad news? The amount of trash is disheartening and the whole vibe changes when locals move in each night. This was true 13 years ago and is still true today. My most recent visit included a man backing his truck up to the edge and setting an outdoor speaker on the back of his truck to blare music while we watched the sunset. Another man (looked to be 50) raced his scooter all over the pavilion and parking lot for five minutes despite people walking everywhere. A woman appeared to be living out of her shopping cart. To top it off, a man was smoking something stronger than marijuana in the car next to ours as we loaded up to leave. Watch the sunset then move out.

Electrics is such a fun spot. There's s lot of scuba commercial activity lately, but that's okay. Watching the tourists get in and out of the water is always entertaining. As for the dive, there is a tiny Buddha to find out near the fishing breaks and at the end of the pipes there's a lot of marine life. If I ever want to show people some turtles, this is the spot to do it at. Remember, never touch turtles, and if they come up for air, give them plenty of space away from you.

Always a beautiful time here. Great beginner spot for shore walk-in scuba diving. Showers provided.

This is a great access park for Snorkeling. There is a small sandy beach portion where families can chill or you can drop your sandals off (honor system) before heading out to the reef. Put on that sunscreen!

My favorite place to go snorkeling in Oahu. Waves can make it a little tough to get out, but it’s always worth it! I have seen so many different marine wildlife at this beach it’s fantastic. Perfect way to spend an afternoon. Then go stop at Teddy’s on the way home.

Great Little beach on the west side. There is a restroom facility and covered picnic area. Pretty small beach but some great snorkeling areas. Parking is easy to find and close to the overlook.

Super cool place. Right at a power plant so the plants cooling system dumps into the ocean about 100 yards off shore. The warm water attracts tons of fish. Any species you can think of. We even had a sea turtle come up and swim with us. It was awesome. A place you have to go snorkeling or diving when visiting Hawaii.

Cool public beach. Some homeless hanging around and the locals dont like tourists. Lots of fish, turtles to see. Easy access. The beach my son likes the best. Walk up the coast to the east to find a cool little beach by the cultural center.

Beautiful spot, but there are quite a bit of sketchy people in the area. We didn't feel safe being too far away from our vehicle. I wouldn't bring families here. The sunsets here are great tho!

wait until the water is more calm. swim out to the orange buoy, that where the snorkeling is. i couldn't figure out the wave pattern at first and got scared and didn't get to snorkel. i felt like i was fighting for my life for 5-10min when i first entered. the waves are STRONG and there's lot of random rock coming up to the surface even 20 feet out. I was so terrified.

Super snorkeling spot, many fish, 5-15 meters deep, stunning water views, fins are mandatory to swim out the beach. The beach is very small

It's a nice area but dangerous⚠️ the rocks are very sharp, the current is strong there. It's not a place where I would allow my younger children to explore. There's plenty other family friendly beaches that would be safer to go to. But as far as a look out point, they got a bench you can sit on, maybe 2. Not sure if they have restrooms but there is a small parking lot & it was full. I saw people fishing, scuba diving and young guys jumping off a cliff into the water 🌊

Very nice views. We were just there on Feb 7th about 9 am and saw whales breaching. The previous night caught a great sunset. A little run down though.

A real jem of a place. The beach was so beautiful. Definitely make reservations ahead if time if possible. Otherwise you have to get there between 7-9 am. We were there at 710 and there was a big wait in line to get in. Very clean. Food available for purchase. The fish there were so beautiful. A must when in Hawaii

Very small beach, but a great snorkeling spot if you swim out a ways. Swam with 3 turtles and some dolphins on 9/13/20. Lots of people, but the turtles didn't care. Go right at dawn, though, and you'll have the place to yourself.

The waves at the shore break may look scary, but if you wait for the fleeting moment when it’s relatively calm, you can just keep snorkeling past that and the waters would be more enjoyable. I saw a turtle, schools of fishes, and an eagle ray! Really lovely snorkel spot, but like what other reviews said, it’s recommended for strong swimmers.

I love this beach, can be dangerous if you font want to just swim or go past the break. Yoy shouldn't dive, i saw a bald drunk man dive underwater in this beach and he hit the top of his head on a rock and was blood gushed from his scalp. Dont come to this beach drunk. :)

The intro to SCUBA diving here was awesome! There is a lot of sea life and structures under the water here that made it one of the highlights of our trip! There is an old collapsed lighthouse just beyond some tubes that draw in all sorts of critters! We saw turtles, a white tipped reef shark, a spotted Ray, eels, and of course fish... lots of fish! Huge population of Hawaii's national fish too, the humuhumunukunukuapuaa (a.k.a. reef triggerfish). A young turtle was very curious about me as I was snorkeling here. I was above water and another snorkeler pointed and said there was a turtle behind me. As I put my face down, it bumped me in my shoulder before I even knew it WAS THAT CLOSE! Really startled me but so fun to watch as it dove down to the turtle cleaning station there! The park was nice too. Nice Pavillion, restroom, and rinse station. We will definitely return when we go back to Hawaii!

One of the best spots to get some snorkeling in! Follow the pipeline out, and enjoy the warm water, but don’t get directly in line with the pipes as the discharged water will push you! Great place to see sea turtles and fish, dolphins if you’re lucky!

Saw sooo many fish at the outlets of the pipes: the most I’ve ever seen snorkeling the Hawaiian islands. Even better than 2 step on the Big Island. Not extremely crowded. Entry is slightly difficult depending on the strength of the waves, but really good snorkeling.

Beyond beautiful spot. You can stand at the tip and almost feel like your in the middle of the ocean. The seals definitely blend in depending on where they are napping. I almost walked right up to a very large one naming on a rock and got barked at! The beach is broken peace of coral and you can also find big cowerie shells. The hike to get there is also gorgeous and worth ditching the car and taking the hike instead. When you get to the tip, there is beautiful sand and interesting birds. A must do if you are visiting oahu!

Great place to snorkel! We went early in the morning before the crowds got there. Saw a ton of fish and turtles both times we went!

Great place but can get crowded in the parking lot and in the water. Can surface snorkel, but it's better for those who can get below 15-20 feet. Also a 200 yard fin to get to the warm water discharge, which is the key spot, whether just looking at the fish or looking to spear fish.

Beautiful spot for snorkeling, scuba diving, or a relaxing view of the ocean. Waves are a bit rough getting into and out of the water, due to a narrow inlet but worth the fight. Power Plant outlet adds hot water into the ocean creating a spot for people to enjoy great combinations of wildlife.

The jet snorkel Charles does far exceeded my expectations. As a certified divemaster, he makes sure everyone is safe and his wing-shaped, rwin fan units are SO much more powerful than the ones that look like personal fans. It makes going out and getting back a snap and you can use them to enable going deeper and faster. The price is half of a silty Waikiki snorkel, with the bonus of the warm water from the power plant discharge. Best snorkel EVER, after 101 trips to The Islands!

Great diving and snorkeling location if you’re a confident and competent diver/snorkeler. Be aware that theft is common here, so avoid keeping anything high value in your vehicles.

Really small little beach park but there’s a couple of tables and the standard showers/bathrooms. There was also plenty of parking when I arrived in the afternoon on a Saturday. The sandy beach area with access to the water is extremely small. The rock outcropping does give beautiful views of the sunset. Really nice views although be careful of the tides, the waves are strong and pretty high but get lower when you get out of the cove a little bit. Don’t get out too far as you want to be able to swim back quickly if needed. Was able to see 2 sea turtles, plenty of fish, and of course corral.

One of the best spots for coral and fish on Oahu, plus if your lucky some dolphins might pass by, please don't follow them though! Theyll swim up to you.

Less touristy snorkel haven. Saw dolphins and swam with schools of fish! We watched our bags get stolen off the beach though, as well as our rental car get rummaged through and couldn’t swim in fast enough to stop the guy, so watch your stuff!!
