I had heard so much in regards to their food and was extremely excited but so much of my order just went wrong. I ordered the furikake plate and asked for "tossed salad" when they ask, "Mac or tossed". I received my order and due to being pressed with time, left without checking it. The rice that comes with the plate was missing and the tossed salad was more a sea of ranch with hardly any salad. Inedible. The only thing I'll say is despite being extremely upset, their furikake chicken itself was good, but damn, that sea of ranch made me nauseous just looking at it.

So yummy! We waited about 5 min for the fried chicken but it's completely worth it. Huge portions & old school spaghetti mac salad is delicious!

Portions are good size for big appetites, especially their signature fried chicken plate. Their Mac salad is different, but in a good way: they use spaghetti noodles rather than macaroni, and they add some tuna fish to it. So far, I've eaten the fried chicken, mochiko chicken, furikake chicken, garlic chicken and Lau lau. All were tasty, but nothing all too special; standard. But good. Can't go wrong with KJs if you want a plate lunch.

KJs is thee spot to go to if you want ono fried Chicken on the windward side of Oahu. Today I ordered a fried chicken plate for my two kids (they shared) and a garlic chicken plate for myself which were both delish as always! Disappointingly, the wait time to get my garlic chicken was about 45 minutes... which I don't think is the norm, but sadly that happened. They used to give a couple more pieces of chicken per plate but with the increase of costs of supplies, I think it's understandable that it's more of a "normal" size now (which is still 4 giant pieces of chicken). Highly recommended but if you know what you want call it in ahead of time. 👍

Fried chicken. So much food. A half portion menu item would be good. The coating was little sickening I felt but tasty children.

Ordered via Uber eats. Order is clearly written on the container and they still manage to mess it up. No phone number listed to give them a call. Extremely disappointed.

The staff are so friendly! We had a great conversation while we waited for the food. The fried chicken was so crispy and juicy. The furikake chicken was sooo effing good but the star of the show for me was the Mac salad!!! We have had plates lunches all over the island but their Mac salad is the star of the show!! Highly highly recommend you get an extra side of it because wow!

Everything was sooo ONOLICIOUS !! Ordered fried chicken plate with green beans and hubby ordered kal- bi ribs plate with their signature plantation- days Mac salad !! Bought cornflake cookies and they were so Ono too !! The young girls were so friendly and full of personality too ‼️ MAHALO KJ’S for staying open for us hungry Hawaiians, lol..🤙🏽🤙🏽

Shame on whoever cooked this miso salmon. You knew the sauce burned and would make this inedible. SHAME. ON. YOU. The cook should pay my sister back bc it is shame to take someone's hard earned money and give out burned food. Insult to injury, there's barely miso flavor! Go mcdonalds ppl, at least you know what you're getting.

Furikake Chicken Plate with Mac salad is ono! Rice is nice and fresh, not too hard, not too mushy. The mac salad is my favorite with the noodles and tuna mixed. The furikake taste good quality, chicken is nice and tender and crispy, not too much breading. good! I just wish had some fresh vegetables like salad plate would be nice!

I usually eat two plates when I'm here not all in one sitting, but definitely by the end of the nite there kalua pork plate. Two piece side of fried chicken as well as the piece of resistance FURIKAKE CHICKEN PLATE. You can take that to the bank.

Extra chrispy fried chicken. Wait times can be long. There is no dinning room to its all take out only. This is just plain fried chicken so get sauce if you want to dip it in anything.

Absolutely stunning food! I came here with my wife and baby boy! We read about it online and wanted to try it for ourselves! The Furikake chicken was out of this world and left us wanting more!! Will 100% be eating here again!

youtuber Sean highly recommended this place. i didn’t get to try everything but judging on who comes here, mostly locals, i knew the food is good. tried their furikake chicken and was ono great portion too. not sure if i actually like their twist on mac salad. but to each their own i guess highly recommend. it just kinda out of the way if you’re staying in waikiki

Typical divey plate lunch spot. Famous for fried chicken and furikake chicken however the fried chicken thighs are better when fresh. Fried chicken plate comes with 4 thighs, good deal. Their twist on Mac salad is made with spaghetti pasta and tastes good, it's different from your typical Mac salad. Prices and portions are good.
