Samanar hills and this are conjoined places... there's a temple down. Jain cave and sculptures are big in size here and you can find shadow to rest here... There'll be smell of bats inside this cave and be careful with those... You can visit this place during morning or afternoon hours and have chit chat.

Best place to walk and spend time. Cave is less impressive for me. There is a temple below him with lake, which is relaxing place. Location is very good. Away from crowded madurai city. Which makes it more interesting and tempting to visit.

An old spot worth a visit. A sign giving all the details of important at the front of the ayyanar temple would be better for the few visitors who venture to come over here

πŸ‘‰Great picnic spot in madurai now. One of the olden caves where jain monks and saints lived. The top spot of the hill is where those saints are killed by some other religious people as said.

It is an open hillock with few accessible caves...the place is safe to be visited in daylight... A small climb gives a beautiful view of villages and a lotus pond at the foot of this site.. A small traditional temple is adjacent to the pond... No food items is sold here... it's a very peaceful place for small one-day picnics!
