Recently had a great experience at Chola heritage. The property is located at the perfect location. It's neither too busy, not too quiet. The property is large and gives an authentic chettinad vibe. Got ample space to hang out with friends and kids. Rooms are neat with well-designed washrooms and air conditioning. They also provide complimentary breakfast. Special mention to Sathya who went out of her way to make us comfortable. If you're looking for a family friendly place to stay and explore karaikudi, Chola Heritage is your place. Would definitely recommend. 10/10.

Nice boutique hotel but for the noise. Very close to the railway track and also amplified loud music from the next door wedding hall. Kind of a nuisance. But well maintained and several artefacts placed at several places in the campus make you feel great.

We stayed on 30-04-2022 in Delux room. Stay is decent in small room. Hotel exterior,Parking and breakfast is good.I wanted to stay in a heritage hotel seeing delux room image I booked it ,but was totally felt betrayed when I saw delux room image while booking and room we got was totally different.When asked they told those rooms are limited, you have to stay in this room only. We enjoyed two hours mosquito hunting around 12 am which was very much memmorable ( so much mosquito at hot summer maybe since property is next to railway track I don't know).To show heritage and charge extra Rs 900 there was only 2 tables kept other wise room was worth not more than Rs 1600 normal AC room.My suggestion is, better avoid this ordinary duplicate building, not worth money if you want to stay in proper heritage chettinadu hotel. Good Breakfast, parking, exterior and helpful night staff.Missing is heritage in stay. It is decent ( 4 star) stay but giving only 1 because I payed for stay in heritage which was missing in that copycat new building ( so 1 star) Reply to hotel comment : Wondering how they are manipulating things again even for my review.I clearly mentioned I booked seeing Delux room image in Goibibo app.( My review is also there in goibibo, anyone can spot difference in photo I uploaded and room image they will show while selecting Delux room ).I didn't ask for suit room I only asked for the room which I pre - booked with full payment in advance, where was the cot with wood work, where is the lamps near the bed, where is mirror with artwork etc not tub, not dining room and all ( so silly coverup). For that you said you had given that room to others and now only this ordinary room is available and you tried to sell suite room. .And Yes room should be like or similar to what I pre-payed and booked online 2 weeks before because I payed for that not for downgraded room. And I believe it is not an authentic heritage old building it is new replica. And I admit it was my mistake to mis interpret it as a heritage building ( I wish I have checked all review comments before booking) but not giving what customer pre booked with full payment and worrying about business is not professional. My review is only to help people who looks for authentic heritage property.No hard feelings.

Stayed there for 3days and i should say that the complimentary breakfast was simple, healthy and delicious.. They had kuzhi paniyaaram, kavuni arisi porridge, ragi adai etc.. Really healthy options, hv limited number of rooms so the care amd service is really good. Ms. Shanti from the reception and Mr. Ilanchezhiyan were awesome in guiding amd serving us.. A good calm property with all amenities and humble pplto serve the guests.

Good place to stay. The rooms were clean. Kids enjoyed the mini pool in suite. The breakfast spread was good with local delicacies. The lunch and dinner menu can be improved though. The options in veg were limited.

The rooms are overrated and especially the new rooms are very off. The plugpoints had a loose connection, we couldn’t charge our phones at all and there was an earthworm in the restroom. There were no hangers and no cupboards even if we have ask for extra bed sheet, it takes so much time for them to get it. The rooms are closer to the railway track which is very annoying as you can’t sleep at night. There is constant honk at night from different trains. The property is very far from the chettinad experiences, it’s better to stay closer and not choose this property.

Rooms very small. No closet/s for clothes. Pathetic, poorly maintained, smelly washrooms. Upper floor not suited for elders to climb via the narrow, spiralstairway. Not wheelchair friendly. Restaurant food cold.

Found Very Expensive. They offered kind of Dormitory for 2 people inside the room seen sizable Lizard roaming. The location is very near to Railway Track night time its too noise. BreakFast seems to be ok but not so great for the prize Rs 3500.

This is a terrible hotel and must be avoided at all costs. The owner expects people to pay top tariffs, but provides the most amateurish service and facilities. Rooms don’t have windows. What they call a “suite” is a barebones structure with no basic amenities, not even a place to keep our clothes and bags! What a scam! Breakfast is the most amateurish spread, same tasteless fare repeated day after day.

Contacted the place few weeks back to book a stay for 2 days. I saw the price in the internet and thought it be affordable stay in karaikudi. They said rather than booking online directly book with us. I was ok with that and asked for the rate. They confirmed 4.2K. I asked whether it was for 2 days. They said yes and I went to the extent of paying the advance.suddenly they said it's 4.2K per night and when enquired why they were wrong,they were very rude. They replied with anger as of I was on the wrong side and cut the call while speaking.

We had come to Karaikudi for a Reception and stayed at Chola Heritage only from 7am to 9pm. The service was commendable. The staffs there are very kind. There was an array of breakfast available from 8am.. one thing that I liked was they waited when each family comes down and then prepare for us hot dosas and ragi roti...To speak about the hygiene and ambience, it is top-notch... A must try when in Karaikudi. Few mins away from Karaikudi Railway Junction..

We were here for two nights. The place is well maintained. Though the name is "heritage", it is a newly built property with heritage aesthetics. No complaints there for the price. The room was spacious, clean. The surrounding area is big enough for kids to roam around. The staff were friendly. The breakfast spread was good. Taste and quantity was sufficient. The only con and the reason for not giving a 5 star rating : dinner . The dinner was not upto the mark . The chappathis were dried up, the gravy was not that great. The dinner could be improved

The place is amazing. The staff were friendly and honest and accomodating. The environment makes you feel like you've left urban life to recharge, peaceful and serene with little feathered friends on the compound living peacefully.

Will never go back again. Waste of money. Stayed in Room # 104 and here is the big list of problems. Washroom have a leaking commode and smells horrible. Hand shower was leaking Washroom door lock don't lock properly Room door lock also is not aligned. Fan keeps giving sound once in a while. No proper information given by the reception aswell. When asked for Dinner availability at 8:00 P.M, we were told it had to be pre booked, this strange rule was also not communicated to us. Security sits just for name sake. Guests park their cars in zig zag leaving no space to park cars. When asked neither security nor reception bothered. On hearing all the complaints, reception guy gave a weird look and he is helpless as its night time...

Posted for a day in Feb 2023. No complaints.excellent in terms of cleanliness, service aesthetic etc. The bf was out of the world, especially the karupu kavini arisi kunji. The boy who prepared it Cholan even gave away the recipe. Staff are well trained and polite. Cholan was very helpful with guiding us on how to plan our trip. Rooms are aesthetic and very well kept. Value for money

Suitable for family stay. Excellent interior design. Rooms are spacious..Relaxing environment.. healthy breakfast.. kulipaniyaram and coconut puttu my favourite.. staff are very friendly and helpful.. cleanliness very good... highly recommended for family stay..

This place has normal room which is same as other places but royal room makes it stand outside of all. Never expected a complementary breakfast being rich, sticking to our cultural roots bringing back the kitchen of ancestors.

One of the worst service and response from manager and owner. We booked three days advance and paid advance payment on booking time. But once reach to hotel they said no room and wait till any room check out. My humble request to all don't book this Chola Haritage - Karaikudi

Had a good stay in Chola heritage. Authentic and healthy food as well tasty. Well cleaned room and happy atmosphere. Would suggest staying here. Nice vibe 😀

What a beautiful, beautiful place!😍😍😍Really wish we had more time to enjoy there. We had a tight schedule so we could do justice to this place. Would highly recommend it. The staff a such sweet hearts. They made sure that we weee taken care of very well. The rooms, the way it was decorated, the comfort, the cleanliness were all excellent. Loved all the goodies they had for us in the room. The welcome drink of ‘Goli soda’ is not to be missed. Loved their idea of stainless steel ‘Dawara tumbler’ in the room. The Ellu/sesame and peanut chikki, the ‘Sukku kaapj’ in the room were all refreshing. The garden filled w medicinal herbs w was beautiful so is the breakfast eating spot outside. There is also a cute duck family residing there. It’s next to train track but that didn’t bother us. We love trains so we were ok with it. Can’t wait to go back.

Their food is trash in the name of chettinad cuisine. It’s meant for rich American tourists. I don’t know how are corn cutlets part of South Indian cuisine.

Rooms are good No Restaurant No proper service Morning Breakfast not worthy and when we visited at 8.45am items we not ready Reg. Breakfast don't expect much.

We stayed in a suite room - found the place very expensive for the price. The entire has a very made up look trying to imitate the chettinad architecture. Though the room has a kettle, they don’t have enough refills of coffee and no sugar provided. The room rates were inclusive of breakfast but the breakfast that was served was cold and not enough for the guests. Poor service overall. Suggest booking elsewhere when visiting Karaikudi and if you are looking for some authentic chettinad experience.

Excellent stay. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Morning breakfast was amazing. Staffs so kind and caring. Stayed with my wife and son and both enjoyed the stay. Amazing place to visit.

It's not a heritage building, has been newly constructed. Stayed in heritage suite,which was spacious.Breakfast was simple south Indian food. For lunch and dinner we need to pre-order otherwise can order from swiggy or Zomato

Memorable and happy stay! Lovely service from care taker Elanchezhiyan. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget friendly stay with good hospitality.

Very good rooms, nicely maintained. Breakfast was great. Best option for families who visits karaikudi/ chettinadu.

When we stayed there no Wi-Fi, Intercom was working, breakfast starts only by 8:30am. That to slowly one dish by one dish they were keeping in the buffet. Night dinner they told it’s Pre order. Give your order by 4:30pm. When I called one of the boy’s to order he is telling it’s late you should order by afternoon itself.

Rooms are good enough. Parking is good. Staffs are very humble. Breakfast was nice it is vegetarian. Place is near railway station, easily accessible. For lunch and dinner you need to pre-order since it's freshly prepared. Otherwise you need to order via swiggy or Zomato. Outside restaurant closes by 8.00 so you need to plan accordingly. Coffee, milk and snacks are serviced in room without extra charges. No lift presently. It's a heritage building maintained well and neat. Overall good stay.

Just awesome... People who come to Karaikudi definitely should stay at this hotel. Structued like our ancient proper architecture. Facilities are equal to 5 star hotel. Complimentary breakfast are awesome.

I went heritage with some expectation...But its not meet with my expectation...Its a simple resort.good for family stay... Actual purpose to visit there is for my post wedding photoshoot..There is some kind of location to take snap...But not a superb...Its good but not super... Food avaerage... Dinner not arranged. Other wise Service good.. Good acomidation for family. Comparatively madurai heritage vs karaikudi chola heritage. 10 = 5 Anyway its my experience....

It was not a heritage building, it is only a theme, and so was disappointing but otherwise good experience. Ok looking rooms, comfy bed,. Good hot water was also there. All items at breakfast was tasty. Three ducks and a rabbit are also there.
