Impressed!
Clean,
expansive
property
-
lots
of
greens,
well
maintained,
with
at
least
one
temple
on
the
premises,
great
views
(when
the
weather
cooperates).
Rooms
are
standard
modern
decor
and
well
maintained.
Beds
are
fantastic
-
no
back
pain!
View
from
the
room
will
depend
on
the
room.
We
were
spread
across
a
suite
and
2
deluxe
rooms,
and
each
of
our
rooms
were
up
to
spec.
The
property
large
and
somewhat
far
from
town,
so
we
focused
on
food
available
in
the
restaurant
on
premises.
Nepali
dishes
need
a
2-hour
notice.
We
ordered
the
chicken
(Kukda
moola
ko
jhol)
and
the
mutton
(Gundruk
khasi
ko
jhol).
Both
were
flavorful,
prepared
from
scratch
(as
opposed
to
pre-made
gravies),
and
delicious
with
some
hot
tandoori
rotis.
Breakfast
options
were
elaborate
compared
to
the
usual
Holiday
Inn
/
Marriott
/
Hilton
options
-
including
a
cold
section
(breads,
cakes,
baked
goods)
and
a
hot
section
(idli,
vada,
bhatura,
upma,
etc).
Kids
and
adults
enjoyed
equally.
The
menu
changed
on
each
of
the
days
we
were
here.
Basic
entertainment
in
the
events
in
the
activity
center
made
the
evenings
fun
and
relaxing.
Good
honest
effort
from
the
staff
in
engaging
the
audience.
If
I
was
impressed
before,
I
am
super
impressed
after
visiting
Darjeeling
Mall
area
and
looking
at
the
accommodations
there.
I
would
stay
at
Allita
any
day
over
the
ones
in
Darjeeling!
I
expect
a
trip
to
the
Himalayas
to
be
about
nature,
rest
and
recovery,
not
a
chaotic
mess
of
crowded
shoppers.
