Albion
Heritage
House
Kurseong
Review
:
A
Home
Away
from
Home
I
really
don’t
know
where
to
begin,
Albion
Heritage
House
is
one
place
which
will
remain
etched
in
my
mind
forever
as
a
happy
memory.
The
sprawling
heritage
cottage
on
Hill
Kart
Road,
Kurseong
is
simply
out
of
an
Anjan
Dutt
classic
movie.
There
is
beautiful
greenery
all
around,
Buddhist
prayer
flags
fluttering
in
the
breeze
and
the
mesmerizing
silence.
The
Albion
Heritage
House
lived
up
to
its
reputation
of
being
a
fine
comfortable
home
stay.
The
view
of
the
ice
capped
KunchanJunga
from
the
terrace
garden
is
gorgeous.
The
added
bonus
was
an
old-fashioned
fire
place
in
the
hall
which
was
lit
every
evening
and
gave
us
an
old-world
Royal
Feeling.
The
beautiful
heritage
house
has
been
done
up
tastefully
with
antique
fittings
and
furniture.
All
the
rooms
were
spacious,
the
beds
were
super
comfy
and
clean,
the
bathroom
had
nice
fixtures,
plush
towels
and
top
of
the
line
flooring.
We
had
breakfasts,
lunch
and
dinner
there
and
the
menu
for
both
had
a
great
selection
and
the
prices
were
very
reasonable.
Upon
arrival,
we
were
warmly
welcomed
by
the
gracious
friendly
caretaker
Pitambar,
who
was
extremely
friendly
and
took
good
care
of
us.
The
helper
Naresh
was
very
competent
and
ever
eager
to
do
our
bidding.
Lastly,
the
cook
Ayush
became
our
favourite
because
of
his
delectable
momos,
chicken
Lollypops
and
Soups.
I
can
bet
that
the
overall
service,
ambience,
food
and
hospitality
can't
be
found
in
any
5-star
hotel.
All
respect
to
Mr
Saurav
Settt
&
his
team
who
went
above
and
beyond
to
make
this
a
comfortable
stay.
A
true
sample
of
excellent
hospitality!
A
must
visit
for
all.
