A must visit place when you are in Darjeeling. A great concept and ambiance. Away from the busy town this is a place to relax and enjoy a pot of good tea with snacks. It is expensive no doubt. Awesome scenic beauty all around amidst lush green tea garden. The memories will last forever. Margaret's Deck is one of the most popular restaurants in Darjeeling or say Kurseong. Its name needs no introduction. Whoever travels to this part of the world has to be here for sure. It is very famous and is on everyone's to-do list. You can say it is a symbolic restaurant.

This is a wonderful place. Must visit it if your on your way to Darjeeling or are staying in Kurseong. A variety of teas are available here and they all taste amazing. Different types of cakes and sandwiches are available. The food tastes great. The decor and ambience is very good. The service is fast and the staff is courteous and helpful. The price of items is slightly on the higher side. One can get an amazing view of the mountains while sipping on a beverage. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available.

A must visit for any tea connoisseur. Location, ambience, clientele, service, and beyond all - the wide variety of tea options! We were a party of 9 - which allowed us more room to play around. We went for 6 different teas in 2-cup orders to make it like a mini tasting menu within our group. The menu is mind bogglingly huge given it’s just about tea, and the staff is eager to help with options. They were out on several that we wanted to try, which somewhat helped in narrowing down our order. We started with a white tea as it is the lightest. Followed by a first flush, then a second flush / autumnal, then a muscatel. We rounded off with flavored teas - the rose and finally the chamomile. Once you get to the stronger flavors it is difficult to enjoy the lighter ones, so we went up the strength / flavor gradient. Every one of our orders were super impressive. The folks here have, predictably, mastered the art of perfectly balancing tea portions - and know exactly how much of the leaves to use for which variety. They can also do a smell test of the pot and tell you which tea is in it, which we leveraged multiple times as we kept forgetting which one was which. The ambience is spectacular - one of the best views I’ve seen, giving the Kodak viewpoints a run for their fame. If the weather permits sit on the open-air deck and savor in the beauty of the Himalayan landscape when you slowly sink into a tea sipping nirvana. My only complaint is that they do not take cards (including contactless) - it’s GPay or cash only, at least when we went. They had a limited selection of baked goods that kept the kids in our group happy.

The scenic beauty is mind-blowing for this cafe and for thisnreason, it has been added into the travel itenary of Kurseong. Just sit outside and look over the tea garden. It will surely be hell of a experience . The foods taste moderate. But their collection of Darjeeling tea is very vivid. The cafe is owned by Goodpricke tea garden. So, a retail shop is also present inside the cafe. But the minimum quantity is 100gms and the Darjeeling tea prices starts from 8000rupees/kg.

An incredible place with an alluring location, delicious food, flavorful and aromatic Darjeeling tea, well-behaved staff, and a serene panoramic view of the valley – it's hard to believe that a single place can have so many unique selling points. Even if you're not hungry, visiting this Tea Lounge cum Café is a must for the experience alone. We decided to take a brunch break here, and we absolutely loved the entire experience. While the prices are premium, considering the location and quality, they are not unreasonable. We tried the chicken sandwiches, Hungarian sausages, and Darjeeling tea, and everything was delightful. However, it's worth noting that the service can be a bit slow at times.

This was another highlight of our recent Darjeeling trip. Much hyped up but for good reason which we realised only after visiting. The restaurant juts out to the valley and clouds literally float in. Standing in the balcony you get a 360° view of the valley below. The decor, atmosphere and food is Victorian. It might seem a bit expensive for the regular traveller but the experience is too good to give it a miss. Do visit.

The cafe is located at an amazing location overlooking the whole valley of tea garden. The property is well maintained and food is tasty. Cons - 1. Menu is limited. 2. Parking space very less. 3. Staff are slightly late in attending the customers.

For all genuine Darjeeling tea lovers and admirers of beauty, this should be a must stop destination. Built overlooking the tea garden, the cafe offers breathtaking panoramic views of the tea gardens below. The place is right on the road connecting kurseong and darjeeling, so it's difficult to miss. The place offers excellent choices of tea which are served hot and in the appropriate style of sipping the world's best quality tea. Snacks accompanied are good, cant say great. The food is slightly on the higher side. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. We preferred outdoor seating to enjoy the tea while being amidst the clouds, literally, since it was misty the day we went. Must visit and recommended place. The place also offers tea to be bought and taken back home. They is also a small history of the place, if you have the time to go through the walls and holding artifacts

The place is okay. The view from the deck is also good. But the food is very expensive. Quality of the food is average. Staffs are not courteous enough. The packet tea that they are selling at their counter are much cheaper at Amazon. Its better buy from there.

Beautiful tea lounge en route through Darjeeling to teenchulay. You can see a mesmerizing view of the tea garden lying below, being kissed by scattering rays of the sun playing through layers of clouds. Colourful hydrangeas adorn the deck that overlooks green hillocks. The lounge itself is picturesque with tea related decoration and history of the place inscribed beautifully on its walls. Relics related to the tea garden were used for decor and the tea itself was first class.

I stopped here on the way from Bagdogra airport to Darjeeling, the spot was nice at approximately 5000 ft above sea level. We had second flush white tea and enjoyed the nature.

Margaret's Tea Lounge is in NH 55 , situated just near the Tung Station. This place is infact a visual treat with its scenery , surrounding slopes of tea gardens, lush green hills & hot tea. I suggest everyone visiting Darjeeling make a stop at Margaret's Deck Tea Lounge. They have a wide range of cookies, Brownies, English scones etc to select from. You can select a wide variety of tea. Must visit.

It was a super lovely, and a very wonderful feeling to be here. This cafe/lounge conveys the story of tea all around the world, details about tea plucking & processing, and how margaret's deck came into being and why it was formed. It comprises of really attractive sitting arrangements and a splendid viewpoint to offer. I would suggest tourists to make booking arrangements before arriving to confirm there place in the lounge since a lot of people love to halt here therefore they run out of seating. To make sure you spend a great time book online or through phone. Definitely visit the place.

This place has one of the most breathtaking views. Situated on the way to Darjeeling from Siliguri, the place is a very well known destination. The food and tea served are pretty expensive but the astounding view compensates for this. Do make it a point to stop by and spend some time to relish the view I've some snacks.

Margaret’s Deck is a tea lounge associated with Goodricke Group, a well-known tea producer. The lounge offers a variety of tea experiences, allowing us to savor different blends. We went at the opening time of 8 AM and got a seat with no wait time. This lounge provides a cozy environment for tea enthusiasts to enjoy a cup of tea and scenic views, especially in a tea-rich region like Darjeeling.

I would have been pretty disappointed with this place if we didn't arrive just before sunset. I must say I was overwhelmed by the view of sun setting in the distant valley overlooking Margaret's Deck. It was amazing. Food and tea were pretty ordinary quality and quantity wise

The cafe has new-age vibes but with a rustic old-world charm. The views from the cafe are beautiful & perfect while sipping a cup of tea with a piece of their famous carrot cake. The food items on the menu is limited, but the veg items in the menu is awesome. Also before ordering your tea, you should confer with their knowledgeable waiters to know the various stages of tea namely autumn flush, second flush, first flush & white tea. The price range is affordable and there are two sitting areas (One inside a glass house and one outside where you can enjoy food with nature). The staffs are knowledgeable and they know what hospitality calls for. If you are traveling to Darjeeling through Kurseong Road, then don't forget to stop at this beautiful cafe & have a sip of tea.

It’s a must visit place while going to Darjeeling via Kurseong if you are a tea lover. The main attraction of the place is for its hanging lounge and the view. You can spend hours together to enjoy the nature while sipping a cup of tea. Food option is not that great.

I was visiting Darjeeling this April, after many many years. I chose the Rohini-Kalimpong road. This is the shortest road to Darjeeling. From Google I found out that midway to Darjeeling we have a nice place to do pittstop and that place is Margaret’s Deck Tea Lounge. This is essentially a Cafe/Restaurant, and it's located just after Kurseong city on the NH-55 highway . Before going to this place , I already read many reviews online about this place , and all the reviews highly praised this place. This place is situated on a hillside , overlooking the green valley . Once I entered the restaurant , I found a Tea exhibition area. Once I went further ahead, I found the Cafe/Restaurant. The restaurant had a long Deck on the front, and on the side. The side deck has tables and sitting areas, but the front deck is only for enjoying the amazing view with a cup of steaming Darjeeling tea. The larger sitting area is inside the restaurant . We got a place inside the restaurant . Outside deck was chilly and windy . The menu is divided into two parts. One part is an exclusive tea menu, and the other part is the food menu . Without taking any risk we ordered the dishes which the waiter suggested. A Soup, a Non-Veg salad and pasta . Ended the meal with Darjeeling black tea. Food tasted great , and obviously the tea was amazing. We had our tea standing on the deck , and it was an incredible experience. This is a kind of place where you should not come only for eating. You should spend more time having different kinds of tea and relishing the weather, View and surroundings. This is a fine dining restaurant, so obviously the pocket pinch is a bit high , but I think that's fine. The place is aesthetically designed like English cafes , and also importance is given to the Himalayan culture and India style cafe elements in the design of the whole property . . The whole place is very clean and well maintained . There is a handwash and washroom section near the Tea Exhibition area. There are separate washrooms for males and females, which were very clean . There is a car parking area beside this place. Most important point we should consider is that this place is always heavily crowded with tourists. We should be patient once we are at this place. It may take some time to get a table. I got only an hour to spend here, but I would really like to come back to this place and spend several hours.

A scenic tea lounge on the way to Darjeeling offering magnificent view of tea garden and great snack & tea experience. But the prices are bit high. One can enjoy food with a great view from the balcony. Staffs are very polite and co-operative. Visit YouTube channel "Travel Freak Oindrila" for detailed information about this property.

It's the perfect place to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a moment of solitude with a cup of tea. Moreover, the service at Margaret's Tea Deck is impeccable. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the art of tea service. They take the time to explain the nuances of each tea and provide personalized recommendations based on individual preferences. Their genuine passion for creating a memorable experience for each customer shines through, making you feel like a valued guest from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. The exceptional tea selection, delicious snacks, and the enchanting ambiance all come together to create an unforgettable tea experience. Whether you're a tea aficionado or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place to be. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of the teas and treats they have to offer.
