Very nice museum to go to. The massive train model I believe is the biggest at least in New York state. They have a scavenger hunt to find certain things on the models and within the room. Most of my pictures are of just the trains but along the sides of the room is tons of memorabilia from fireman items to old oil lamps. You could spend hours looking and find something new. When I was there we took the train for a ride. It goes over a gorgeous bridge over the Erie canal. All the staff were very polite and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going there for a visit. I didn't post the train that you ride on so you will have to find out for yourself 🙂

Stunning!! Never imagined they would have such an incredibly huge HO scale model railroad layout in here, I've seen large layouts before but never this big. And all around the rooms, from floor-to-ceiling, all of the different displays that are grouped by theme... There was something for everyone. A lot of railroad / firefighter/military items on display. Staff were incredible

A LOT of stuff here. I feel like this museum could be culled by a knowledgeable curator to make it more educational overall. It is too much to take in and seems to have an identity crisis. Is it a rail museum? If so why the abundance of cars and telephones and various household kitchen goods? A strong editorial hand is needed to bring this place to the next level. Right now it's like visiting someone's aunt's attic clean out. Choose a focus and stick with it. Terrific model train set is the deserved centerpiece but the exhibits along the walls are overwhelmed by too much stuff. An example: luggage from the railroad travel era - great - but one strong exhibit would be enough. Another example: lanterns for the signalman a smaller selection of color and a few styles would suffice along with a short explanation of what would be used when and where. Just because someone donated an item does not mean it needs to be displayed. One could actually learn a lot from things this museum holds if the presentation were more coherent and CONCISE.

The overall experience was great for the price. The museum has an extensive miniature display worth seeing. My 3 year old son enjoyed it. The Polar Express train ride was enjoyable as well since we watched the movie before the train ride at home and this made the experience more special. The music, story being read aloud and the picture book being shown during the reading helped us remember the parts in the movie. When Santa came by he interacted with the kids as well as the staff. Overall putting everything together, it was worth the money.

Had a wonderful time going on the Polar Express ride. The staff was amazing. You received a hot chocolate and a delicious cookie. Santa came through giving the kids their Christmas bells. Seeing their little faces light up was so wholesome. Great experience! 👍

The museum was a great experience! The train ride was okay. The music and announcer were kind of low so it was hard to hear the songs or anything throughout the ride. You heard the guests more than anything. They advertised several vendors on site but there was only one who ran out of items every 10 minutes until there was no food left. I advise you to eat before you show up. However, the cocoa was cool, the cookie was AMAZING!!! The staff were sweet but I expected way more dancing. Santa is a cool dude! The young one's will love it and that's really what it's intended for. Overall, still glad I experienced it.

Great place to take your toddlers and small children on the weekends. Recommend getting a yearly membership and visiting in the winter when you need an indoor activity.for a few hours.

Took an enjoyable fall ride to Lockport through lands & urban neighborhoods. Really enjoyed crossing the Lockport bridge. Cool train museum with alot of attention to details on the Diorama and vintage items. Bathrooms were very clean. Not much there to really eat, just a couple snacks to buy. But that doesnt take away from the experience of a nice train ride :) Enjoy! Life is Beautiful

The most amazing train set I've ever seen. It takes up the whole building. Absolutely huge. The attention to detail is incredible. Must've took many years to complete. The antique train memorabilia is very interesting, also. There's a couple of old diesel engines sitting there from the 40s or early 50s. I wish they were open to walk through.

👍👍 This place is one of the most magical places on earth, and it's only 40 minutes from my house. It's a must stop for the holiday season. We got a picture with Santa. He was absolutely wonderful and kind. For seeing so many people, he was still cheerful and gave such a jolly smile for our picture....

👍👍 The Medina square is such a cool place to go to just to relax or go to some of the events that’s are held there. They have music, farmers markets, and many other small events. We always go there when we are in town visiting family to play PokemonGo. Yes it is a great spot for that! Many gyms and eve...
