I have always loved Etosha. It is really one of the best wildlife destinations, but it's just a pity that hardly no maintenance gets done in Etosha. The roads are in a very bad state and the camps and ablutions are not in a good condition. I also don't understand why they need rude and unwelcoming police personnel at the gates. At least put people there who are trained and understand the value of tourism.

Very nice wild experience ! You can see many animals very easily. The road and the landscape are amazing. There is very beautiful lodge and camping area inside the parc. More than hundred years old…

Amazing park with amazing animals. Wonderful sights and weather. Very sad that the maintenance of the park has completely deteriorated. Roads and park facilities (toilets) are in a very bad condition. Only exception is Okaukuejo which is a good condition.

You won't find a better place to see wildlife in it's rawest form. We'd travel for hours without seeing other tourists. Totally recommend for anybody wanting a real experience

This is the absolute dream. Register at the gate and then explore the park. This can also be done on your own, but please follow the park rules. There are good maps and tips so you can explore incredible wildlife.

By far the most wild and well guarded national park I have done. Many species Try to spend minimum 1 full day and a half, better would be 3 full days. The park is huge and it take time to spot animals in the different parts of the park. Be patient, be silent, and respectful, nature give you what it wants.

Pretty national park. Easy to spot wildlife. The price/quality range of the lodges within the park is not that great...

Brilliant time seeing the animals. The maintenance of the accommodation at Okaukuejo can be better. There were silly things like loose door handles, taps, etc.

Beautiful place, we saw loads of animals elephants, lions, girrafes and rhinos. They have water holes, lighted at night so camp visitors can observe animals from distance. I'm so glad conservation efforts help with black rhinos. I visited during the dry season, and the plains looked rocky and dusty. Trees were mostly dead and grass was gone- feel like animals don't have enough nutrition. I really hope more care is going to be taken due to climate change and destruction of natural habitat for these beautiful animals.

We finally visited the pearl of Namibia)) Etosha Park! a great place to relax and see various animals))) The park is very large and diverse in nature! it is best to visit it for several days. you can plan and compile the route yourself, because you are driving alone and in your own car! you have to be careful in rainy weather, because the potholes on the road are very big and when they are filled with water, you can't see them so well! !!! it is difficult to say whether the car will turn over, but the impression of danger is present)) The park is wonderful, you can say that this is Namibia in miniature))) well, except without the canyon))

We had great luck seeing animals here! We saw lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, kudus etc etc The camp site was clean with lots of bathrooms. Although it can get noisy here since they have so many visitors.

Big on animals. Spent only four days at the park at two different camps. The facilities at the camps and picnic spots however lacked on hygiene with broken and overflowing toilets. Aircons not working at bar and restaurants while it was 37 degrees Celsius. Barmen had very little expience about how to make some drinks on their menu. Plenty of animals seen but only one elephant in four days. The animals was in good condition and not bewildered by our presence. Be aware that some animals gained entrance to camps. We had a fox at our camp during the night.

Incredible experience - saw so many animals and really enjoyed my time there. The campsite in particular was really set up, with a viewing platform that allowed watching of animals around a water hole at night.

National Park in Namibia where you can go on safari driving your own vehicle. Organized park and full of animals. I visited 2 times and we saw almost everything... Zebras, Elephants, Orix, Lions, rhino, wildebeest, jackals, Giraffes and the last time we got to see a Leopard in full action. Fantastic experience, highIy recommended.

Amazing place with loads of animals roaming free, self drive available in park, make sure you book your accommodation. Some of the roads are not the best and can take longer to get places than anticipated. Rhino, elephant, big cats. Tours available via lodges. Great place to visit if looking for wildlife

Really enjoyed being up close to observe the various wild animals like giraffes, gazelles, wildebeest, rhinoceros and even ostrich. It wasn't as if the animals were just waiting there to be seen; it required cruising around for hours in search for them. Went to a water hole in the evening and was able to see giraffes and rhino coming to drink. Kool

A vast park that you can spend the day driving through. We saw more animals (quantity wise) but not a massive range of species which was somewhat disappointing. We saw a wider variety of animals up close at other places on our trip. I would recommend taking your own food and be prepared to drive to the camp ground towns to go to the toilet as some of the toilets on the map out of the towns dont exist or are unusable. We saw Elephants, Giraffes, Black-backed Jackel, Ostrich, Zebras, Oryx, Spotted hyenas, Black faced Impala, Blue Wildebeest, Springbok, Greater Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Banded Mongoose, Hornbills, Lapwings etc.

It is one of Africa's most important wildlife sanctuaries and the perfect place to go in search of the "big five". It can be visited at any time of the year, but it is certainly the dry season, from June to November in the austral winter, when you are most likely to see wildlife; the busiest animal activity is usually in the early mornings or late afternoons. Bear in mind that campsites open at dawn and close a little before sunset.

Amazing place to discover wild animals in their real home while respecting their liberty. The possibility to do it with your own car is a blessing, allowing you to share unique moments with your family and friends. Just go, take your time and let Etosha give you a glance of what Mother Earth can offer tou.

It was a unique experience for me to able to enjoy a whole day safari ride in this national park. It was equally an exciting time trying to spot some of the majestic animals (lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, springbok, elephant, ostrich, kudu, gemsbok, oryx, honey badger) I had only seen in National Geographic Channel. The landscape is so different from Bhutan and it was a super hot day but the sweat and heat was worth it! Be mindful of the timing unless you have got yourselves an accommodation in the beautiful lodges inside the park.

One of the most beautiful national parks in Namibia. Unluckily there wasn't as much wildlife as I thought there would be and it's extremely dry here. The campsites are pretty expensive and the staff is rude which is sad, I think this is because the park is a little to much touristic. Anyway worth a visit.

The roads are terrible and the staff in the permit office at Okekeujo are rude. The kiosk has hardly any stock. We had lunch at Halali which was deserted due to do few bookings because of COVID. They didn't have everything on the menu but the food they did make was good and fresh. The waitress was very friendly and so eager to please. All the road signs have been repainted which is great. Many of the water holes have water pumped to them so we saw a lot of animals.

(Translated by Google) Everyone wants to go to Etosha and yes, it's worth it. But you should be aware in advance that the area is huge and the drivable paths are limited. As a result, the distance can be considerable for animal observation and, on the other hand, that you can make a lot of mistakes when planning your time. Sufficient time, patience and planning can turn a visit into a real experience.

(Translated by Google) Good wildlife viewing opportunities. Sparse vegetation. Improvements in logistics are urgently needed. The most important thing: there is a multitude of different animals in the African fauna. Giraffes, elephants, wet horns, lions, leopards, gazelles, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, warthogs etc. In the eastern part of the park there is a much greater variety of animals. The vegetation in the dry season (September) is very sparse. Therefore, although there are good opportunities for observation, there is also less flair than in other national parks. At the water holes you are guaranteed to see animals. The lodges and campgrounds within the park are fully booked. Therefore you have to spontaneously switch to accommodations outside, which are cheaper and in some areas better developed. The stops for rest and toilet indicated on the map were indicated and could not be used. He urgently needs to be improved, otherwise about 100 km no rest can be inserted. (Original) Gute Tierbeobachtungsmöglichkeiten. Karge Vegetation.

(Translated by Google) We rented a 4x4 for several days in Etosha National Park, possibility either to rent a room in a lodge or like us in our tent on the roof, to plan a little early. Freedom in the park regarding the route and the roads to be taken. Do not hesitate to ask other cars where the animals are located, it is very often profitable and it avoids driving for nothing. Also you can stop in the lodges to see the ranger log.

(Translated by Google) If you want to see wild animals - you are here. An excellent park where contact of animals with people is minimized and they remain wild. It is allowed to drive only on the road; you can get out of the car only in specially designated areas. Actually, it is in your best interests, since lions are extremely hard to see in dry grass and they run faster than you))) and there are lions. In order for tourists to still see animals, lakes have been dug not far from the roads, as well as near the hotel. Animals come out of the savannah to drink. And then how lucky. If there was no rain, then the chances of seeing all the representatives of the local fauna increase. Elephants are the hardest to find. Tourists spend days driving around the park in search of elephants. On the second day, zebras and giraffes by the road are already taken for granted)) we were lucky, we found a large group of elephants and even elephants at the watering hole. Inexpressible emotions. Great park. On its territory, you can either stay in a hotel (an expensive pleasure), or rent a place for a car or a tent. Each seat is equipped with an outlet, lantern, table. The shower and toilet are shared, but very, very decent. You can drive through the park either by car or by tourist buses. By car, of course, it is more convenient, since you are not tied to the guide, you can choose the time and route yourself until you see all the animals.

The animals and scenery are awesome. The facilties and staff was unpleasant and the place operates on a poorly communicated "pay as you go" system where we were chased away from a picnic spot because we had to pay extra. None of this was communicated when we paid for our permits. Poor service, expensive prices and poorly maintained facilities left an overall bad taste in one's mouth. Management is ruining a national treasure.

The campsites are complete, have water, electricity, hot water, clean bathrooms, markets, etc. In the park we saw almost everything, lions, giraffes, zebras, antilopes, elephants and all kinds of birds and insects. I advise you to do at least four days of safari, in my case it was an auto safari that went super well I was three days but one more had been great.

Had great lion sighting. Park is very green and the grass is high making sightings more difficult.

(Translated by Google) I recommend !! Great place for watching animals. I like the fact that you can ride in the park on your own and make your own route.

(Translated by Google) The park is huge. You can easily explore it with your own vehicle. It's best to buy a street map and see what you want to see. The paths are easy to drive. A taller car is an advantage. The ways are quite long. We are completely through once. It takes a day for that. The middle is not so worth seeing. Few animals. It was most beautiful in the late afternoon. Wenig Tiere. Am schönsten war es am späten Nachmittag.

Great place to observe animals in their natural environment. Although you don't see them that easy and that many during the rain season, to me this is the best time to visit Etosha N. P. - it's beautifully green, less dusty and with very few tourists.

Nature at its best, this time around it was dry still but the experience is always great. And the Etosha Gondwana camp fire music band is the cherry on top.

We managed to see quite a few animals at the water holes and also throughout the park. The roads, unfortunately, were in a very bad state. Need more maintenance. Also, the only shop where one could buy snacks n stuff, was manned by a woman, having to write down and calculate each and every item purchased! This caused for many unnecessary delays! That’s going back 50 years! Surely they can install a till.

Wow great experience to see this wild life animals in their original environment.... A lot of camps with possibilities to stay in houses or camping sites. Most of them are little bit used up, but ok. what a shame that animals are not able to survive outside because of human beings are not able to coexist with them...

Amazing place to watch the natural life around you. If you're lucky enough, I hope you can see a black rhino, an amazing living fossil!

We had a truly unforgettable experience viewing the animals at this park, elephants, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, oryx, springbok, rhinos, jackals and antelopes!! We only wish we got to see some big cats!

Driving into the Etosha salt pan, the landscape changed dramatically to a blinding white salt pan with several apocalyptic like dust devils spread across the horizon. We were immediately treated to sightings of zebra, springbok, wilderbeast, giraffe and a slumbering lion which had us thinking that was pretty amazing for such a short drive in. However the famous Etosha water hole has multiplied the wow factor several times again. After we checked in at 2.00 pm we wandered the 200 metres down to the water hole and were delighted to see a family of 7 elephants including their babies wallowing and playing in the water. You sit on these seats behind a rock wall and fence with lights trained on the water hole not than 10 metres away . We were congratulating ourselves with beaming smiles and nods of acknowledgement that it can’t get any better than this when a herd of 27 elephants came wandering in for a drink and a wallow. We headed off to dinner at 6.00 pm, scoffed our dinner and were astounded as 17 giraffes wandered in for a drink at the same time whilst a lion roared in the background with grunts, growls and roars that travelled right through you. All of a sudden a rhino appeared to have a drink as well. Shaking our heads in wonder how lucky we were down came the lioness for a drink, scattering the giraffes. Sitting here now at 9.30 pm we have now been treated to 5 rhino’s and a baby rhino coming down for a drink including this giant bull elephant. Heading off to bed now not sure this experience can ever be beaten….
