Had been for lunch on Sunday, nice open air seating area. Food was tasty except for fried rice which lacked salt and was very blend. They had some cool fresh air sprinkled from top every few seconds... Friendly service. Will visit again to try their fish thali.

Went for lunch, Sunday. Pl go early, as queues are seen post 1.15pm. Got a nice seating overlooking the valley, Mandovi river in the distance. The ambiance is non pretentious & relaxing. Drinks: Uraak! (yes, the season's on), & Kokumito mocktail. Both very refreshing. Starters: *Stuffed crabs (3pcs, Rs 500) - super Cheesy Crab meat filling in shells. *Prawn dangar (cutlet) - okay. Found the taste of the besan flour overpowering, masking the prawn taste. Entrée: Chonak fish thali - awesome (a must have, at this restaurant). Ordered a parcel of crab fried rice(Rs 400) - yummy! Service was attentive, ambiance relaxing, food of high standard, prices v reasonable. Met the young Owner couple (Bhonsle family) on the way out, who were humble & open to feedback. Would very highly recommend this Gem of a restaurant (multi cuisine; though Goan cuisine is their speciality) located in Alto Porvorim, near High court.

Great scenery and delicious food, but the service needs improvement. The rustic decor creates a cozy vibe, and the menu has diverse options. Unfortunately, waiters were a bit rude, and the wait time after ordering was longer than expected. With better service, it could be a fantastic dining spot.

#workshopgoa @workshopgoa Location: WORKSHOP RESTAURANT Penha-de-Franca Location and contact. Near High Court Of Bombay, Opp Legislative Assembly Of Goa Alto- Betim Porvorim, Penha-de-Franca,Goa. Which began as a fabrication shop in the 1930's ....with his magical wand transformed it into one of top resturants of Goa by the one and only, Owner cum Chef Nehal Bhosle's. It's autentic goan dishes are the finest...you can call it lip-smacking or finger licking food... Went with my family. Need to thank @Olgabraganza and @ubaldbraganza for suggesting this beautiful place....sitting on the upper deck( floor) you get a breathtaking view of the mandovi river with the ships docked n sailing ....you also get a picturesque view of the mandovi bridge.... Apart from alcohol the dishes we tried were- * Butter garlic fried squids * green salad * spicy corraiander fried chicken ( oriental style) * Murg Matka Kabab ( signature dish) * Cheese Naan The food stimulated our taste buds, with well balanced flavour.. as one could term it as " Foodgasm" ( amazingly 😋 delicious) Desserts: * Kharvas ( Inhouse special) * in-house Kulfi * In-house coconut icecream Tingled n danced on my taste buds. .so flavourful...must commend Chef Nehal for his love and passion for food. The service by Biswajeet was top-notch. Service with a smile and very accomdating. He was very attentive to customers' preferences.... Ample parking space as well We had a wonderful evening and recommend others too...if u in Goa, a visit to the " Workshop" is a must in your bucket list...

Recently I visited the place and I tried Kulukki Sherbet which I liked alot. The best thing was that they have managed to maintain the temperature of the place during summers by adding the water sprays. Also tired Chicken Keema Masala, which i would was not upto the mark. Also tried Prawns Tiepie which was very appetizing, flavourful and the quantity was good for two people to share.

Workshop is an open air restaurant on the first floor which has a water sprinkler on the top to keep the area cool. It is a very good place during this hot weather. River Mandovi is a side scene for people who sit towards the left side after entering. The staff at the Workshop is very helpful. The creativity made me love the food even more. The washroom was clean & decent. A shout out to try the tossed coriander chicken which was so yum & caught my taste buds. The food was yummy except the mussels were not fried properly (it could be because they were fat). Only two were fried properly and the rest were tasting raw. Salt was also less. We loved the mocktails so much that we kept ordering more. The menu consists of a variety of choices in cocktails and cocktails. The rates are also reasonable. We tried most of their mocktails & I am glad we got a chance to visit this place. It's a lovely place to dine with family members.

First of all the atmosphere and vibe of this restaurant is too good, good place to hangout with friends. The way they serve food is also unique and quite impressive but they should also look at quality of food. We ordered chonak fish thali and besides the fish everything was okayish. The french fries were mind blowing though i loved it. Also they have good varieties in non veg than veg. If you're looking for something to have in veg i wouldn't recommend this place

Presentation of the thali was great. The prawns were fresh and crisp and served first followed by prawn curry, rice, cabbage bhaji, kismur, salad and sole kadi. The chicken biryani was perfectly blended with spices and long grain rice, ample number of juicy chicken pieces and raita. Glasses of cool water from the earthen pot completed our surreal experience of enjoying a delicious meal with a great river view. The staff is courteous and super helpful.

Located near the High Court of Bombay, Besides The Atal Setu, with a view of the ever so Beautiful River Mandovi, is Workshop's Porvorim Outlet. We visited Workshop a few days ago for a soul satisfying, lavish dinner. And when I say Satisfying, I mean it! Heading straight to what we tried - • Mango Mule • Pineapple Ginger Mojito Both the drinks were unique and really refreshing. Mango Mule is definitely worth a try. Matka Kebab is Served on Dum, this Matka Kebab was super soft, perfectly cooked and would literally melt in the mouth. Coriander Paneer is again a must try even if you're a pakka non-vegetarian!! A beautiful blend of flavours of coriander, garlic and spices, this paneer dish was a hit! Flaming Prawns Balchão- an authentic Goan Balchão served with a twist. This dish was served along with a portion of fries and a Goan Poie. Chicken Cafreal Biryani Two favourites - Biryani and Cafreal, made into one! A perfect balance of flavours! Kharvas & Coffee Panna cotta for dessert. Workshop has always been one of our most favourite places to drop in for a wholesome Goan Fish Thali. If you're desperately craving for Authentic Goan and unique fusion meals, Workshop is the place to be!

'Maratha mutton thali' at the Workshop restaurant is the new thing in town. This is only available at their Betim outlet. A typical Maharashtrian mutton thali consisting of mutton kheema, mutton sukha, mutton rassa, bhakri, rice and a gulab jamun to finish it all off. The mutton was cooked perfectly- tender and juicy just the way we all like it. Kheema was the standout dish and when combined with those freshly made hot bhakris, it was lip smackingly good. The masala used for sukha could have been a bit spicier but nevertheless was made up for by that kheema. And then there was 'the rassa', a typical Kolhapuri version. I never see why people in Maharashtra love it so much😅 Anyway, before going there do order half an hr in advance so they make everything fresh and ready for you. And if you are not a mutton lover you can always try their amazing Crab thali or fish thali (check previous posts for the same). P.s No alcohol served and no cards accepted

Workshop is a brilliant balcony open air restaurant. The food is brilliant especially the fish. Good Ambience and very helpful staff. However, I found the washroom a bit shabby and the parking was full, so I had to park on the road (which I was scared to do coz I was blocking the entry of a High Court)

Traditional ambience with earthen cutlery if youn order fish thalis of kingfish, chanak, modso, pomfret, They also serve alcohol and other drinks.. Chicken biryani was slightly dry compared to other biryanis that we have tried at other places!! Open air and Very much ventilated.. will definitely visit again!

Tried Fish Thali which came across as the Times Food Delivery Icon. The food is authentic goan cuisine no-doubt. Few suggestions for improvement, the quantity of curry served, which is the only curry item on plate and rest all other items are dry, should be sufficient enough to finish the rice served. I was served with cabbage dish and cabbage salad. Didn’t go well. Last, the Gulab Jamun must be homemade and not ready made to add uniqueness to the dish. Or else keep simple Kheer as the sweet. Add a simple chicken xacutti curry bowl in addition to fish curry.

Located next to the Bombay High Court at Goa. The restaurant overlooks the Mandovi. Chonak Thali - 300 Rs Includes: Rice Prawn Curry Rava fried chonak Masala Crab dish Kismoor Salad Gulab Jamun Kokum Regular Prawns Thali - 200rs Prawn Curry Rava fried prawns (2pcs) Kismoor Salad Kokum The restaurant gets full around 1:30 on weekdays and you may have to wait to get seated. Great place for good quality and reasonably-priced thali's.

Good tasty thali option with good ambiance. A bit on the pricey side for the quantity of food provided but the quality is not bad. Alcoholic options are also available. Adequate parking space is available but since the restaurant is on the terrace and is only accessible by stairs and no lift so wheelchair bound patrons will not be able to get here easily.

The place not only has a great eye-soothing ambience to romance your senses but also delicious food. The chicken of the tandoor was tender and supple and all the dishes of our three- course meal were perfect. We, as a family, had a great time.

Been here after hearing a lot of reviews and must say the reviews were true. Located just besides Bombay High Court, this restaurant serves one of the TOP CLASS Goan Cuisine dishes. On my hunt quest to find best fish thali in Goa, This restuarant lives up to the hype and would rate it HIGH in SPECIAL CHONAK FISH THALI.⭐ The unique serving in clay utensils, amazing ambience, great staff and delicious food are some of the highlights of the place. Along with Thali, we also tried the popular dish 'CHICKEN POPCORN' - Definately must try. Edit: Visited this place for the 3rd time, went on to try other fish thali options. I tried Prawns thali this time. Top taste and uniquely fried. Other items were good too. Other thalis were great too. Hope to visit this restaurant again to try out other menu items. Definately recommended!

Atmosphere of this outlet is really amazing and food was also delicious, as we was in group, we order lot of items and all taste amazing, one can enjoy best view of panjim city. only drawback is its slow service, although it was crowded, but it take more than 1/2 hour to serve 1 dish so we have to wait a lot for food. if anyone visiting this place, quickly place your order first .

Ambience is amazing, food great as always, staff is very friendly and helpful, we had our team lunch here, everyone loved the place, they have this water spray system to keep the place cool which works quite well. Over-all experience is lovely

Lovely ambience , great taste. No fish thali was available for dinner time so we opted for chicken starters. We had Apple chicken, manchow soup, egg fried rice and totally loved the taste.

Visited this modern take on restaurant as rest bar. The view is amazing. We ordered the dum pukt tandoor chicken served in a handi. It was over seasoned. The chicken sizzler served with rice was good. My criticism would be a little sweet for my liking. It was served with fries We also ordered chicken fried rice which was loaded with veggie. The quantity was good. My favourite among all was the cheese garlic naan.. filled with cheese it was irresistible. The drinks we ordered were kokum mojito & sweet lime soda.. Overall good experience..
