I had beef putte biriyani & two types of chicken putte biriyani….. among the three i had i loved beef putte biriyani…. It was a different experience. Overall experience was good had a great time while having food & suliamani ofcourse I feel its a must visit place in alapuzha better to visit at night…. Even though its crowded its good Good food vibe & ambiance in a limited area thats puttum kattanum. Very much affordable too… loved it.

Good vibe and good food….the place is crowded still its a good place ….. we had sulaimani which was good in taste and special in looks and putte biriyani beef and chicken was also a good experience …. Beef biriyani was better compared to chicken putte biriyani…. Their timing is also good even late night they are open and there is not much delay in serving food…. I went their like 11.30pm everything was Good but porotta was not up to the mark…but fried rice was awesome…i like the way the owner behaves he is so friendly…and we didn’t wait much for the food…if you r a road traveler and if you pass by this hotel do visit …!!

After seeing all these positive reviews, today I tried dishes from puttum kattanum, i took one beef curry and a plate of beef fry as parcel, while serving mom found this cockroach from beef curry, for informing this I called the mobile number many times which is mentioned in website and there was no response.So I meant to say my experience was worst at this restaurant. Restaurant ppl has to be more conscious on what they are giving to public..

No.1 Con: The place and no parking space at all for cars. Located right at the signal junction. Have to park about 400m away from the junction since the place is mostly busy. Pro 1:They offer some special dishes at reasonable price. Even Basic porotta and Chicken/Beef are best quality for that price. (₹114) Con 2: The other downside is many dishes like Puttu Biriyani are pretty straight forward. Just Puttu mixed well with Chicken/beef of your choice. Which is enjoyable in that ambience with a special tea. But feel like they could have improvised better with the specials. Pro 2: The "Kattan" side of things are great. Lot of options and most are different taste from one another and from any other place. Overall a traditional "Chayakada" vibes to hang with your friends, enjoy good Puttu and Kattan. Note: They don't provide a bill just like Chayakada. Make sure to ask if you want a bill. It's not a gst bill as well so cannot claim if you have any vocher offers from company.( As most WFH companies offers that benefit)

I tired there dishes from Perunna outlet (AC ROAD). They efficiently used the tiny bit space for dine in as well as décor. Tried Chicken putt biriyani and beef omelette... Omelette with idi irachi inside was yummy...Dont miss this... I wish if we got more shops like this in changanacherry ❤️❤️❤️🤤🤤🤤

There is no much taste as the reviews say.. Beef Curry is very very bad. Extra Grevy is very very bad.. Bad smell and full water. No good ambience. It's terribly hot inside pls provide good celing fans or ac. Price also high.

While we are returning home from Kollam, my friend put a story on Instagram asking which is the best spot on Alappuzha to have beef and this was the most suggested place. So without a second thought, we reached here. First of all, this is a small hotel and the seating and washing area is congested. As a thattukada this is normal. The ambience and the paintings on the walls are awesome. Coming to the food, we have ordered a variety of beef dishes and some chicken items along with puttu. Some of the beef items were good but others were average. Puttu was very soft and tasty. But if we say in overall it was a nice experience and enjoyed the food. Again thanks to all the people who gave suggestions to us. Above all of the food we had, our favourite was the mint tea. That is marvellous. It is one of the best tea I ever had.

Food is so good, This place is popular for its iconic black tea. Layered and minted. Coupled with beef and putt is so good to be true. Restaurant ambiance is good and the art work also. Its little pricier than other but its worth it.

Worst service!!!!! Ordered and ate food yesterday night and while asking for tea, the guy attending my table insisted that tea cannot be served in table and i have to collect it from the tea counter and have it outside😳. i'm glad he didnt ask me to reserve table for future visits (if i ever plan to go back for a quick bite which im least interested given this experience) This place used to serve good food with great service on offer but lately the service has disintegrated to thid pathetic extent.

Sweet and friendly people are serving food here and the food was very tasty (we ordered chatti chor btw) .but the quantity was a bit too much i would say 🤣❤️,i know what you're thinking, how can that be a complaint ,right?🤣❤️ . But yes the Alappuzha people are warm and welcoming and they'll feed you till your tummy looks like a 4 month pregnant lady!💝 Lots of love 💕💕

Worst ever branch of Puttum kattanum. You cannot find a significant piece of meat in Irachi puttu here, Unless you are that lucky one. Puttu + beef/ chicken is good Tea and cool drinks are fine. I forgot to review this place.. not able to recollect the name of dishes but still remember the taste. So with the limited memory of this place I am reviewing. Puttu is soft and served hot, chapati not a good option, beef omlet and nd beef and puttu was spicy just enough to make it good with tea. Open late night and easy to locate. I would recommend this place to foodies who are into puttu and spicy Kerala type beef preperation. Place is a bit congested. But then there is no delay in food preparation, so eat and gettt losttttttt in the cuisine...

Kissing the sand of Alleppey beach , Puttum Kattanum is the best place on Alleppey beach to have puttu Kadala ... also have a go at their biryani chai (it is a tea which is layered like a biryani)

This funky street side shack is small and intimate, with shared tables nestled at the back and space to stand out the front to talk and enjoy a glass of chai whilst you watch the world go by. There are no menus and a limited number of dishes to choose from, however, the food is quick, rich in flavour and delicious. There is the choice between beef, chicken, fish or chana masala (chickpea) curry dishes with a side of rolled cracked rice which looks similar to couscous in consistency. The curries are infused with Arabic spices and flavours, with the beef dish being the clear favourite amongst the locals. I would recommend to try the biryani chai which is a sweet milk tea or the black chai with mint to accompany your meal for that authentic touch.

Puttum Kattanum a.k.a PuKa is a small restaurant in the heart of Alappuzha town, which delivers on of the best foods in the locality. It opens around 6pm in the evening and stays open up late. All the food served here is extremely delicious and has that so called "Naadan" touch! There is a special type of tea called Biriyani Tea, which is one of my favorites! The main course there has a huge variety of items, starting from beef to fish. Beef Kurumulaku is the best! It has a retro feel inside, which adds up to the feel of the place! I would suggest people who visit Alappuzha to have dinner from this place. It's worth it!

Good place to have Kattan and Biriyani chai. Dine in will be congusted, so its better to enjoy these beverages outside the shop while standing. Signature dish is Puttu and Beef curry. Parking facility is not there as its next to the main highway signal, therefore car drive is not recommended.

Zooper.... Nostalgia place which can indulge 15 person at a time... Xooper food and cleanliness is excellent.The Street feels live at night due to their presence.

Its one of the happening places in Alappuzha. The shop is a pretty ordinary one with basic facilities. But there is an antique touch in the ambience. The main attraction here is the mint tea. Its a must try here. All puttu items and chicken kondattam are also worth for a try. Highly recommended for bachelors. Since its always crowded not that much recommended for family.

A nice, little kerala cafe by the Alappuzha beach. Their chais are top notch! They serve a variety of omelets, of which the erachi cheese is my favorite. Erachi puttu, erachi parotta is among our other most liked dishes. Fresh, great food at Very reasonable rates. Note: becomes uncomfortable to sit during the evenings because of the many mosquitoes.
