Pathetic.. Worst experience I've ever had from a hotel. Money hungry and rude owner. I had booked room through booking.com at this place. I called the property to confirm the booking and inform them of the arrival time before starting my journey. They had said everything was arranged. Halfway though my journey i received a call from the property's owner saying they have given my room to a walk-in European client. I was stuck in the middle of the road with my family and no accomodation. The owner didn't cancel the booking from his end either. Had to contact booking.com and they contacted the property directly. Booking.com was able to cancel the reservation for my without any charge. Such a pathetic management that discriminates against domestic tourists and giving preference to white tourists that they can get more money from. Forcing me to wait by the road with family with no place to go to. Worst experience ever. Please stay away. Do not make the mistake of visiting this property and giving them your money.

I was here with my friends for a small holiday. The place is completely made of wood and has a really nice story to it which you can hear from the owner himself. The rooms are very well kept, really spacious bathroom with a tiny kitchen to meet your needs. The owner was really helpful and friendly with us. They have a nice backyard with lots of butterflies and birds visiting it. Most of the beaches and the town is accessible from the place within 15-20 minutes. Great stay!

Excellent. It's an heritage stay very close to city with restaurants and market area. As owner described it's an 168 years building beautifully wooden crafted equipped with all essential new era essentialities. Very reasonable, neat and clean. Breakfast served is fresh and tastes good. Service provided by staff is very good. I recommend to stay.

It's a beautiful homestay. Mr. George, the owner was so helpful and so nice. He helped us a lot when in the middle of our trip one of our family member got dengue. He not only enquired about his well being from time to time but also helped us in every possible way with the hospital, doctors and everything else. Have never met and seen such nice behaviour. The breakfast was delicious and homely. The rooms were clean, the work in rooms were beautiful, the location is just perfect. Must stay place.

This is the best place to enjoy your family vacation if you are traveling to Alapuzha (Venice of the east). The place is like a heritage home with rooms carved with wooden doors and windows giving you a nostalgic feel of living in a "mana" or "illam" (traditional Kerala ancestral home). The owner Mr. George was very fast responsive for queries and the caretaker did an excellent job in arranging the rooms and services. I would like to point out a few Pro's and Con's of my stay. (There are no major cons but slight improvements /suggestions for betterment). Pros: * Excellent location of the property with ample parking space. * Truly blending with nature and sounds like crickets and sweet tweets of birds make your stay blissful. * Calm, Quiet and cool atmosphere with the host giving you a homely presence. * Amenities and facilities are well provided. * Breakfast is top notch with homely cooked food served to guests. Though you have to submit your choice to the caretaker day before. * Lots of greenery including garden and a small park like arrangement to hang out. * Care taker is great guy and you can access him at all times. * Outside boating, roaming, taxi services can also be availed upon request. * Located very close to tourist spot "Punnamada". Cons: There are actually no cons but only some suggestions for improvement. * It would be better to provide a pamphlet or leaflet for the guests in the rooms describing facilities available at the property with all contact numbers. * There is only a menu card available at the room for an external restaurant who will supply parcel food to the guest. The food is top notch as i have ordered it. * No refrigerator in the room. I didn't find one. It might be available in the top most selection only. * The breakfast timings are not even.I observed guests coming for breakfast at odd times. Would be better if you fix a time slot for breakfast. Like 8AM to 9AM or something like that and notify it to the guests. Overall i would say the stay was top notch and i enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended.

Perfect place to unwind! I wanted to book a place with great sunset views & a garden to relax and Kuttichira Heritage Home was perfect for the same. The home-cooked meals served were delicious. If you're also looking for something unique in room design then Kuttichira will be great for you :)

Just ignore all the negative comments here and believe the owner and go for it. You will miss a good experience in heritage home if u don't go here. Recommended for all. Bachelor's please stay away as it's not a place for drinking and smoking.

Absolutely disappointed with this one, the room which was given to us was sooo small and there were spiders around the room as soon as the room was given to us the floors were wet and felt like it's done just for the sake of doing also breakfast which was idli sambhar chutney was absolutely pathetic fr, daal was uncooked and chutney had no salt. Please focus on the interior of the rooms as well, think twice before booking.

A Charming Heritage Retreat My recent stay at Heritage Homes in Alleppey was an absolute delight. This 170-year-old building exudes history and charm, and the care provided by Mr. George and Mr. John was exceptional. The tastefully decorated rooms seamlessly blend modern amenities with traditional architecture, creating a cozy and luxurious ambiance. The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions, and the in-house restaurant offers delicious cuisine. I highly recommend Heritage Homes for a unique and culturally enriching experience in Alleppey, with enjoying Nehru Trophy.

George is an excellent host. He gave us a warm welcome and gave us a overview of the places worth visiting in the vicinity. The place stays true to it's name. It reflects the heritage of the place. We had a pleasant stay here for 1 night. The rooms are really neat and clean. They also provided single use dental and grooming kit which I did not expect, to be honest. We had an opportunity to have authentic home made food (idiyappam with kadal curry and puttu with vegetable curry). The taste was amazing. I will definitely stay at this place if visit Aleppey again! Thank you George for making this a pleasant experience for us.

Let me start with this , It's 160 year old building. Made out of wood .. isn't that enough for jaws to drop ? There is a family running it. It's honesty very decently priced. Bathrooms are actually clean and very spacious. Id pick it over any modern star hotels in the city.... One comes to alleppy to feel nature. Not a concrete jungle... If you're into nature and rustic vibes, this is a 11/10 . Would i recommend it for youngsters? Yes. Married couple - definitely yes. Parents and older - definitely yes. Great place for a work from home - trip. There are 3 categories of rooms. Top end is where I stayed . It's the best one

The stay at Kuttichira was a very unique and different experience compared to traditional hotels. The entire place is assembled from material 150 years old and has a very calm and peaceful vibe. The location is close to backwaters. John the caretaker provided excellent service and he'll arrange anything you need in the city. We had a great time.

Just loved the experience we had in Kuttichira Heritage Home. Mr. George was not just a great host but a great support and help. We were able to click at the first meet. The rooms were impeccably clean and organized, the compound and surroundings were absolutely gorgeous, giving you the perfect experience of an heritage home yet it had the modern touches. Would definitely visit again.

Stayed here for 3 nights.. The place is beautiful, lawn is full of greenary. Rooms are neat and provided with spacious bathrooms. Location is nearer to backwaters and beaches are also accessible within 15-20 min. The owner and staff are helpful. They have local contacts with many and helped in booking house boat and shikara rides along with two-wheeler and auto whenever required.

Outstanding heritage property with great hospitality to match. We booked the King Suite which is built inside a 168 year old heritage bungalow. The entire room is built of wood in the traditional way. Inside and outside you feel transported back in time. The homestay is located in a very quiet and upmarket part of Aleppey, a short distance from the boating point. The caretaker Mr. John is a wonderful and helpful person, always ready with recommendations. He arranged the boat trip, a rental scooter, rickshaw for sightseeing and also transport for getting to the bus stand. The property owner Mr. George is also a very warm and courteous person, eager to share the history of the property with you. Breakfast is delicious and authentic Kerala style. You can let them know the previous evening what you would like to have the next day.

One of the best Homestay’s I’ve stayed in so far. Great location, ample open spaces and the charm of an antique house. Rooms had all the amenities available, and was clean and hygienic. Lovely staff, as well the owners. Well maintained property at a very good price. Would 100 percent recommend it.

One of the most beautiful stays in Allepey. This is a heritage home with over 150 year old sheesham and rose wood construction. Beautiful rooms with vintage touches all over the place. The property is managed by the owners who have their home on the premises. George owns this property and is living with family. The family is super caring and they personally look after the guests and they made us part of their lovely family. John manages the property, he was like our family and a lovely human being. Perfect place to stay in ALLEPY whether you're visiting solo, family or friends.

The place looks very clean and well organised. The owners were very helpful. The owner, George has arranged for Shikara Ride and a bike to roam around in Alleppey. Since everything was ready in advance we didn't had to plan much for our stay there. Even the breakfast they served was good.

I was there for a 1 day stay and I must say the property is really good. The rooms are compact and really clean and well maintained. The staff working there are really friendly and Mr George was really kind to give us an early check in(at 6:00 am!!) and if the staff was really kind to give me a drop at bus stand. Overall very good property and rooms and the staff are also very friendly.
