Area covered by more than 1000 acres of rubber plantations and mountains, this Chittar dam and is 5 km away from home Recently they put restrictions to entry the dam area without permission & to take bath on reservoir Park area are not properly maintained no contribution from management side Looks like deserted place........................... A good place for morning walk , you can smell the taste pure air................................ Nostalgic,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, once upon a time in my school days , we used to spend a lot of time in playing , chatting and swimming on this reservoir...............................................

Beauty of nature, peace place. Lonely atmosphere, both ends of dam has different ways to reach.

Awesome place. Nothing much to see but the vibes are real good. One drawback is that, you are not allowed to bring cameras. Phones are allowed. Photography enthusiasts please re-think about this place.

Vast water catchment area, swimming is allowed. There were hotels along the way. Great place for a family outing.

Nature at its best. Totally worth the long travel from the city. One of the most scenic places around Trivandrum. Ideal time to visit would be between 4 to 6 PM.

Chittar Dam-2 we just visit few days ago... It's a one of the water source in kanyakumari.. We went back side area of dam.... Its like a heaven.... But its very strange place for tourists. if you want to enjoy your trip, go with your friends not family...becoz it's wear a desolate look. But its actually a awesome place.... We can collect memorable stories with friends... Yes. We made this trip with 12 friends.... ♥ Some wonder pics uploaded below... ♥
