We've dined at Mama's every time we've been to Maui for the last 32+ years. Never disappointed. Mama's coconut curry fresh fish is the best meal I've ever tasted. Mamas has the freshest fish. Delicious deserts can put you in a food coma. Great service. Pretty good wine list; though it's not extensive, there is something for everyone. Cocktails are pretty. In the bar or at a table, you can't go wrong. The view can't be beat. The place is simply beautiful. Reservations right now only through Open Table. You should book at least 6 months ahead but check frequently for cancelations. The menu choices vary depending on availability of ingredients. Thank you Mama's for another great experience in 2022. The hype on this place is not hype...it is legit! The ambiance is amazing, the staff were wonderful, but the food...Oh My Goodness!! The special gift from the chef to get us started showed us that we were in for an experience. My husband and I got the crab cakes to share and they were divine. Absolutely no filler, just luscious crab. For our entrees he got the toothfish, which tasted like pure heaven and I got three New Zealand King salmon. It did not disappoint, but the most incredible component were the bananas. I don't know what magic the chef did, but they were the best things I've ever tasted! For dessert we went with the coconut chiffon cake for my husband and I had the warm macadamia nut crusted banana crumble with Tahitian vanilla ice cream. Yeah, they were amazing. They even brought a special vanilla, berry treat with a candle for my husband's birthday. What can I say, it was worth every penny and more! Get those reservations early and get there...now!

This is a must must go place if you are lucky to make a reservation, probably 3 months ahead. And we are the lucky ones to get a chance to dine in at here. The whole experience is amazing. Please visit their website to read the founders stories before enjoying your meal. That was a legendary story. You will appreciate this restaurant more. The foods here are good, but maybe not that amazing, the same with their drinks. But still, the experience is good, the environment, the view, the fresh seafood…. It’s a very memorable experience.

The atmosphere and beach setting is absolutely gorgeous and definitely what you’re paying for! We were able to get family photos before our dinner reservation. The menu was pretty small so we decided to share a few entrees, appetizers and have some drinks! The food was pretty good. I recommend the crab cakes and the lobster bisque was delicious! Heads up! Reservations are to be made 5-6 months in advance… so if you know you’re going to Maui, I highly suggest you get a reservation ahead of time!

Mama's is honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. It's not cheap, and getting a reservation is very difficult, but the quality of the food and drinks, the presentation, and the service are top-notch. Plus the ambience and the location are incredible. They do offer some walk-in seating, but I'm not sure how hard it is to get seated. At any rate, if you are planning a trip to Maui, do your best to get a reservation at Mama's. The more lead time the better. You will not be disappointed.

Every bit of the experience was welcoming. We were greeted by name, allergies were acknowledged as we were seated, a birthday card was waiting at our table and the recommendations and service were delightful and engaging. The food was rich in flavor and presentstion. It truly is a capstone to the beautiful day. I cannot recommend this place enough to be visited at least once while visiting this island.

Attention to detail on your every meal. The ambiance of this place was top notch. The experience started with a complimentary mandatory valet. The staff were attentive. The bread came with a warm bisque. After dessert, they came with a cold towel and chocolate. The menu is to die for and everything was wonderful. This is a must do if visiting Maui.

If you're looking for an amazing seafood experience in Maui, look no further than Mama's Fish House. This landmark restaurant is known for its seafood-driven Hawaiian menu, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. The Polynesian decor is absolutely stunning, and the views of the ocean are simply epic. After dinner we even spotted a Sea Turtle on the shoreline! The fish is fresh and delicious, and the service is outstanding. If you're looking for a truly memorable dining experience in Hawaii, Mama's Fish House is definitely the place to go. Be sure to book months in advanced if you would like a good view. My wife and I showed up without a reservation an hour before they opened and we lucky enough to get a spot right when they opened. 10/10 experience. Will come back again. One of the best meals we have ever had and we have been to many Michelin starred restaurants.

Amazing. The food was absolutely wonderful. The ambiance was great. It was truly a wonderful experience. Kevin N., our waiter, was great. He gave us tips for other, area restaurants and was informative about drinks and food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Ensure you get reservations as soon as you think you want to check this place out, as they book up quickly.

Eating at Mama's was a true dining experience. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is amazing. (Thank you Alex!) But let's talk about food for a minute... If you want to have the best lobster you've ever eaten, amazing flavor combinations, and to be treated like royalty while you're dining, you need to go to Mama's. We booked our reservation 3 months ahead, and now I know why it's so popular. It's worth every minute you wait, and every dollar spent. Exceptional service, beautiful ambiance and amazing food. The Polynesian Black Pearl dessert is a work of art.

The entire experience was amazing. I wish I could give it 10 stars. Went to the restaurant for my birthday on our last day in Maui. Several staff members greeted me with a lovely happy birthday comment. The location was very clean and had several beautiful flowers. The online staff member accommodated a last minute request with in fifteen minutes. Everything we tasted was better than exceptional, the staff was attentive but not intrusive, and the view was amazing. The Thai curry was simply delightful. I would have to fly to Thailand again to get anything close. The side of bananas, macadamia cuts and mango but the curry in to the 5 star range. I will be back as soon as I can. Best part of my Maui vacation. Bravo!!!

10/10 the best food ever. The curry was the best I've ever had. It was life-changing 😍 Definitely recommend the beef with papaya and the Thai coconut lime apps. Pricey, but worth every penny. Reservations book months in advance, but we went straight from the airport and were able to walk into the bar with no reservation. Don't miss Mama's!

The service and atmosphere was top notch, especially the sunset views. They even had a welcome note with birthday greetings for my wife when we arrived at the table and brought a small cake which was so sweet of them. However the food was good not great and not worth all the hype it gets, but disclaimer this is coming from a person who does not like seafood. Even if you are not able to get a reservation here on your trip to Maui it's fine. It's definitely a spot to go if you're celebrating something.

I don’t know how it’s possible to give this place less than a solid 5/5 star review. Everything was perfect from the environment to the hospitality to the knowledge and dedication of our food allergies to the food itself, which was the BEST food we have ever had! We made reservations probably 3 months in advance, after numerous people recommending it to us, and it may have been the most memorable meal of our lives. Not exaggerating. If you have anything poor to say about this place, I’m concerned. Go here, you won’t be disappointed (and will probably be bummed every time you eat after this meal because your expectations are now too high for what food has the potential to taste like).

Best dinner we had in Maui! The food was delicious, drinks great, fantastic view, exceptional service. We had our anniversary dinner here and they left us a little note on our table which was nice. Pricey but worth it, especially for special occasions.

Had the most delicious honeymoon dinner at Mama's! Our server, Dane, was very attentive and personable. He understood our obsession with the complimentary bisque and helped to pair us up with some great drinks. Everything was delicious and we certainly appreciate crab cakes that aren't just filling. These were dense, delicious CRABcakes. Put the lime and mango on top! The tart and sweet flavoring pair so well together. Thank you for a great evening and beautiful sunset view. 🤙

What an awesome experience! I went for lunch with my wife and 6 month old daughter. We booked our reservation last minute (our whole trip was booked last minute). You just have to keep checking the website to see if someone cancels their reservation. The staff were so incredibly friendly and hospitable. The drinks were some of the best we've had in a while, and the food was absolutely on point. We've heard a lot of hype about this spot. It's absolutely lived up to the hype. Also, it's not cheap, but you're paying for the service, ambiance, and the incredibly fresh food.

It was my birthday and we got lucky with a reservation. Let me tell you this… Mama’s Fish House and the staff made my special day count! It was all worth it. We went with suggested starters and the daily special entree which was supposedly a 2lbs of whole fried fish 🐟 head to tail but came out maybe 3, had some poi, some house cocktails 🍹 and it was all outstanding!! Really enjoyed our dinning experience and the hospitality. I kept my birthday card as well 😊 Mahalo Mama’s Fish House.

The food were great and the drinks were awesome. There's a beautiful beach right out front the restaurant. You can't wear a tank top. They will give you a short sleeve shirt to wear that you must return. Also there's valet parking. Suggest to reserve a reservation.

Service was amazing. Top notch. The food was incredible Hawaiian dishes that were unique and fresh! Highly recommended. We went at 2pm and had apps, salads, and main course, so we were there until 5pm for a rehearsal dinner of 8. Great place for serene backdrop for photos as well.

We were the final walk-ins allowed at the bar! Friendly informative staff. Delicious fresh fish! Fabulous decor. Not sure if I'd be as happy sitting in the center of the dining room. Especially if I made reservations well in advance but the food is sooo good and fresh I would likely not care..

What they say is true...the food is delicious and the setting is beautiful. We were a large party and got excellent service. A few people at the table have food allergies and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. When the appetizers were brought out they made us aware of what dishes contained what, so no one had an allergic reaction. The drinks were delightful as well. Make sure you reserve months in advance. We were lucky enough to grab a reservation due to a cancellation.

What a fantastic experience. Food was incredible. We seriously had a hard time deciding what to order because it all looked so good! Our server, Kilohana, made us feel like there was no other customer in the entire restaurant and we could tell that's how he treated all his tables. Excellent service. This was our first time here, and won't be our last. Pricey yes, but we knew that going in, and the entire experience was absolutely 100% worth it. Spoil yourself. You deserve it!

Everything about this place lives up to the hype. The food, the service, the views, the atmosphere were all amazing. They started us off with a crimini mushroom soup which was delicious. For appetizers we ordered the won ton shrimp. It was very good. There were 4 good sized shrimp with a dipping sauce. I had the Arugula greens salad which was rather large (I ended up sharing it) and had a great flavor although I can't remember seeing any dragon fruit in it (maybe in dressing). My husband and I both had the short rib with lobster. I don't normally eat lobster but it was tender and delicious. The short rib was melt in your mouth succulent with a somewhat sweet sauce that was good on the potatoes and the lobster as well. The restaurant is open air style and the view from where we were seated was breathtaking. The server was extremely knowledgeable on everything on the menu and was very helpful with persons in our party who had dietary restrictions with offering suggestions as well as making accommodations. After we ate we walked down to the waters edge where we saw turtles swimming and coming ashore. Yes, it's a splurge to eat here but one that is definitely worth it.
