Pathetic place in Mangalore.. never book this resort.. the front office lady(think she is the manager) who manages bookings and is at the reception is the worst front office personnel you can have in any kind of hospitality industry.. she is best suited to be a warden of a lower primary hostel.. the way she talks to the guests in pathetic.. the room had a bad smell and it was not clean. They charge you 6500/room without food.. for food they charge 600/person and in return you will get very bad lunch.. please avoid this place.. the guy near the cafeteria was much more helpful than the lady in the front office.. it would be helpful if he sits n helps the guests than sitting serving lunch for the guests. Worst experience!

It was a pleasant stay last week with wife & kids. I booked deluxe room while check-in it was upgraded to luxury room to keep us comfort with 2 kids, I appreciate for there kind hospitality. While in 2 days stay I didn't feel kind of commercial place, homely atmosphere, homely food. I should thank a person who was leading at restaurant area for sincere service with fulfilling our food needs. "Overall my stay was extremely good & wonderful"

Very nice place for family stay. Google map takes you to wrong place so better be in touch with resort peoples to reach the right place . Lunch there was buffets as there was 37 members family was there and it was too noisy as all playing items and speakers are in dinning hall. That too family had thrown chicken bones on all tables. So as we just reached it was slightly cultural shock . By evening they all left and then we could enjoy the place . Night every food they cooked was more than amazing. Very well maintained swimming pool, rain water dance beautiful nature around and friendly EV rickshaw for those who can’t walk long . So caring people . The owner met us spoke to us without intruding into our privacy. It was so elegant gesture. Totally loved this place . Only suggestion is not to allow families to disturb others in dining area . Otherwise 5 star for everything.

Right from booking to the actual stay, everything was very smooth. The manager Ms. Sajda was very helpful. She arranged everything to the last detail. Our stay was very comfortable. Some of the other guests had insisted on playing loud music during breakfast. But the staff lowered the volume on our request. The place is picturesque and peaceful outing. The rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms spacious and clean.

Awesome place.. Around 12kms from mangalore airport. The resort is next to a river.. And it's soo peaceful n beautiful. Food is also super tasty. Staff is very courteous.price is also reasonable.Just amazing place for relaxation. Must visit.

This is one of the best resorts for family/friends group stay. There is a lot of activities setup here, so you don’t have to sit idle anytime of the day. Restaurant has good ambience with river frontage, very nice swimming pool with river on one side & beautiful nature on the other. Table Tennis, Foosball, Cricket, Shuttle badminton, bicycles & a lot of Slide/Swing & Activities for children too. Zip line is available too. Rooms are quiet well maintained. The best part was hospitality, never felt like leaving this place. All the staff were very kind & cooperative at all the times. Special mention of the Manager - Ms Sajda who ensures everything is as per your desire. We were all Veggies, so they prepared nice cuisines in Veg & served us. It’s a big property & they have an Electric Auto to drop you to distant locations of the campus. Thank you all at River Roost for making our stay a really memorable one. I stayed at the resort for two nights and I was very satisfied with the service and the facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The resort is also conveniently located near the city center and public transportation. Wonderful experience with River roost resort. I booked 3 rooms and was there for 2 days only. My kids and family really enjoyed a lot. This is one of the best for family stay. There are lot of indoor and outdoor games like Zip line, TT, Cricket, badminton, Foosball & Rain dance. Their swimming pool is well maintained and clean. They have small zoo as well and it was biggest attractions for my kids. It is a very big property and it has a beautiful river view from restaurant. A very special thanks to Manager - Ms Sajda and all the staff. She was guiding us during whole trip. She suggested one driver cum guide Imran for Mangalore and Coorg visit and he made sure to cover all the best temple, beaches, food-joints and site-scenes. Mr Suresh handles restaurant and Kitchen area and the all food we tried, was awesome. It was very nice experience and my stay was extremely good & wonderful.

I went to river roost for the first time for new yrs with my friends and our kids initially I was a little skeptical about how the place is going to be in between the jungle but once we reached there found it amazing. The receptionist is very helpful and we stayed in the wodden cabins which could have been better and cleaner. The bedsheets were not clean and the hair dryer wasn't working. But the ambience was very good especially for the kids. Since we went on new years we had a buffet dinner which was good. The activities were good but there was some issues with our speed boat which kept stopping in between. Breakfast could have been slightly better they can include items like idli Or dosa. Other than that we all had a pleasant stay and it was a beautiful way to end 2022.will definitely recommend it to others.

Awesome resort outskirts of Mangaluru, with a range of facilities. Rooms are well staffed and comfortable. Thoughtful management, they take good care of guests. We enjoyed our two day stay. Good food, amenities by the river side with great view. Could be a nice place for a calm and relaxing getaway. Location is little remote which is accessible by own vehicles only.

The resort is located in an ideal location. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The front desk employee was courtious and help ful. Food and restaurant was bad. No option of ala cart and the buffet was highly prices and what was served was highly disappointing. no variety and options. food was not good. Breakfast also had not too many options. Over all disappointed with the restaurant and food options. rest all fine

Hi River Roost Resorts, Best location to stay with your family for any type of holidays. rooms was pretty good and service is best. As a veggi, Food was best and Sambar is on top of the table to try out, other items specially South canara food must try once before you leaving. Advice: Every time don't try North Indian food at the resort, Please try South Indian food with best choices.

A very good resort, it is located about 15 km from Mangalore city. We booked a luxury room (ground floor). It is very big for 3 people. They have small wooden rooms on the top floor. Extra bed is provided for my daughter. The food is really good. They organized buffet lunch on day 1 and day 2. Due to no guests on day 3, they offered alacarte. We are vegetarians, and all the items are like home food. The people's service is really good. They have indoor and outdoor games. A swimming pool, zip line, and pedal boating in the river are also there. Be cautious when you are using outdoor activities like Shuttle badminton. The court is a bit un even. Pillikula zoo is about 2 km away from this resort.

We were a group of 3 families of 4 each and had chosen River roost resort for our new year and a birthday celebration. We had a great time at the resort with extremely friendly staff (special mention to Sajda and Priyanka) - they were very accommodating to our requests and arranged a nice birthday cake as well. The facilities and activities at the resort kept the children occupied and very happy - eg cricket, badminton, TT, carrom, swimming pool. The breakfast was also nice with a great river view and staff very friendly. Overall our experience was very positive and would highly recommend to people looking for a good resort in and around Mangalore.

Outdated resort with age old indoor games. Food is very average.. Positive : Rain dance,Pedal boating & near to Mngl city... Din't use room service so no comments. Dayoutpackage is costly for average resort..

A fabulous place nestled in the midst of nature, on the banks of the river Gurpur. The property is large and beautiful, with lots of activities for all age groups. Zip lining, boating, swimming and other activities like rope walking makes it an exciting place for physical activities. Large green open spaces with domestic animals like calves, goats, ducks, roosters and a variety of birds makes it an intimate experience with nature. The rooms are nice and the wooden cabins add to a unique and cosy experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was tasty and good. I would definitely recommend it, whether for a family holiday with children or a romantic holiday or a holiday with friends!

Best one day get away around Mangalore. Location located on the river bank with roads which reminds you of hill station, Rooms are spacious and hygienic, covid protocols are followed, delicious unlimited food(breakfast-lunch-dinner) spacious parking facility, polite and friendly staff, well maintained and clean pool and rain dance, boating, kids play and indoor and outdoor activities, highly recommend for group of friends and family.

Beginning with the booking for our stay, Sajda who is managing the whole place was most professional and streamlined the entire process. The rooms were clean and spacious.Arun and his team took care of all arrangements for the celebration of my daughters birthday and everything went off like clock work... Food was excellent coupled with great service. Pool was clean and the rain dance was good fun.. All indoor sports like TT, carrom etc was fun and the day passed leaving us with lot of good memories. Will visit again shortly and would suggest this place to anyone looking for a holiday.

Loved the hospitality here. Food is average. Beautiful river and a lot of outdoor and indoor activities. We played cricket, volleyball and chilled near swimming pool. Good one for groups, family rather than couples.

Perfect. Lovely ambience, wonderful staff - right from the manager, the house keeping, food and beverage and staff who look after the entertainment. It was a pleasant surprise to have the lady owner personally check with the guests during dinner. Please don't go by any negative reviews. My wife and I have 70 years experience in the travel and tourism trade and travelled a fair bit and know how to rate hospitality. Ours was a family group for 2 nights, enjoyed every bit, including the grandchildren.

Wooden room was not that great but other rooms was good compare to wooden room. The restaurant serve good food but u need to order 20-30min early, room service is available. There are many activities like zip line & boating which is chargeable & other actives like indoor n outdoor games are free of cost.

We had opted for the day outing package for our family get together of 26 people on a Sunday. We were informed about the other bookings well in advance so as to prioritise our activities accordingly, which I found very helpful. The team at the resort is friendly and highly cooperative to provide an excellent experience for the guests. This riverside place is serene with well maintained amenities and delicious food. No complaints! Highly recommended for day outings for family and corporate teams.

Nice place to celebrate the December vacation. Wonderful experience with our group of 40 people. Good food, nice dj, lovely riverside place. Rain dance and other activity is added advantage. Good prompt service.

Very good place Was a perfect match for our family and friends for our new year celebration and relaxed 2 days of vacation. My only Suggestion would be for them to have a massage center/SPA (this can be on booking basis too) this way it would be a perfect match for a relaxed family vacation!!

We availed day package.It was much need family outing after pandemic. We enjoyed every moment of being together. A perfect place to spend quality time.Food ,Amenities were excellent. The owner of the Resort was courteous ,she spoke to every guest on comfort level.Thanks to Sajeeda she was too very helpful .

Love the place. Truly getaway from city life. The staff, manager and the owner were quite friendly and warm. Had a homely feel with food cooked as per our preference , food served hot and fresh. Loved every bit of the stay. The pilikula botanical garden is also close by from this resort.

One of the best resort near Mangalore. Very good locality and nice people managing the property. This is pet friendly resort and they will welcome you with your pets. Day package is also available wherein you can enjoy amenities along with Lunch.

Beautiful resort between lush green hills and river. Serene ambience,  neat and clean rooms, polite and obliging staff with smile and yummy food. Good place for relaxation near Mangalore. Approch road is good but being situated in hilly area it is narrow and with steep slopes. In totally,  very nice place.

It was a great experience. I had been to this resort with my 9 other friends. We had a nice time over here. The resort has enormous space with well maintained room + lot of entertainment sports like cricket/TT/chess etc. Even view is awesome with the river by the side. Staffs are friendly and treats very well. I would surely recommend this resort.

I stayed during 1st Nov long weekend, drove from Bangalore. pros - great location and AC room was good. Food is also pretty good . Cons, all the facilities like badminton, table tennis, fuss ball, etc broken, no motor boat only pedal boat. If Mrs. Helen (proprietress) can take care of that then that's great. Also vegetarian option especially for dinner is limited . However, compared to many resorts , this is good option hope Mrs. Helen and Sajda (Admin) can work together to fix the issues, i would definitely recommend and visit again. In summary it's a good resort with potential to be great.
