Grabbing coffee with the locals. 💚🦎💚 Great local coffee shop along the art walk and other shops in this mountainside town. Mahalo!! 🤙🏽☕️

Easily the best coffee spot on the island. Unique flavors, excellent quality & latte art is superb. My husband and I always try to find a way to fit a visit in our week to get a coffee at white nene since it never disappoints. Definitely worth the visit!

THE coffee spot on the island! Regardless of if you are a purist and love a good pour-over to taste the terroir, if you are more traditional and prefer an espresso, or if you like sweet fun drinks, there will be something for you at Mark's place. There are decaf, oat milk, and a few options without coffee, like matcha or turmeric latte. You can can also buy bags of freshly roasted White Nene coffee! We liked the place so much that we were there daily during our trip. We have tasted approximately 80% of the menu, including the fall and holiday special menus, and everything was delicious. Almost every day, you will also find delicious pastries from local artisan bakers. It is ideal to not be in a hurry when you go, as people there are really nice and it is fun to have a chat while waiting or enjoying coffee! Note that after the holidays, White Nene will move to a new spot a minute up the road: there will be a seating area and a few new items on the menu.

The only coffee cart that I came across while on the island! The owner who runs the cart is very friendly and knowledgeable in the area of coffee roasting and brewing. Ice latte made with an espresso blend of Maui and Kau bean was what I needed to cool off during the hot afternoon. Hope they have an actual brick and mortar location in the near future!

That coffee roaster is a gem! Being coffee obsessed for over 25 years (and have tried all different kinds from Americas, over Middle East, to Asia Pacific) it usually takes me one sip to understand the quality of the coffee. White Nene was a fantastic discovery for me personally, full of rich earthy taste, strong but with a smooth finish. It’s a Must Try for everyone who appreciates a real good quality coffee 👌🏻

I'm not exactly a connoisseur, but I like the Kau and Skylight blends - quite smooth. I actually like getting their matcha latte from their pop up at the local markets the most. Super friendly roaster too!

This coffee roaster provides a rich authentic flavor of Kona coffee bean. The owner roasted the coffee bean regularly by himself, and it makes the people to taste and sip the fresh Kona coffee. If you want to experience the Kona coffee, you will not want to miss this place.

We rushed to get there before closing, almost flew off the cliff rushing there, so worth it. The 5 star reviews are well deserved! The creativity and quality of the coffee comes second to none. The only regret I have is that we did not order more.

EXCELLENT coffee, genuinely. I got a basic honey oat latte, and it tasted so fresh. The owner roasts his own coffee, and the quality shows. Highly, highly recommend. Arguably the best and freshest coffee on the island.

By far the BEST coffee you can find in Kona! My husband and I swung by the local farmers market in town on our first day in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We saw the White Nene serving drinks, and I decided to try an iced maple vanilla latte. Since then, I’ve been back for two more lattes and purchased the monarch espresso beans. The quality of coffee is like no other, I highly recommend checking them out if you are a coffee lover like me! ☕️

BEST DECISION MADE FOR OUR WEDDING! We were on the fence whether or not we wanted coffee at our wedding. Our wedding planner highly recommended White Nene, and right away we knew why. Mark was so easy to communicate with, and made booking and selecting a menu so easy. They showed up early to set up - and as soon as they were ready they had a line. They kindly offered a Vietnamese coffee option for our guests (my husband is Vietnamese), and our guests were pleasantly surprised to see it! Service was impeccable, and coffee was delicious - definitely a hit. If you’re thinking of hiring them, DO IT!

If you like good, innovative coffee, this is the best you can get on the Kona side. Mark has been roasting for years and works with local farmers to source fantastic beans. If black coffee isn't your thing, white nene made the best matcha latte I've had, and he creates seasonal special drinks. I can't recommend white nene enough.

easily the best coffee on Island - and some of the best I've had anywhere else, too. Mark is super nice and offers a very approachable way into specialty coffee for those who are new. The cart is a must-go for any local or visitor

Just stopped in and had low expectations due to not being able to find any good coffee on the island so far, BUT because I was so impressed I had to immediately make this review. 🤩 We ordered two misocaramel lattes with haupia whip, 10/10. My husband ordered a pour over and said it was the best coffee he has ever had. 🙌 10/10. Best coffee place on the island hands down. Make the drive

If you are a coffee lover, White Nene is the vendor to choose for your wedding! The coffee tasted amazing and the homemade syrups of honey rose and lavender were perfect. The coffee cart was really cute and added a fun touch to the wedding. In addition to the delicious coffee, White Nene provided a thank you gift and placed a custom stamp on each cup with our names to add a personal touch. Their personality is responsive and easy to work with, making the planning process enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend White Nene for their exceptional service and delicious coffee. They were definitely a crowd pleaser at my wedding!

Lovely little pop up at the weekly farmers market. For a small pop up the coffee was incredible. Well balanced! The barista (owner??) is a cool guy to chat with. If you're in the area I highly recommend making a visit to the white Nene. You won't regret it.

It was raining when we got up to White Nene and I was regretting doing so given the narrow windy roads and general gloom but seeing the cute white coffee truck and sipping on one of the better flat whites I've had in Kona changed all that. And how cute is that duck on the cup!?

Best coffee in the greater Kona area, hands down. The vibes are on. The energy is good. The coffee is better. The parking was not the best right in front of the shop so you have to park a little south (1 minute walk). Don’t complain though, it’s Historic Holualoa, it’s stunning anyway! There aren’t a lot of places to sit, so it’s a grab and go concept but who isn’t on the move these days, amiright?

White Nene owner Mark is the 2 year Hawaii roaster champion. Besides that, he is super friendly and very knowledgeable about coffee. My favorite drinks are the large latte with oat milk, the dirty chai tea and my all-time favorite turmeric latte. He is also serving Sundog Bread baked goods! I got a warmed up coconut danish, so yummy 😋 If you're looking for one of the best coffee places on the island you have to come here.

My family and I live in kona and have had coffee so many different places here and White Nene is consistently the best no matter what type of coffee we order. I cannot recommend them enough and wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Enjoyed coffee from White Nene at a farmers market so brought home this bag of 7oz of God’s amazing handiwork (mixed with White Nene care, cultivation, and roasting of course) to have my first amazing cup of coffee back at home.

I recently had a chance to visit some wonderful coffee roasters on the Big Island - something I like to do being from Seattle. One of the gems of my trip was White Nene, which I had heard about from a well-known world champion barista. The owner (Mark) has a little stand setup at this weekly farmer's market (which I also recommend). Mark made me a latte as well as a coconut specialty drink. Both were outstanding. I also brought back a few bags of Kau Monarch and Kau Wine. They were out of their Decaf roast at the time so hope to try that on my next visit. Definitely recommend trying out White Nene coffee.

We stopped by the coffee cart to get a couple of bags to take back home with us. The owner was so friendly. The beans are great, probably the best we found on the island!!

We tried a lot of coffee on the island, including White Nene twice. Both the oatmilk and regular lattes were outstanding and consistently good. Mark, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly. Try the coconut crème if you want to be adventurous
