We visited Monarch Coffee Farm Wednesday, July 26th, 2023. The tour was so very informative and the grounds were breathtaking! Sal, our tour guide was patient and nice. He answered all our questions and was full of great knowledge!! This is a family run farm including a bee farm where you can buy wonderful coffee and honey. Visit this location, you’ll be glad you did, worth your time for sure!!

We were not sure what to expect - there are lots of coffee farms on the island and didn’t know which to choose. We took a chance & booked the Roasting Tour. We arrived to find a stunning, very well manicured property with spectacular views of the coast. This was a top notch tour, start to finish - thank you Joshua & Erynne!! Very educational & we had a great time doing the roasting portion. Looking forward to brewing Monarch Coffee when I get home!

Our tour guide was amazing, so knowledgable and passionate about her work! And our roaster was amazing too, so excited to try our coffee back home! Definitely recommend for any coffee fan, truly the best I have ever tasted!

Loved our farm tour & roasting experience at Monarch. Everyone here is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We learned new things about coffee and enjoyed getting to roast a batch ourselves! Also got to try delicious varieties of coffee.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the coffee farm by Abby. She was very informative as well as personable and joyful! Marilyn welcomed us and helped in the shop/with the samples! She was adorable. We loved the coffee and the roasting experience! It’s a bit stressful but very exciting! We are thrilled to have our own roasted coffee to bring home as a souvenir.

I booked a roasting experience for my whole family and it was amazing and totally worth it. We received a private tour of the grounds and education on how coffee beans are actually produced. Kris was amazing to work with in the tour and to proceed with the roasting experience, where you roasted your own beans, the owner, Abby personally worked with us! Such a fun experience and with the best coffee I’ve ever had!

Goodness gracious, I know you hear a lot of folks say things like, "If you do ANYTHING, do the Manta Rays, dolphins, etc," and I fully support the sentiment. (Quick side note: many navigation apps including Apple Maps and WAZE sent us to the wrong driveway at which point we had to back into oncoming traffic on a blind downhill corner so DEFINITELY turn in BEFORE the mile marker 8 sign.) However, if there's an ounce (or 16) of Kona coffee aficionado in you, then this is my "If you do ANYTHING" addition. Sal, Abby, and Joshua were incredible hosts. We should have done both the tour and the roasting demonstration but had our two kids with us and it wasn't advised for us to do that portion. However, we would have forced our kids to deal with it had we known about Abby beforehand! Sal and Abby are super knowledgeable and clearly see this and treat this as their craft. Their son Joshua was an excellent host on the retail/testing side. What a team! If we ever visit the Big Island again, we will do so sometime between mid-August and January so we can see the harvest operations. Thank you for an incredible tour!

10/10! We did the roasting experience and we were so impressed by Monarch Farm and the fact we get to roast ourselves our own blend!! So cool and would definitely recommend :)
