Wonderful bouldering gym with engaging staff. Well designed walls, good setting. Rivals similar gyms on the mainland.

Such a wonderful open air bouldering spot. Great routes, people and surrounding treats. Really fun stopover if you’re visiting the island, they have shoe rentals. Super fun / clean / sticky routes for all levels.

Beautiful climbing gym. Although small has problems for everyone up to v9. Very friendly community and Astin was extremely helpful. Highly recommend going. Just be warned the humidity makes the slopers a bit of a fight.

Great friendly staff. It was nice meeting Mallory, Shawn, Cooper, Aziz and Nym. The gym has been open since July 2023. The climb distribution is skewed towards the lower end as the community is still growing. However, unless you're an advanced climber, you probably won't run out of climbs. I spent 3.5 hours here and still had a couple of climbs left. Some interesting setting, not sure how often the walls get reset, but heard it's split into 4 sections. There was also a free rhino repair sample. There's 1 big brush stick, resistance bands and a water station. No bathroom in the gym, you'll have to walk down a short walk to Willie's. It was not crowded at all while I was there. Overall, whenever I'm back in Hawaii I will stop by for a day pass, even though it's slightly expensive at $30.

A place for the entire family! We have 4 kiddos (14, 12, 8, and 5) and we can all climb and be active together. It's such a positive and encouraging environment at Kona Cliffs! It's open to all ages, activity levels, shapes, and sizes. A place where you can really celebrate what your body can do! We are so grateful to have a place like this in Kona!

You MUST go here if you’re a climber. Visiting the Big Island from Texas and this gym was an absolute treasure to have found. Such a friendly and welcoming vibe, and the staff were so friendly! Climbing was some of the best indoor that I’ve climbed in a long time. Sets are beautiful.

Kona cliffs is a small but homey gym. The staff and other climbers foster an extremely friendly climbing environment. They have surprisingly creative and challenging routes that will push you to your limit. Sean was the front desk staff and he was very friendly and encouraging. 5/5, would crave for a gym like this back at home

been coming here for a while, exellent comstomer service, free climbing shoes for the whole day, new climbing routes every week or so, i come here 4 times a week, and its great! must visit!!!
