Came in for an early dinner around 5PM. Was seated in 10 minutes and service was great and fast. The beer menu had many options including wine and the non alcoholic Ginger Lemonade was delicious. Admittedly the food menu is slightly limited, including mostly pizza, apps, and a few entrees. Regardless, we ordered several pizzas and apps and everything was fresh and delicious. The Roasted Garlic App was to die for, would get that every time. The seating area was refreshing and beautiful. Definitely worth a stop if your in the area

Took the 6pm sunset tour. The tour itself was short but informative and we had 7 different beers to taste. We were also able to sit out on the balcony and watch the sunset. After the tour, we went back to the restaurant and had Hawaiian pizza. It is definitely an elevated pizza with goat cheese and pork- it was fantastic. And at night they have tiki torches outside.

Nice open air shaded seating. Friendly attentive server got us started with a couple brews. I had the dark coconut beer which I enjoyed as a novelty. Then had the Kua Bay IPA which was excellent. For dinner we had Naahehu (loaded) nachos and a small Captain pizza. Both were very good and filled us up.

This place is great!!! The vibe is great and the food is amazing. You have to get the pepperoni rolls when here. Thanks to Brian and Kayla for the hospitality. You have to try the famous Wailua Wheat beer when here. Highly recommend stopping here after touring the beautiful and huge brewery!!!

5 stars for the service and the tour, which was a lot of fun, very informative, and very generous on the tastings. They even bus you to the brewery, even though it's only a 5 minute walk from the restaurant. We also stayed for dinner and drinks after and were seated immediately and had fantastic service. 4 stars overall for the beer... Good quality but between Kona and Maui, I personally found Maui to be much more interesting and flavorful.

Come here for a cold one and a good pizza. It's a fine marriage of calories that make this haunt worth its salt. If your looking for something light their salads are also enjoyable. I've had some lunch meetings here and have found the atmosphere's most conducive to my ends. The service is acceptable and the indoor/outdoor seating was adequate with the interior being airconditoned.

Awesome beers and good pizza! Very decently priced as well! The pineapple pizza was not my favorite because I hate pineapple on pizza BUT I took off the pineapple and the pork and sauce had good flavor. The Portuguese sausage pizza was super good tho! The nachos was also amazing! The beer cheese they use is super good and the kalua pork on top was super tender!

The food and our waiter were on point, the hostess was a different story which is why there’s not 5 stars. We ordered the Beer Queso and two pizzas, pepperoni and The Captains. I had there two Porter beers, highly recommended. The waiter was on point and fast with bringing out our food. The hostess was a different person all together, she was very rude. She was more focused on correcting our vernacular of calling the porch/patio a “Lanai”. I realize we’re in Hawaii and that’s what it’s called but we’re not local and was disappointed in the way she acted. The Hawaii Kai location is definitely a better atmosphere and much nicer hostess team.

So the restaurant is in the back of the brewery, a comfortable terrace, there is a host seating guests and they are very polite. The waitress was also fantastic and the food came very quickly. The waitress also made some recommendations for the beers and they were both great. The variety of the menu is very good for the beers. The food was a bit underwhelming, which can be understandable considering this is mainly a beer shack. The pizza was bland although the ingredients were plentiful, the pizza rolls were just pepperoni wrapped in a roll, nothing amazing, and the pulled chicken sandwich was mediocre. The chips served with it where crunchy, a bit too much I would say, but there are options for sides like mac and cheese and more. Prices are a bit high, but it's a local brewery in Hawaii, don't expect discounts. The music was good, and the ambience was making the whole place relaxed and laid back. There's a large parking lot right in front.

Always loved their beer so I had to come and visit. Food was delicious and the crust on the bread was excellent. Only reason I mention the crust is because I usually never eat it on other pizzas. Had the wings as an appetizer, was just as good. The food was worth the wait time.

Fun tour at sunset (indirect). The tour guide was great and we had dinner afterwards. Nice service all around. The pork tacos were the winner at dinner (not pictured). I’m going to have to come back tomorrow to try that pizza!

Good beer at a reasonable price with a great ambiance. However I wouldn't eat here. Food was kind of expensive and very underwhelming. Pizza was meh, and the tuna fish tacos were a bit strange having cooked tuna. I would for sure some back for drinks to hangout despite the food

I have been enjoying Kona Brewing Companies beer in Arizona for years now. My goal when I got here on Kona is to make sure I made it to the Brewery before I left. The Koko Brown Coconut Ale was INCREDIBLE. They certainly don't have that available in Arizona so that was a treat to have. Got the Pretzel Sticks and the Pepperoni Rolls for food and those hit the spot as well. Rounded out the whole experience with some Kona Seltzers which were very good. I would easily recommend stopping in for either food or definitely the drinks. Hope to be back in the future.

This was our first stop after leaving the airport and it set the perfect tone for the rest of our trip! Great beers and good variety of tasty food. We were able to walk in with no wait. I’ve always been a fan of Kona beers on the mainland so it was neat to get to try to pub exclusives.

A lot of Youtubers recommended here. But, what an awful experience we had! We walked in before 8:30 pm. If no one wanted us to be there because they are closing out, why didn't they just tell us directly instead of being passive when we walked. We could've gone to McDonald's or Safeway even for a better experience. All the staff we encountered were giving attitudes or ignoring us! Again, we would've gone somewhere else if we were not welcomed. The food was awful. The server confirmed our order, but she still got the order wrong. The sauce came with the fish sandwish, which was spicy, and no one gave us a warning. Since it was late, we didn't bother to mention it. We tried to get out as fast as we finished the food, but we didn't get the check until we asked. Just a note, we were not the last ones who left. I'm very disappointed 😞 NOT recommended!!!

This was on my wish list in Kona. I didn't do a tour of their Brewery, but the seven of us enjoyed 3 different pizzas which we all enjoyed. I also bought a T-shirt. I highly recommend you check this happening place out.

Good food great beer. It was a hot day so the fans were nice to have, otherwise there is indoor seating available. Service was a tad slow but they were slammed for the lunch rush so it was understandable. Recommend the pretzel and the BBQ chicken sandwich. The mac salad might just be the best I've ever had, I wish I could have gotten a growler of that!

Grabbed some snacks and drinks here and it was a great dining experience. I am not a beer drinker but they offered many non - beer drinks and of course a large beer section which my husband loved. Many vegetarian options for apps and entrees, limited vegan but many options could be customized. We only had to wait 20 mins for a seating outside, inside is first come first serve

Great stop while in Kona. We each had a beer. I tried a slice of pizza. They were busy and the bartender did a great job of taking care of our needs. Lots of seating. Fantastic beer choices. Pineapple flavor was a favorite 😍

Some of the best beer I’ve ever had! Their food is spot on as well. I got the Black sand porter, Castaway IPA, Lemongrass luau, and the Fire rock pale ale. I also got the pork tacos and a the brownie w/ice cream for dessert. Definitely recommend visiting!

Been here 30 times. While I always try to order something else I end up regretting it. Get the slice and the salad. This is the best thing on the menu. Simple, inexpensive and good. The beer here is a lot of stuff you see at the stores. I always ask for seasonal options as they are ever changing and can be really great. Service While service is always pretty good what prompted me to leave the review today was Dan. Dan is really awesome at his job. He’s quick, attentive, polite. Everything a server should be. Thanks Dan. Atmosphere Good for young kids as they can play on the astroturf (small area). The outdoor seating is nice as there are many plants and shade. It can get a bit warm but that’s just Kona.

I went reluctantly since I really wanted some local food. But : the location has outdoor seating, the beer is interesting and everyone found something they liked. The food was good and I strongly recommend the pork belly sandwich, the nacho chips were different then on mainland US, crispier, the pizza was tasty and we chose a garlic one/ you could really taste it. Kinda American food with a twist.

Seated promptly outdoors after checking in at the front. Service was good and attentive. Food was ok. Wings were good. Chicken strips for kids are actually a good option. Beer was ok. Bay Runner IPA is worth a try. The rest you can get at the store without much difference.

This place is like its own village. Great place to eat, drink, and walk around to the different shops. Huge selection of beer that you don't find anywhere else. Nice selection of food from poke, to salads, tacos, and pizza.

When in Kona, on the Big Island, and you like beer, then you have to visit the Mother Ship for Kona Beer and some tasty food. This is where it all began for Kona Brewing and they have as many as 20 Kona beers on tap. Do a tasting flight of four or eight shots to pic you fav of the day and dig into one of their pizzas and a salad. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly wait staff and, oh yes, the Beer! We had the large Captain pizza and a small Cesar salad. Several small shops nearby for a nice stroll after eating. Most seating is outdoors under shade, small bar and a few tables inside. Be sure to walk around ... The walls inside are lined with some great Kona memorabilia and music legends. No reservations are being accepted, walk ins only. Was about $75 for two, including tip. Aloha!

We had an okay experience here. The beers were okay. The food was okay. The service was also just about okay. The location is quite nice, so we expected more from it. We're just bummed. We had the mixed grill plate. We only enjoyed the grilled sausage. The chicken and the pork were just okay.

Great brewery! Lots of out door seating. Friendly staff. Highly recommend trying some of the taproom exclusive beers such as the 'Mai Time'. They have beer to go including growlers/crowlers. Pretty extensive food menu or when the kitchen is closed(due to covid) delicious food trucks.

The staff was awesome! Food was good and the beer I enjoyed. Got the gold Cliff IPA and the kau bay IPA and both were delicious! Great indoor and outdoor space. Parking can be a bit frustrating as it can get busy.
