This tour is absolutely perfect. And, if you’re fortunate enough to get Kurt as your tour guide, you could not be in better hands. His knowledge is amazing. He was so accommodating, informative, fun, and funny. He definitely “made” the tour. I mean, how does this guy know all this stuff!?!? We saw and experienced things that would not have been possible if we had tried to explore on our own. Kurt’s local knowledge, experiences, and history (resulting from living on the island for most of his life) are beyond valuable. Book the tour! And I hope you are lucky enough to get Kurt as your guide!

I'm convinced that Kurt Bell is the best tour guide that Hawaii has to offer. Kurt gave all 13 of us a lifetime of memories. We did the 11 to 12 hour full island tour and the minute we got in that van I knew that we were in for something special. There were 6 couples and one single person in our van....complete strangers. 11 hours later I would say we were friends. The beautiful sites, the conversations, the laughing, the joking...we had an incredible time. I am so glad that my wife and I went on this tour. Kurt is so incredibly knowledgeable about everything on the island. He's lived here most of his life and spent many years in the tourism business. His experience shows. I can't stop thinking about how incredible this day was. I've been on a few guided tours but this was special. Truly unbelievable. The sites were BREATHTAKING but there's now a whole other element to guided tours that I didn't know existed. Kurt is that element. Thank you Kurt. Van's were nice, snacks were good, water was provided, the hot lunch that wasabi provides was stupid delicious, Probably the best food I've ate on the island and I'm on day 3 lol. I was shocked how good it was. Fresh teriyaki chicken was the entree. Plenty of bathroom breaks so don't worry if you have an active bladder. Don't think twice about booking your trip with wasabi. Ask for Kurt! I vacation approximately 30 days per year. I've been to 15 states so far and I'm 34. I'm not sure I'll have another experience that will match this. Thanks Kurt and thanks wasabi for a truly wonderful experience.

Our family booked the full day island tour. It was wonderful. We visited Kona coffee farm, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, lava tubes, waterfalls, endangered sea turtles, and black beaches. If you want to see the island, this is ideal! Lunch was delicious. Our tour guide, Robert, was kind, informative, and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was excellent. Comfortable van, many sights seen, delicious locally sourced lunch provided. Not too long between stops, spent just enough time at each place to experience it well then move on to many more. Our guide Dreu was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Swimming at Kulaniapia Falls was amazing. Bring swim shoes, wear hiking/ comfy shoes with traction.

My parents and I went on the 12 hour tour yesterday 5.12.23 Dreu Basaldua was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing. Energy and knowledge of the island culture. Advised of many facts that were unknown until we went on the tour. Absolutely worth it! So glad we went!

I would like to give a 5 star review to our guide, Scott. He was born and raised in Hilo, and he knows every single detail about this island! I really enjoyed him telling historical stories especially the one of captain cook, he’s a pro! He is also very caring and considerate, making sure every one of us is taken good care of. In terms of the tour, it is totally worth it! It saves you all the trouble driving around the island, but brings you safely and comfortably to all the important spots. The black sand beach and the volcanoes are my personal favourites. Scott will make sure you know about every animal you see on the way, every story of the places you are visiting, and lots of hidden gems around the island people are not usually aware of! There are so many to tell about this trip, no matter you are staying a short period of time or here for a longer stay, it will be perfect for you and you will be satisfied!

We really enjoyed the all day tour of the Big Island my sister and I took! Misha ( sorry I don't know how to spell his make correctly!) was awesome! We learned a ton of Hawaiian history, and saw some amazing places. The coffee farm was really neat, our favorites were the Punalu'u Bakery, seeing the green turtles at Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, and the Big Island Candy! We even got a few extra stops in. It was quite a long day but very worth it. We would highly recommend!

Kurt tour guide was awesome, his boss Brian should give him a raise! With over 30 years of experience, stories and knowledge of Hawaii makes me smile every time i think of this tour. Stops at coffee plantation and donuts supplemented lunch. Fruit stand was a nice ending. Buy this tour for entire day of excitement.

If you’re visiting the big island only for a few days and unsure how to get the most of your trip I’d definitely recommend this tour (big island in a day)!! Derek was an amazing tour guide, the South African accent provided an extra bit of exotic to the tour. Lots of cool spectacles and you really get your monies worth!

If you are visiting Big Island this tour company are outstanding. We did the volcano and star gazing tour and this was the absolute highlight of our trip! Henry our tour guide was a massive part of the reason. He has incredible knowledge of his home land which he passed onto us in the time that we had together. It was an experience we will never forget. We cannot thank Henry enough for being so welcoming and making us feel at ease straight away.

We experienced a marathon day with our guide Todd, he was excellent! Intelligent, funny, and knowledgeable, all rolled into one unique experience. Be prepared. This is about a thirteen hour excursion.

One of the best ways to see the island! We had a great tour thanks to Brent, he was very interactive with us the entire trip and knowledgeable not just on the history of the island but the plants, flowers, fruits and so much more! It is a long day, a lot of the 11-12 hr tour is spent in the van driving to each location but the ride was very comfortable, we were provided a delicious lunch, beverages and snacks throughout the trip and saw all the main points of the island which was exactly what we needed for such a short trip.

Great first day on the big Island with Jacklyn as our tour guide. She provided so much information on local history and culture while navigating us around the island - we drank coffee, looked into Volcanoes, hiked to waterfalls, saw sea turtles, and journeyed though a lava tube!!! Would highly recommend this tour and definitely ask for Jacklyn.

Had a wonderful experience doing the Volcano & Stargazing tour. Most of this is down to Henry, our tour guide. He had an incredible knowledge of the island and it's history. He is honestly a massive asset to the tour company and would highly recommend a tour with him. The volcano national park itself is wonderful and is a must visit if you find yourself on the Big Island of Hawaii!

The Big Island in a Day tour was a long, but absolutely amazing day on the Big Island! We went with Chris, who was knowledgeable and a lot of fun! He told us a lot about the history of the island as well as what it’s like living there. The tour itself was awesome! All the best stops- beaches, volcanoes, rainforests, waterfalls! It does involve a bit of walking, so wear comfy shoes. The provided lunch was simple, but very tasty.

This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Our tour guide Todd was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. I appreciate his ability to share knowledge of nature, show people amazing places and talk about history of the Big Island. We spent an amazing day visiting coffee farm, volcanic park and finishing the day with stargazing experience. Todd made the whole group fall in love with the stargazing. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for deeply enriching experience.

On December 30, 2023, we went on the 11 hour tour around the Big Island with our tour guide Brent! This tour was truly life-changing!! Brent was extremely personable and kind. We toured everything from the coffee farms to sitting on top looking down into a volcano to the black sand beaches. The lunch provided was delicious—a bento box of chicken teriyaki, purple potatoes, a fish pancake and chips and a drink. The big island has a majority of the different climates on earth so I would definitely bring a jacket and/or sweater. Just as an FYI, it’s 7 hours around the entire island without stopping. It is a lot of time in the car. A swimsuit is not required. We didn’t really swim on the tour. Anyways, my boyfriend, now fiancé proposed on the tour at Rainbow Falls in Hilo. Brent was helpful in recording a video of the proposal and helping BF plan the moment. It was so special for us. Additionally, he was so down-to-earth, we learned SO SO much from him. I can’t wait to take the knowledge acquired from this tour back home to tell to family and friends!

Had a really fantastic circle island tour hosted by Dreu Basaldua. Got to see beautiful beaches, sea turtles, volcanos, waterfalls, and the Hawaiian valley of the kings all in one day. The tour bus was very comfortable, AC was appreciated, and the lunch and snacks were really tasty. Had a wonderful time and it really made our first visit to big island a fantastic experience. Will definitely recommend this as a way of being able to tour and enjoy the island without the hassle of renting a car, driving hundreds of miles, and having to navigate so many beautiful parks and sites trying to find parking.

We were hesitant to take the tour because of its 11 hour duration… however, will never regret having taken it. Chris kept us motivated every minute of the day, taking us to fantastic sight, and telling the history of the island and their culture. Seeing desert, beach, mountains, rainforest all in one day with a knowledgeable guide was a unique experience. Totally worth it.

The grand cycle tour was really great. The tour guide was amazing. We saw many amazing viewpoints with enough time to make pictures. The company has a great customer service providing during the day drinks, snacks and lunch included in the paied price. The company can be highly recommended.

Our private tour of the Big Island was fantastic....Derek was great. Knowledgeable with excellent stories. He is an communicator and he lead a great tour. This tour will rank as one of the highlights of our trip. This was a one day private tour for 6 of us of the Big Island, although they do have group tours. Flew into Kono first flight of the day and had pick up at 7AM. Derek was excellent asked our interests and got to know us as well. We saw everything from coffee farm and tasted some great Kona coffee then onto a great bakeshop at the southern most point in the USA. Followed by a trip to the black sand beaches with viewing of sea turtles. Onto Volcano National Park and some great views of craters and good history of the islands formation. Lunch in an old lava field. We finished the day with stops at 2 waterfalls on the eastern side of the island then it was off to Hilo for our trip back to Oahu. While we spent 10 and half hours on this tour you would never know it was that long Derek kept us interested along the entire journey. Would highly recommend Wasabi tours and Derek for this tour. We did the Wasabi waterfall full day tour this week. Our guide was Derek. He did a great job. I enjoyed the warm lunch that was provided. The botanical garden, though strenuous was nothing short of amazing. The final private waterfall swim was top notch. The entire family enjoyed the 11 hour tour. Thank you for a great experience.

Our tour guide, Aaron, was awesome! He had great knowledge of the entire island. Had many interesting stories to tell! We never felt like we were being rushed to the next location, and we never felt like there was nothing else to do at the same time! 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to Kona for a few days!

The Big Island in a day tour was fantastic. Our tour guide Brett helped us get to know his island and him. It really felt like a friend introducing us to his home. It is a long day (12 hours), but the perfect way to start a week on the island.

Don’t pass up the opportunity of a life time with this tour. Our tour guide Kurt was so knowledgeable and amazing with his personality. Kurt was more than accommodating traveling with three kids. It’s a long day, but is completely worth it. Ask for Kurt!

Aloha! Our tour guide, Awana, was incredibly fun and engaging. He was also kind and accommodating, as my Mom is handicapped, and had a wheelchair and walking braces he made room for in the back of the van & waited patiently for her to WALK with her braces, (as most stops are not wheelchair friendly), an entire challenging adventure down and back through a lava tube, without a hitch. He also was very flexible and knowledgeable about Hawaiian history and culture as a local. For my Mom and I, this was imperative for our first trip to Hawaii! Lunch was good and all setup/cleaned up for us! We highly recommend this tour/company and of course, our guide, and recommend to take it EARLY on your first trip to get a good idea of anything you'd like to explore in more depth/time while on the big island, as stops are only 15-20 minutes usually, though accommodation was made for the lava tube stop due to my Mom taking it very slow. Awana always made sure every one of his guests was safely back in the van before departing to the next stop. Got great pictures and glad we did this tour! Mahalo!

We came to Hawaii the big Island , booked three tours with this company and all three tours were canceled on the morning of the tours over a little bit of showers. Which by the way rain is to be expected in Hawaii. I got back to my room and immediately started to call other companies that had similar tours, they were all booked and not canceled. Wasabi believes my review is undeserving, perhaps it is because they didn’t spent the money to come here on a long awaited vacation as we did. Not only did we missed the opportunity to see some of the most amazing spots in the big island, but we turned down other companies we had booked with because our hotel suggested Wasabi. Yesterday we made a small tour with another company, the day was much worse than today and every stop we made I saw the Wasabi vans, so this wasn’t about safety or weather at all. Everyone has the same access to the weather ahead of time, so why even accept bookings to begin with. I made the mistake of leaving all my best tours with Wasabi and I lost my opportunity to really see Hawaii The Big Island. I advice visitors to rent a car and do your own sight seeing, your experience shouldn’t be in the hands of others, every company has their own interest in mind and trust me when I say , they are not the same as yours. I have attached pictures of what the day looks like, no reason whatsoever to cancel.

Had a tour with Robert! Was a great day and saw some beautiful spots on the island. Weather was great and Robert kept us on track and able to get us some extra time at more desirable stop. It's a long drive around the island but we didn't lack for information about the the areas we were driving to and through as Robert did a great job sharing stories and Hawaiian history with us as we traveled from location to location.
