We went here at noon and had to stand in a line (15 people ahead of us); but the food was really fresh and worth it. All of the poke is tuna with different flavors. We had Pele's Kiss, Spicy Garlic, Wet Hawaiian, and the Shack Special. They were all great. They also had great sides. We tried the Taka salad, spicy clams, and quinoa seaweed salad also. Unfortunately they had run out of seaweed salad. That is a risk....they do run out of stuff. Would definitely recommend going to this place if you are on Big Island. Best poke place.

This is the best place to get poke. The poke here is fresh and delicious. There are many options so you’re bound to find something you like. How it works is that you choose the size of your plate. You then choose your mains and the your sides. I tried most of the different kinds of poke they have. They are all very good. I also tried the mini octopuses and scallops. They were incredibly fun to try and tasted very good. I recommend the crab as a side since it’s real crab and not imitation crab. There is a selection of bottled beverages that you can chose from. There are some picnic tables you can eat at outside, but you most likely will have to go eat somewhere else.

This is definitely the best poke we've found on the big island! Logistically, it's kind of hard to get to. They are currently closed on Sundays and Mondays, but they don't update their hours anywhere except their front door. So our first attempt to come here was unsuccessful. They're only open until 4, but you need to get there well before 1 if you don't want some things to be sold out. There will probably be a line, but it's not too bad. We got a poke plate with Spicy Crab Salad, Potato Macaroni Salad, Spicy Garlic Sesame Poke, Wet Hawaiian Poke, Shack Special Poke, Pele's Kiss Poke. The Shack Special was definitely my favorite followed by Pele's Kiss. The sides we picked were ok, but the poke was definitely the star of the show. If you're looking for great poke on the big island, plan ahead and come check this spot out!

The best Poke you can get! Service is very friendly and the quality of the food is amazing. A bowl costs $18 & a plate $35. Nevertheless it's worth it. I've had a lot of seafood up and down the west coast and on the islands. This is one place I would be happy to come back to.

Amazing poke. We ate lunch here four out of the seven days we were here, and two of those days we missed were because they were closed 🤣. We kept going back to the Shack Special poke, though everything was super fresh and delicious. Hot tip... take your poke to-go and enjoy it at the little beach park that is just south (at the end of the building). You'll definitely see some surfers and there are decent chances of seeing some turtles too. Nice shaded picnic table too.

This place is kind of hard to find— it’s like in some condos downtown in Kona by the shore. Super delicious though, good poke choices and fast service. Can’t go wrong with any of the options. Fresh and tasty!

Not going to lie, the poke was good, and I recommend trying it at least once!! They warn you ahead of time that the price is very high. To eat here often though... you can get just as good poke for less than half the price at Sack 'n Save.

Best poke in Kona. This was our first stop for poke on the big island and it was the best we had. Fresh and delicious and the variety of options was great. You won’t make a mistake coming here….so worth it. Benches are outside with umbrellas. Parking is small but spaces open up quickly.

Delicious poke!!! We stopped here for lunch and we are so glad we did! I got the Wet Hawaiian and Pele’s Kiss both were amazing! You can definitely tell how fresh everything is. The service was quick but friendly, they are used to people not knowing what to order but did a great job helping us interpret the menu and pick things we would like. The tables outside were full but we walked a little ways down and ate looking out at the ocean which made the meal even better! We will definitely eat here again!

The very worn floor is really all you need to know! Very popular for years and years. This is some of the best poke on the island. Super fresh and simply seasoned depending on the flavors/styles you choose. Read the directions so you are ready to order (see one of my pictures) Locals make a point to stop here and you should too!

This is a tourist trap. Checked out the place after seeing lots of great reviews and the experience was underwhelming due to these reasons: - it’s actually a shack but the price is at par with a dine in restaurant. Besides two tables outside with partial shade there’s no place to sit and eat your food. - We were rushed through the ordering process and couldn’t spend sometime looking at the options available. - The pokes and other food were just average. There are many other places in big island where better pokes are available. Nothing special about this place. I wish the restaurant reviewers don’t hype things so unsuspecting tourists like me will not end up at a place like this.

Opens at 10am, arrive early to avoid a line (like most places here). We got the 4 poke sampler plate with 2 sides. Poke was delicious and fresh. No frozen poke! Small amount of parking. Outdoor seating only (2 large picnic tables). Variety of drinks in cans and bottles.

As someone with a high standard for seafood/Asian food I loved this! All their options were delicious and super tasty. Although it wasn’t a cheap meal ($18 for a bowl) the portion was decent and there was a good variety. I had the garlic and wasabi, special and seaweed and would recommend. Overall 100% worth the visit, I would recommend!

Apparently a very popular poke place. Cannot tell if the ingredients are especially good compared to the poke places in California. The taste is fine. The service is a bit rushy. Prices are reasonable.

There was already a line to the door within ten minutes of opening. The poke was fresh and cold, and we could see them preparing more poke behind the counter. The flavors of the poke were tasty and each morsel was savored. It was quite a tasty start to the day!

Amazing food and super fast service. Everything is clearly marked for gluten free. I was super excited for the seaweed salad and it did not disappoint. My only wish is that you could get salad greens instead of rice. Loved it and will definitely be back!

My first experience with proper poke and did not disappoint!!! This place is magical, the flavors are out of this world, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. Everything I tried here was just perfection. Thank you.

One of the best Poke Bowl we had for the trip! Great price point and the ahi is fresh and super flavourful! Will definitely come back here for the Poke Plate (good to share for two). The seaweed furikake on the rice adds the additional flavour to the whole meal!

Fresh-caught & incredibly delicious poke along with the usual side dishes! Poke bowls, poke plates, or buy it by the pound! Da Poke Shack's super friendly and accommodating staff will round out your delightful visit. Definitely worth the wait! 🤙🌺🌋

Got a poke plate as it was slightly cheaper than two poke bowls. Delicious but a bit pricey. We went at the end of the day, they only open Mon -Fri from 11-4 I think. So we got there before it closed and there were only 4 varieties to choose from. A bit expensive but good! Not really space to eat there, more a take out place.

Unfortunately we arrived a bit later in day (1 PM) and most of option was sold out. But even what we was able to get was really good! Definitely recommend go there earlier l, hopefully I will have chance stop by earlier to see full load and try it. Update: We went back after 3 days at 11 am and there was a plenty of options and absolutely delicious! So, highly recommended stop there earlier to pick one of your best poke on the island.

Food was limited due to the high volume of people. There was a little bit of a wait. Very fresh fish. The high turnover helps with that. Due to lots of customers they ran out of some options fairly quickly for the lunch time hour. Very limited seating was a few benches directly outside. The poke was very well seasoned and flavored. Overall decent experience. Limited parking all around so plan accordingly for that. The food however was good and overall with the limited inconvenience of parking, crowd, wait, limited seating, and quick selling out of items.

It’s amazingly good. The food tasted really fresh. Mostly order Togo as the space outdoor are always taken. Not in a really good parking or dinning friendly.

This is the first poke we had since arriving at Hawaii, so there is nothing else to compare to. However, the sheer quality of the ingredients should put this place among the top. We ordered a lot more than in the picture and enjoyed almost everything. The only thing I would not recommend is the spicy crab salad. Not that it’s bad, but other options are better.

Place had very fresh and tasty poke. Seaweed salad was tasty also. Fifteen minute parking was available. Seating on picnic tables surrounded by cute but hungry birds was available also.
