Phenomenal experience and very intimate. Don't let seemingly empty parking lot fool you. Restaraunt only serves a limited number at a time. We did food and wine pairing. Amazing evening. Food was so very good. Husband raving about his fish. I loved the lobster bisque and duck. Friends we were with loved their steak and fish. Creme brulee dessert soo good.

Intimate family owned restaurant! Amazing service from start to finish! My partner and I was hesitant to order food because we have never eaten frogs and rabbit before but the chef who was also our server told us not to fear! We are still dreaming of the sauce that the frog appetizer was in. Literally each dish topped each other! Will definitely be eating here again. It is a French Country Cuisine!

We had the Escargot, Foie Gras with Scallops, Baked Brie, Rack of Lamb, and Chocolate Souffle. Everything was 10/10. You can taste the expertise and love in every dish. Our top picks were the Foie Gras with Scallops and Rack of lamb. We will definitely come back each time we visit the Big Island!

Almost impossible to believe, but this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Maybe it's because I didn't expect such an incredible French restaurant to be on an island in the middle of the Pacific ocean, but after meeting the owner/chef and having her not only take our order, but then have her son as our waiter, you can tell she has poured her heart and soul into the restaurant. This is no better represented than the incredible food that was served, along with the ambiance, artwork, and the very intimate dining experience. As soon as you know you'll be on the big island, give them a call and get a reservation. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I dined here for our wedding anniversary. It was delicious. The atmosphere is very intimate the menu is very diverse. I had a creamy mushroom soup, frog legs and rabbit for dinner. My husband had filet mignon and a caesar salad. It was all delicious. Oh and the desert was divine. I love that it's a family run business. The owner served us along with her son. They were very attentive and made sure we were satisfied with everything. I highly recommend it.

Awesome experience. Extremely friendly staff, very small intimate setting. Staff was kind and involved, perfect service. Food was to die for. Duck and veal were cooked to perfection and the taste was beautiful. Wonderful cocktails as well. Would 100% go again.

This was a gift to us from family for our special occasion. They had the table decorated for us and were very friendly. We ended up getting the duck and the lamb. The food was absolutely amazing and extremely fancy. Prices are… well… pretty steep. Some of the things I would say are 4 dollar signs, not 3. We had a great experience!

Spectacular french cuisine. The appetizers were amazing, notably, the escargot (our table ordered 4 as no one was willing to share) and the frogs legs Provençal. Extensive wine list. Charming and gracious service.

A special hideaway. Step into a French transformation and be treated to amazing cuisine, beautifully presented with personal service from the head chef. It’s not often the head chef comes to discuss the menu with you prior to ordering. If you’re after something truely special, La Bourgogne will not disappoint. We loved our visit. Thank you to Cindy, Chris, David and Rhianna.

The best dining experience in Kona. We’ve been to 5 star restaurants that do not compare. The food is exemplary. The portions may seem small (if you are into quantity rather than quality, stay home), but the food is rich and delicious. The owner is gracious and does a magnificent job of pairing the perfect wine with each course. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. The food and wine pairing, as well as the regular menu, is worth every penny. Try it. If you like delicious food, you won’t be disappointed.

A true French dining experience without being fussy-fancy-pants. Take your time and savor every bite. Don't you dare rush! This is a calorie rich treat, make it worth it. Every ingredient was treated with care and cooked to perfection. The semi-annual cassoulet shows how divine a simple ingredient like beans can be with proper cookery, and the house-made duck confit could stand on its own. Each protein we tried was cooked precisely to the doneness we requested, and most if not all offer a choice of sauces. Unsurprisingly, the sauces are sumptuous and mate with their meats splendidly; it is French food after all. Save room for dessert. One member of your party must order the chocolate souffle - it takes awhile so you have to order it before the end of your meal. Just do it at the start so you don't forget. The creme brulee has a crisp crust and velvety custard. I can't imagine that there is anything less than spectacular on the menu, but sadly a single stomach can't afford to try everything, even if a bottomless wallet could. Savor your meal and your company at La Bourgogne. It is pricey but worth every penny.

This place was amazing. My wife and I called here on short notice for a reservation and they were more than accommodating. Chris impressed me from the moment he answered the phone to the last time I saw him with the check. Cindy was also equally amazing being able to explain the reasoning behind every pairing of wine to how she prepares every dish. These two were in and out checking on everything but were still making sure we had a nice dinner to enjoy each other. I was astonished by the level of service we got from a small family-owned restaurant. The food was exquisite, from the bread with whipped butter to the duck to the coffee. We will be back. I was concerned about spending $150+ tax and tip for a dinner but this amazing restaurant is 100% worth every penny.

A beautiful intimate dinner setting where you can speak quietly and still hear everyone at the table. Food, drinks and service were fantastic. The quality of the food was impeccable, and I look forward to eating there again soon. Merci Beaucoup!

We just had the most amazing experience tonight here. We were celebrating our honeymoon this week in Kona and we decided this was the restaurant we had to go to. It blew our expectations out of the water! Amazing people, amazing service and amazing food! This place alone is worth going to Kona for! Cindy and Chris were amazing! We will be back!

Superb cuisine, well worth the price point. Dining experience is intimate, and you get very personalized service in this family-operated restaurant. Due to smaller size, making a reservation is the courteous thing to do

Worst most expensive meal that I’ve ever had. I we walked in the restaurant and there was one other couple seated. We should’ve run. But instead, the waiter came, took our order for the first course. Came back one minute later to take our order for the second course. Came back a minute later to take the order for the third course. Came back another minute and took the fourth course. All before we were served anything. I guess the kitchen had time to pull things out of the refrigerator and microwave them. Definitely a huge disappointment.
