This shop is a small counter-service spot with some outdoor seating available. The bowl was cool and refreshing, and the fruit toppings were fresh, but the açai base was too sweet for my liking and was likely store bought — you couldn’t taste the sourness that you’d get with a fresh base. There was a lot of granola, but it was a quality mix. The small (16oz) bowl came out to a little over $12 which is the cheapest I’ve seen on the downtown kona strip. Service was very quick and polite — maybe only 3minutes between when I ordered and got my bowl. They also serve shaved ice and drinks, however I only tried the açai.

Love their Acai bowls! Best in Kona. It is a little hard to find since it is off the road. It is located south of Quinn's and east of the old Splashers Grill.

Really tasty coffee, açaí and shave ice. Quality, fresh ingredients only down to the honey drizzled on top. Best I’ve had in a very long time. They also have a lot of alternative milks (coconut, oat, almond, macadamia nut) love it!!! We’ve been going almost every morning for the açaí and coffee.

I tried the Kona wave bowl and kona wave latte - they were both amazing. Their acai portions are better than some others that I've tried so I definitely recommend this place. They also open early enough so that you can grab breakfast here before starting the day.

Absolutely refreshing and tasty! We got the island bowl. The fruit was fresh and the açaí was not too sweet. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go again. Mahalo

Best açaí bowl ever!!! Service was super quick and they had a small outdoor seating area. Parking extremely limited so best to park somewhere else and walk but it’s so worth it!!

Went here for breakfast and it was good. I had the kona wave latte and it was good. The right amount of sweet and smooth. I also tried to island acai bowl and absolutely loved it. The fruit in the top was sweet and ripe and complimented the acai and granola. My mom had agadao (sp?) which was their ice cream in coffee and she's obsessed lol. Definitely recommend especially if you're staying at any hotel near the Cafe.

I got an iced honey latte and an acai bowl and both were delicious! The large bowl was a great value and filled me up. Would definitely recommend checking this spot out while in Kona!

Good Açaí bowl but little pricey. $16 for 24oz

Great açaí bowl spot with small menu but everything we had was very good. Would stop at again!

Well, it was my first Açai Bowl. My honest review is that it is a bit expensive for what it is. We took the island bowl with papaya, strawberries and coconut sprinkles. Of course granola and açai mix for the small one it was 14$.

Our first time having an Acai Bowl and it was awesome. We had the Kona Wave Bowl, Monkey Bowl and Custom Bowl and all were so fresh and surprisingly light. Also had the Tropical Medley smoothie and Kona Wave Latte which were also really really good. Gonna go back tomorrow 😁. Enjoy.

Amazingly delicious açaí bowls. Little seating and outrageously expensive parking. But overall super worth it!

Tried out this place on my second last day of my trip to Hawaii and I only wish I had found it sooner. This was the 2nd bowl I had on the trip and it was fantastic. Traditional açaí bowl that tasted great. The fruit was on top and granola in the middle which helped with spreading and is always preferred. Prices were really fair with a 24 ounce bowl coming out to $14 and some change. The service was also really quick. With 4 people in line ahead of me I still ended up in and out in about 10 minutes. While I didn’t plan on getting Hawaiian shaved ice here I will certainly be returning for this. The shaved ice was huge and was pretty cheap for as much as you get. This place is the perfect stop for your cold sweet treat and very fair prices. 100% recommend.

Has literally the best acai bowls in Kona! Monkey bowl is out of this world! Coffee is also great. Very much satisfied!

Oh! My! Goodness! Gracious!!! So delicious! So many choices! Cutest little place!! As with any of the outdoor dining areas we were joined by the cutest little gecko 🦎!! We love coming to Kona Wave Cafe and will definitely be going back on our next visit to Kona!!! Keep up the great work!!! My mouth is watering thinking about our next visit!!! 🤤 🍨☀️🥰

The bowls were so good!! I feel like they are generous with their portions, especially with how much granola they give you. It’s $12 for a regular bowl, but then for an extra dollar you can get a large, I didn’t even up getting the large because it is huge for just me, but would recommend it for the price/value!

Delicious. Got the shaved iced. Volcano and a Mango one. It was amazing. It looked beautiful and tasted just as good. Get some lunch at Big Kahuna then stop here for dessert.

I can’t say enough good things about this shop. We had the island bowl and monkey bowl. They were both sooo good!! We’ve had acai bowls on every island now and these were the best! They are big and everything is super fresh. They give you a ton of acai and the amount of peanut butter on my monkey bowl was crazy. So good!! Their employees are also super friendly!

This is really just a hole in the wall but worth it! They have a few tables to sit on outside. I came to have an Açai Bowl and treated myself with a small Kona Wave Bowl. Very tasty and not too sweet! 😋 The only thing is that there are no parking spaces but it's in walking distance to the beach and you can stroll in the area.

Tasty açaí bowl! Base is blended with blueberry, not sour and lightly sweet. A lot of granola!!! Not sweet but crunchy! It’s like I’m eating a bowl of granola lol. I think it’s too much 😂😂😂 I ordered the monkey bowl with pineapple, goji berries and mochi. The pb is a lot as well! The most special thing is that I can add mochi in the bowl! Fruits are not very sweet, but fresh. Overall I like the taste and texture of the base but too much granola!
