The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a place that supposed to be catered towards children. As a mom of 4 and having previously worked at a children’s hospital, as well as a preschool teacher, there were no skills towards little children to help them feel welcome, safe and comfortable. It was my 4 year old’s first time to the dentist and she was a bit nervous, and nothing was done to help her feel comfortable. Over the phone they told me If my child was crying they would let me go with her to the back, but that was not the case in my experience. After they tried getting my daughter to go into the office by herself, and she wouldn’t, Dr Adam’s came out to the waiting room and rather than greeting my little girl with the warm smiles, reassurances and something to distract her from her nerves, Dr. Adams just said “come to the back and we can take pictures of your teeth and clean them”. My little one stood close to me all nervous, and then Dr Adams told me how I should have just waited in the car and let them grab her from there so it didn’t make the separating harder (which I am normally an advocate of, but not in a random dentists office for a little girls first time, and where I can’t even hear my child cry or scream- because they don’t even allow the adults to wait in the building). I don’t want the dentist to be a scary place for my kids so I didn’t make her go crying, I let her leave with me. Very disappointed in the service and lack of commitment to “let the parent come back if the child is crying”. We will not be coming back. If you are looking for a friendly dentist office that allows a parent to go back with a child, Hawaii Family Dental in Kihei is a great place!

Horrible experience. She is a pediatric dentist! She is neither warm nor compassionate. My three year old has cavities and she said nothing could be done for him, she won’t work on him because he had a bad dentist experience a few weeks ago, so naturally he’s scared. He was crying while she was working on his teeth (brushing and flossing and X-rays) I didn’t think that was a reason to not treat children. I left her office crying. The worst dentist experience I’ve ever had.

Love everything about Dr Cally Adams and the staff. They are nothing but friendly and professional people and they keep my son comfortable with there procedures. For the bigger serious procedures I love the fact that Dr Cally Adam’s goes to the hospitals to do it. As a parent of my son that had a to go to the hospital to have a procedure done, I feel very very comfortable knowing that there is a lot of medical professionals that can take care of my son. Overall I will highly recommend other people to go see Dr Cally Adams to get your kid’s teeth checked. She is Amazing!! Thank you Dr Cally Adams and staff!!

Been bringing my daughter to Cally since she was a year old. She is 7 now and has great teeth. She says she loves the stickers and prizes she gets after they clean her teeth. All good experiences for the most part, took issue with her early on for advising me to stop nursing because it “causes cavities”, but I ignored that advice because she was a baby… otherwise I agree with the recommendation of flossing and so far she has had zero cavities.

Took my 6 year old there because other dentists were booked, and didn't know about review removals, first off, the staff is really nice, but the dentist, Cally Adams, seemed nice, however I did find it odd how she couldn't look me in the eye when talking, kinda every where else as we spoke, no biggie... The kid has to go it alone, no parents in the office after appointment is made, no waiting rooms, only entry, wich I thought was odd, but maybe its so no witnesses if anything goes wrong, or I guess in our case, it's so she can speak in a derogatory manner to the kids. My daughter came out crying and afraid, when Cally and I spoke afterwards, again she couldnt make eye contact when speaking, wich seems shady, and when I finally got my daughter to calm down at home enough to tell me what was so bad, she told me the doctor cussed at her and made her feel scared! On top of a weird and traumatic experience, the work was bad. The crown came out, and the tooth was never filled! Huge cavity still present, inside of crown looks like a bunch of epoxy with air voids... NEVER GOING BACK, WISH THERE WAS A NEGATIVE STAR. Person should have practice shut down! Wonder if the good reviews are fake or paid.

My kids have gone to Dr. Cally since they were babies and so the thought of having to look for another dentist gives me uneasy feelings of looking for another good dentist. Iʻve had off-putting experiences with some dentist on Maui. One even worked on the wrong tooth and then charged me for it. Dr. Callyʻs office puts me at ease knowing my childrenʻs teeth and health are in great hands!

My 4yr has had a great experience with dr Adams. She is a straight shooter, knowledgeable, kind, and doesn’t waste time! Plus they take our insurance which most other dentist won’t deal with, which I appreciate. It is scary sending your toddler into the office solo but I understand the reasoning behind this. Our dance teacher and swim instructor follow the same procedures.

Exceptionally satisfied and proud of the outcome of my sons surgery. He's only 3 and even though I was very afraid of my son going under anesthesia, Dr. Adams made us feel very comfortable and educated on the procedure. Thank you again Dr. Adams🤙🏽

My children have been seeing Dr. Adams for years! Staff are always friendly and great with my special needs child. Most recently my child had a procedure done at the hospital and Dr. Adams took the time to make sure I knew exactly what to expect and provided follow up call to make sure my child was doing well. Great Pediatric dentist!!

If I based our first experience off of a telephone encounter and the reviews I've read here, I could easily jump on the bandwagon BUT I'm not and I won't. We loved our last dentist and Dr Cally came highly recommended by him when we had an unexpected insurance change. Today was our first visit for the 7 year old and neither he nor I have any complaints. Friendly staff took him in explaining to him what was going to happen while in office then Dr Cally brought him out to explain to me what was done and what the follow up plan would be. Her follow up plan included an area that I hadn't even had a chance to speak to her about... So like I said, no complaints. Thank you Dr Cally!

My daughter came out scared and intimidated. The doctor asked her to close her mouth and she didn't. He closed it well, he told me that I squeezed it in a bad way, as a children's doctor he has to take care of how he treats them and I've already looked at it. very bad experiences of other patient

The staff and Dr. Cally Adams are always friendly and always provides exceptional service! My son loves going here. I highly recommend them for dental services for your keiki.

Dr.Adams was very quick and efficient. Dr.Adams did an excellent job before surgery, during surgery and after surgery. I'm very pleased with my daughter's procedure. I know that future visits with Dr.Adams will be also excellent because of the professionalism and care Dr.Adams has given to my child.

This dentist is extremely unprofessional. She doesn’t understand the line between a parent and a provider, you are not my friend to tell me about my child’s behavior nor are you a daycare provider. I entrust you to provide dental care to my children, not to tell me how to parent. She has a rule that you can’t bring your children in the back so that she can have control of the entire situation. Disgusting ideology not only as a pediatric dentist but as an individual. If she is a mother, I would think she would understand being your child’s number one comfort, especially during an uncomfortable time like getting your teeth cleaned. She works in this industry not because she cares about providing good patient dental care but for the money. I’ve heard many many of the same stories about this provider towards children. Instead of offering a solution or taking in these reviews for personal review, she obviously replies with ignorance and trash humor. It’s funny to her that people are dissatisfied with her care and are bother by her lack of compassion and empathy. Do not bring your children to her unless they are able to advocate for themselves because she will take advantage if not.

We love Dr. Adams. She provides a clean workspace for small patients and cool and clean waiting room for parents. Her office staff is always so nice and efficient. Dr. Adams puts safety and care first when it comes to her young patients. Despite reading questionable reviews online that intially worried me I have been very pleased with the care my child receives whenever at her clinic. She is experienced and knows what she talking about. She is time efficient and always talks to me about my childs progress and plan after each visit. We are very happy to be patients of Dr Adams. Im glad i didn't listen to any bad reviews. She is a very good dentist and she has reasonable requests when at her clinc.

I do love Dr. Cally because I was surprised today my son not crying. And when he finished and get in the car he is so really happy...i do recommend Dr. Cally, she is so really nice and her assistant, likewise the front desk lady..

I was a little anxious for today’s visit as it is my 5-year-old’s first visit with Dr. Adams. We had a different dentist prior Dr. Adams and parents were allowed to go in with every visit and I’m happy that I can see how they deal with children with love and respect and that’s what I’m used to. Today’s visit was okay since they said my son did good without me but I would be more happy and satisfied if I’m inside at least just by the door during procedure. I appreciate everyone’s job on helping our children’s health. For now I will just send my kids every visit with good thoughts while I wait outside the building.

I’m so glad that I took my daughter to Cally L Adams,DDS,LLC.Because they provide good service.They make our appointment right away. We don’t even have to be Waite for a month. My daughter like it there because they know how to make the kids not to scare.

My kids loved going to her and being there they are usually shy and Affraid to go into places with out me. But it was really nice to see them take to her. The service of her staff is excellent as a first time customer I will recommend her.shall Dr. Cally Adams

One of the best pediatric dentists and is the only one my son has seen on Maui. Dr. Adam's always supportive of and caring for my son's needs. Also always punctual and offers good feedback. Overall, Dr. Adams is great with him and my son has been going to see her since he was a baby and he will continue to until he gets too big! :)

I have 4 kids under 5 and was so happy to find Cally. The routine they use from when you check in works great for kids, especially ones that fear the dentist. She's calm and kind as well as her staff. She has made each trip stress free and I am so thankful!
