Very tasty baked goods. Try the Pretzel Croissants. Staff is nice enough. Usually a big line up. Go early. Brownies are really dry and cookies don’t have that much flavour.

I had never stuck my entire face inside a paper bag just to inhale the smell of a warm loaf of Hawaiian bread, but the sweet, sweet smell of coconut, carrot, pineapple, and raisin was too much for me to resist. It was absolutely surreal experience. Maui Bread was a pleasant surprise that I wish I had discovered earlier during our vacation. Fresh breads. Pastries. Cinnamon rolls. Other baked goods. However, that modest little $7 loaf of Hawaiian bread was one one of the single most delicious things I consumed all week. No joke. Please keep up the amazing work. I’ll definitely be back.

Great quality bread bakery. We got the pog bread, pineapple bread and lilikoi bread. The lilikoi bread filling was very generous. The coconut milk coffee was perfect and not too sweet or acidic The pog juice was fresh, not diluted, and not overly sweet. The owners are friendly. Perfect Hawaiin bakery. Update: Came back again and got the almond croissant. It was delicious! Perfectly crispy and tender. The almond butter inside is fragrant and not too sweet. Nice shady spot outside to chat and enjoy a morning coffee. Bought some guava butter as gifts for friends kitty sitting.

This bakery is wonderful!! My daughters will dream about pretzel baguettes long after we leave Maui. The pretzel croissant is truly unique and delicious, and the Hawaiian muffin was heavenly. Do NOT miss the collection of jams and butters made locally on the island. Worth every penny—we are taking some home as souvenirs. What makes this bakery truly special are the women who run it. Elfie is a treasure and was so kind to us and to our daughters—Kristin also is a joy. Worth multiple visits!

What's not to like about freshly baked pastries? I had a pina colada sweet bun, it was very tasty. They have a selection of gluten free stuff too, if you're looking for that.

AWESOME bakery!!! Very clean and inviting. Genuinely European. Although the space is small, it was set up nicely, making it easy to browse their offerings. No espresso, but drip coffee is available. For me, the most outstanding sweet thing I tried was the Hawaiian Bread. It was moist, had the right level of sweetness, and a had a wonderful variety of fruits baked in. Way more enjoyable than say, Panettone. Although it's not shown in my photo, I also bought a couple of spelt rolls, which were fantastic. Maui Bread isn't open every day, so check their schedule beforehand. We will definitely return!!!!

We tried some different cakes and they were good. The bread was very good but the condiments could be better: for example, the lilikoi was too much sweet, and the apple cream was a little dry. The inside of the place is clean and bright, and you can determine what do you want to eat while you're waiting in the queue to order. The personnel was very nice!! If I would live here I'd often come here just for the friendly treatment 😁

It was all good - they are known for Bavarian style croissant which is a must - the coconut muffin w sweet crumble was a winner too

Best breakfast on Maui! A German bakery that makes traditional breads and pastries (crusty bread loaves, almond and chocolate croissants) as well as creative ones with local Hawaiian flavors (lilikoi filled brioche, macadamia nut muffins). Everything is fresh, artfully made, and balanced in flavor. The master baker has a very good technique and makes impressive baked goods. The owner is charming and friendly, making it a pleasure to visit. This is a must visit for any trip to Maui!

My mom visited Maui a few months ago and recommended this bakery. We tried it this week and it was amazing!! I can’t believe we haven’t been here sooner. We loved the cinnamon rolls. The employee working was so kind and friendly. Not sure if she was the owner but either way we higher recommend this bakery!

Sadly we arrived at 1130 after the last gluten free bread was sold. They did have a gluten free macadamia nut coconut cookie that was amazing - almost like biscotti. My husband went back for a second one to take home. The gf Ube Mache (purple sweet potato) was good. The gf banana bread was good and even better with the creamery fresh butter. The gf lemon machi was too sweet for me but my Husband seemed into it. I had a traditional roll with sesame seeds which was good with the butter and a cup of very decent coffee. My husband’s coconut coffee was very good and did not need any additional sweetener. Go early for the best selection as with any popular bakery.

Stopped in for breakfast pastries before heading off to the beach. Best item was the Hawaiian muffin (coconut/pineapple), pineapple loaf/bread was good, tasted like a lemon poppyseed with pineapple, and the pretzel items were solid. Definitely go if you’re in Kihei.

Maui Bread was the culinary highlight of our trip. The almond croissant was heavenly with the perfect balance of softness/crispiness/sweetness. The Hawaiian muffin was almost as light as angel cake. The German pretzel and baguettes were each a perfect snack. I doubt you could find a pretzel croissant anywhere else in this world...especially one this good. We can't wait to return.

Delicious German bakery! I wanted all the carbs - everything looked amazing. Cookies the size of your face, breads (pog looked interesting), mochi (ube), brownies, honeys, the list goes on. One friend got a pretzel baguette and even that was delicious!

Great selection of German and Hawaiian baked goods. I especially loved the pretzel croissant! Also don't forget to try the Ube (purple yam) butter

The best pretzel and pretzel croissant in the world. This is our go to spot when we are in Kihei. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The cookies are also amazing!

Absolutely lovely bakery to visit. Very clean modern warm ambience. Parking lot available. My top favorite is the Hawaiian Bread - Macnut, coconut, raisins, pineapple, and carrots. Super moist and perfect amount of sweetness (not overly sweet) with plenty of the ingredients included (no skimping). I also ordered POG Bread - Passion fruit, Orange, & Guava - this is very nice soft bouncy moist bread. I recommend any of the the Hawaiian artisan breads. I brought these back to mainland to share with friends. They loved it. I also loved their Cold Brew with Coconut Milk and Orange, Carrot, & Pineapple (cannot remember for sure which fruits added) fresh juice. They have an amazing selection of jams and several pastries. I selected the Lilikoi Donut - nice fluffy and good amount of the Lilikoi jam inside. It was a delicious treat. One other item I ordered for my husband is the pineapple ham twist roll. He told me it was just okay because he tasted mainly bread and minimal ham and pineapple. Second thing, I wished there was a vegetarian savory twist roll/pastry. All the options had meat.

One of the best German Bakeries in the US! The Pretzels are so delicious and the staff is super friendly. Thank you Stephan for the Cocosmakronen (coconut macaroons), super yummy as well. Highly recommended.

They got the sweet and the savory! Plenty of options for breakfast. My fave is the POG bread and hotdog croissant. Go early, they tend to sell out of the good stuff.
