Had
a
reservation
for
6.
Lots
of
space
and
nice
open
footprint.
Fine
details
like
herb
garden
beds
table
side
are
a
nice,
unexpected
touch
to
add
to
the
low-key,
laid
back
ambiance.
Food
is
what
to
expect
from
Roy's
-
superb
tasting
and
comparable
price
point
to
other
area
eateries!
Same
kid's
salmon
my
2
year
old
has
come
to
love
(same
consistency
as
Roy's
Ko
'Olina)
-
quesadilla
w/
fruit
&
veggie
starter,
salmon
main
and
cookie
and
ice
cream
dessert
all
for
$15.
Although
the
wait
times
were
long,
I
will
say
that
we
were
very
grateful
they
brought
out
the
kid's
meal
expeditiously.
In
addition
to
the
kids
meal,
our
order
consisted
of
the
market
fish
sandwich
which
was
a
mahi-katsu
topped
with
bacon
and
coleslaw,
side
salad
for
$19,
a
Goen
Greens
salad
with
the
filet
also
$19,
an
impossible
burger,
Goen
brunch-plate
(Portuguese
Sausage,
Eggs
and
Potatoes)
and
the
poke.
The
refills
on
drinks
were
probably
the
slowest
-
and
with
open
outdoor
seating,
the
heat
and
humidity
make
drinks
and
absolute
must.
Water
comes
in
self-serve
pitchers
so
must
ask
for
ice.
The
filet
isn't
like
Morton's
or
Ruth's
Chris
with
that
salty,
buttery
melt-in-your
mouth
and
was
instead
more
gamey,
perhaps
from
being
local
grass-fed.
A
good
complement
to
the
salad
but
would
not
hold
it's
own
as
a
standalone.
Overall
though,
the
food
was
delicious
and
we
paid
compliments
to
our
chef.
Price
is
reasonable.
So
our
rating
primarily
reflects
the
slow
service
-
our
wait
staff
were
highly
personable
but
for
an
empty
restaurant,
the
wait
was
exceptionally
long.
