Loved the gym but the management is poor with their communication responsiveness. Recommend when trying to put membership on hold or cancel that you cancel your credit card and get a new number because they seem to have an issue with refunding charges that should not have been put on the account as well as charging after communication has been submitted for putting on hold or canceling. This is after many attempts at getting corrected. I will be encouraging corporate to look into getting new management in place.

The gym is new and spacious, but that doesn't change the fact that their management team lacks any skill in customer service. After trying to get Bobby Serrano or Tina Kuhaulua to respond for a week to email, phone calls and even in-person visits to the gym (where management stayed in the office - where I can see them from the front desk - and made the front desk staff relay messages), I am not any closer to resolving my issue. Corporate will direct you back to your local gym, so that doesn't help either.

I am So conflicted writing this. Positive notes- The trainers and coaches are AMAZING! They truly make this gym worth it. Chase is one of the best personal trainers I have ever seen. He is knowledgeable and motivating. I recommend him 100%. I have been in the gym religiously for about 4-5 years now, and I learned a lot from him in just a few short months and saw so much progress! Becca is another trainer who is awesome. Great attitude, helpful and will answer any question you have. Kehkoa is a trainer and massage therapist. I have had massages all over the world for the last 8 years, and he is one of the best I have ever had. I learned more from him about my neck/back pain than any of my physical therapists. Negative side- Pricy, but sometimes they have deals. Crowded & not enough squat racks. Freezing/Billing- They are quick to take money, but it takes a lot to get someone to respond to you if there is an issue with it. I had major surgery on my wrist and have a doctor's note to cancel. I emailed it, never received a reply back. I have called, and most of the time, no one answers, and you can't leave a message because the voicemail is full, and I have even texted two other people about it with ZERO response. Overall, The trainers, coaches and massage therapist make it worth it. Other than that, it's just another busy and pricey gym.

Sadly I had to climb the stairs but not to work out , to cancel my membership because I was diagnosed with cancer , I had been a member for years . So this day I went to cancel and two gentlemen working told me they couldn’t help me because “ they’re understaffed and everything is now done online “ . So what is the purpose of you being here ? I wasn’t told to go online when UFC was taking my money to join . I was brushed off because I look the part of a cancer patient and not the epitome of shining health anymore. Poor staff etiquette 💯

They are so quick to bother you with calls when signing you up for membership yet won’t call you back for weeks when you need a billing issue fixed or want to unfreeze memberships. I’m currently paying the rest of the month but the gym won’t unfreeze my membership. I’ve been waiting a week for a call back and I’ve been the one needing to remind them I’m still paying for a gym I can’t even use. I’m so frustrated with the experience at this gym Location

I absolutely love this place!! So much for everyone at all fitness levels!! The gym area is Massive and even on busy days you’re not crowded and don’t wait long (if at all) for equipment!! The Classes are phenomenal with Awesome Instructors!! My personal Favs are the Circuit Breaker Class & Boxing Conditioning Class👌 I’m also a heavy lifter (for a Girl😉) and love the Platform area!! 🏋️‍♀️ Childcare is on point and I have 4 kids Ages 9, 8, 6, 3. The 3 year old goes everyday with me and is known -by name- just walking through the door by all the ladies!! (For Good Reasons I Hope 🤔) Anyways...Super Friendly Atmosphere and All Around Good People!!!

Been a member here for 9 months, gotten to use the power racks 1 month out of these 9. They went down for "construction" about a month after I joined. They said it would be a few weeks before they are back, they are still down. Poor communication and bad management. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE INTO POWER LIFTING. I have sent in a multitude of emails which have not been responded to and every time I ask the gym staff why they are still down or when they will be back, I get a slew of different answers.

One of the worst gyms I’ve seen. Expensive, crowded always, machines are really bad for muscle building, not enough benches, light placement is awful, too many cardio machines, no squat or deadlifting really at all. Pretty small too only gym I can go to but it’s god awful. Like why is there only 3-4 flat benches and two adjustable inclines it makes no sense. Sometimes I go and can’t even workout and have to go home and wait till later.

Another Sunday morning and no one is here to open the gym! There is a group of 10 customers waiting outside. The gym opens at six. This seems to be a common trend here. I checked their social media page and nothing is saying they are not opening on time. The security said they should have been here at 5:30. What a joke!

I am unfortunately dissatisfied with UFC Gym Kailua, where I have spent thousands of dollars on memberships for my family. Our initial experience was positive, but we've recently faced several issues, particularly with the kids' classes. We were assured by the sales team that our children would fit well in the classes and that their age and maturity level would not be an issue. However, after paying annual fees, signup fees, first and last monthly fees, the trainers raised concerns about their age, contradicting what the sales person told us. We brought this issue to Mike, the manager, who promised to schedule and perform an assessment of whether our kids were suitable for the classes and mentioned a refund if not. Unfortunately, this follow-up and assessment never happened. Even after a follow-up with Mike, who seemed to acknowledge the oversight, there's been no progress. Further, we've encountered additional problems with the class instructors who have rolled their eyes at my wife at her insistence that they have a membership and were told they could join the kids classes. They have also refused to allow the kids into the class on one occasion. Repeated attempts to reach Mike for a resolution have led to promised call-backs that never materialize. I'm hopeful for a resolution and an opportunity to update this review positively, pending Mike's response. So far I would not recommend signing up your kids at this gym. While I may be wrong, I am getting the impression for a number of other reason that this gym uses sleazy sales tactics and dodges complaints to avoid dealing with their unmet promises.

I was with this gym for alittle over a year and loved it. I canceled my membership back in March and now in July and this month they started taking money again. They have been less than helpful with resolving this issue.

I've been requesting to cancel and refund since March 30th. I requested in person 2x via email 3x over the phone SO MANY TIMES. Then I contacted corporate on the 3rd of September and here we are the 22nd of September and I'm getting are "It's coming" and excuses why the time line keeps getting longer. The gym was nice but the cancelation policy is fraudulent. No other way to put it after 6months.

I like this place, yhe gym is generally clean and has functional equipment. However, I do have some issues with hours and being open during posted times. Weekend times particularly suffer. I've shown up at opening time only to find they won't open for an additional hour or so, with numerous people waiting in the parking lot. This can be a big inconvenience. Additionally, within the gym I find that the personal trainers ("coaches") often often monopolize large spaces or pieces of equipment for their clients. I've seen this sometimes to be large areas of the gym, and not just for general classes. I get it, it's a big money maker, but also very inconvenient for other members, and can sometimes throw off what I'd planned to do that day in the gym. the only thing that really keeps me from switching gyms is a lack of local competition.

Caitlin is the best! I would recommend her to anyone who really cares about achieving their fitness goals—especially when it comes to lifting with proper form and getting a personalized program that is pushes you to grow but doesn’t lead to burnout. She is encouraging, fun to work with knowledgeable, and and best of all walks the talk. By far the best personal trainer I’ve ever gotten to work with. Also, I came into boxing with 0 experience and felt nervous about my inexperience. Elvin was always encouraging, caring and a pleasure to work with. He taught me so much about boxing and helped me to increase my fitness! I’m really grateful I got to learn from him.

*Read this before you join* Ufc gym Kailua has no moral compass when it comes to money. In 2021 I provided a deployment verification letter which I was assured by Robert Serrano that my membership would be frozen for the duration of my deployment. Fast forward mid deployment I noticed they had been charging me for every month. Unable to contact management who seems to only work when it is convenient to them, I was forced to pay my monthly bill. Fast forward again, I get orders to change duty stations. I try talking to management every time I went to go work out and they were no where to be found. Now ufc gym graciously blows my phone up about past due payments. Unable to contact them due to training exercises I called them as soon as I could. They want me to pay the full bill and neglect to take any responsibility for their actions and just want as much money as they can scrounge around for. Overall, horrible management and total neglect for respecting customers.

I had the pleasure of working with coach Joleen at the end of 2022 for a series of PT sessions. Joleen was super knowledgable, answered my (many) questions to help me understand various elements and improve my training. Being a new mom, having Joleen's support to design training sessions to help me re-build my core strength was invaluable! Joleen was great at pushing me to do things I wouldn't have thought I could do otherwise, while also being understanding when I truly hit my limits. I only wish I could have worked with Joleen for longer before we moved off island! Thank you Coach Joleen for all of your support and encouragement :D

You are paying a premium vs other gyms... But basic things are missing. - 1 EZ curl bar for the entire gym - so few benches that you are always waiting - far too much cardio equipment that takes up floor space for everything else. I have never waited for a treadmill, stair machine, bike, or elliptical... but I ALWAYS have to wait for a bench, free weights, and machines. Reallocate space and buy more weight equipment. - No sauna All you need to do is look at where people are and what they are using and it's easy to see that equipment and money are misallocated.

Sunday 9-23-2023, way after pandemic this gym is telling twenty to thirty gym members five minutes to 7PM . Re rack your weights we close in five minutes. Then 1 minute to 7PM, the staff shuts off all the lights on the gym floor making it hard for twenty to thirty people to see their way out of gym. Making it a hazard to trip over something. They are not just blinking the lights. Missing those seven days a week longer hours. Saturday and Sunday seem to be favorite days to work out. Missing a former gym with 24 hour seven days a week . The plus about this gym still is the nice rest rooms. And lots of cleaning supplies around for members and staff. Friendly staff.

I have the same story as the previous post! Either UFC gym is committing fraud or just completely inept at management and accounting. Don’t give them your credit card information! I signed the membership cancellation papers early last year (2020), was free and clear from my membership, and just now received a random charge on my card. I have contacted them multiple times to get this resolved and they’ve basically ignored me and told me I had to submit and claim and do all this legwork to correct the fraudulent charge. I cancelled my membership a year ago! Management is unhelpful and customer service is terrible.

I really like this gym. Tons of classes, good equipment, clean environment. I recommend Josh for personal training. I have some unique requirements and he put a lot of effort into thinking about and accommodating those. They often have discounts on training packages. They benefit a lot from location as there is ample parking and it’s next to a lot of restaurants, Longs, and two of the healthier grocery store chains.

I have been training with Coach Kiana Blankenfeld (@surfmama_kiana) for the last year and it/she has been life changing for me! She has built my confidence in the gym like no other Coach. She's accountable, motivating, organized, dedicated, and just a straight up bada$$ human being. She treats the gym as if it's her own. Organizing what's already there, bringing in new equipment, along with unique classes (like her Surfset class - I've never seen that at another gym). If you are looking for a Coach, consider this your sign. All of my friends I've sent her way feel exactly the same as I do! She is able to meet you where you are at and then guide you to where you want to be, at a reasonable yet challenging pace. I feel like a different person and am eager for what's to come by working with Coach Kiana.

Try it out for two weeks free and then figure out if its worth it to you. For me, I dropped $750 for some 1on1 coaching sessions and initiation fees which was kind of pricey but its mainly for the experience and knowledge gained is what u pay for in my eyes. Other than that Parking is great. Staff is great. Overall gym is great with a lot of equipment plus a kids center for families. See what they have to offer you then sign up instead of agreeing then cancelling. Be sure that this is the place where you can gain whatever it is you want to gain.

The classes are great with skilled instructors and sweet mma options. The gym is clean and the equipment is high quality. It’s got a great atmosphere, big enough to do your own thing if you want but small enough to feel like a part of a community if you want to be. Joining was easy and the manager Robert Serrano made it super easy and was very personable.

Great cardio to even enter this gym. They have EVERYTHING for a killer workout. It’s humid in there as well so it doesn’t take much to start sweating and keep that sweat for your whole workout. The music was on point (even though I wear headphones) $50 in retail purchases gets your week membership covered.

  • 4/5 Aaron Y. 6 months ago on Google
Definitely the best gym on the Windward side but that comes with the downside of being extremely packed during normal peak hours 4pm-7pm M-F. Other than that nothing to complain about, energy is great and everyone is very friendly. They could definitely benefit from opening another similar location in Kaneohe.

  • 5/5 Gianny 7 months ago on Google
UFC’s DUT and boxing class is so great and keeps me accountable. But now.. along with that, I’m going to Coach NIKKI’s semi-private BOOTY SCULPTING 90 day class and it’s amazing! She helps your form every step of the way and the class is small enough so she can watch and improve your form. Great attention to detail, high reps, and before and after pics to see your progress at the end of the 3 month class. She’s so strong and motivating!

  • 4/5 La C. 5 years ago on Google
Great location! My favorite feature is the kids club, they will watch as early as 6mths! And the kids club hours run basically the whole time the gyms open. Parking will be rough on Thursday nights due to the kailua farmers market so go earlier to see if you have to park further away. Wish they ran early morning (before 9a ) classes on the weekends so I could sneak in before weekend festivities

UFC gym at Kailua has friendly staff, clean facilities and their weights are always where they need to be. Having access to Self-myofascial release instruments like foam rollers and massagers is a great benefit. They also have hydro beds which are amazing after a tough workout. I haven’t used their personal training but from what I’ve observed, they are on point and know what they are doing. Overall, I would recommend this gym.

Very nice, single story gym. They've got a turf, small mat area, and kids workout areas, but no octagon like other gyms. This gym is smallish, but feels spacious with big windows and a very open anesthetic. I liked the sound system too - it's got punchy bass and great clarity. As for equipment, expect 2 flat and one incline bench, along with several benches for dumbbell training. Only two platforms, and two Smith machines, but they don't have a lot more space to work with. All the basic machines are present as well, including tons of bicycles, treadmills, and stairmasters for cardio. Last but not least, facilities are beautiful and upscale-feeling. Even the rubberized ground feels extra bouncy and the lockers have a nice laminate finish.

I've heard some negative things about the UFC gym brand in general, but I must say that I am so impressed so far with this gym. It can get crowded on weekday evenings, but I've never felt it was overbearable. Probably because it's so new, but the gym equipment and locker room are in top shape, and to me, all of the staff have been so friendly and helpful. I love the classes, some of their DUT coaches are fantastic, and the boxing conditioning classes are great too. I hope this gym keeps up its standards, because right now, I love it.

My wife and I enjoyed the UFC Kailua location while we had our membership, but we're very disappointed with the gym now because they won't refund money they owe us. In August, I ended our membership to save $$. UFC then charged us in Nov. for monthly dues. I contacted the gym immediately to make sure our membership was cancelled and a refund sent. It has now been 2 months, and UFC STILL HAS NOT refunded what we were illegally charged. It's not a ton of money, but it's the principal that UFC won't or can't handle their business professionally. I would seriously question financial commitments with UFC.

UFC Kailua is very clean, open and has a lot of natural light coming into their space. Its on the second floor which is fine, you can get a pre warm-up walking up the stairs or there is a elevator. Theres lots of parking. I enjoy working out here. I have gone to the UFC waipahu before prefer Kailua instead because of how bright it is. They have all the equipment you would expect from the UFC gyms but they do not have octagon which I personally feel is fine, but I know a lot of others would not be happy.
