Soft white sand and shallow water, ideal for kids and a beautiful flat beach to walk along for a ling way. On a windy day you can be very exposed. Ideal for windsurfing sports and fun to watch. Big parking lot, washrooms with change area and outdoor shower. A great little food market down the road before you enter parking lit, including take out.

We found this during my research of beaches to stop at on a drive around the island. The parking lot is decently sized, but it has a good turn around so there are always people coming and going. This beach and area is very beautiful, with soft white sand beaches, and turquoise waters. The ocean floor was very soft and had gentle waves. Looking up and down the beach, there were scenic views. This is a very popular place as we saw some wind/kite surfers, and loads of people relaxing and enjoying their beach day. We walked up and down and got in the ocean for a little bit. We wish we had more time to spend here. On our next visit, we will definitely be back and will be dedicating a beach day here.

It a beautiful beach with a great beach. There are limited parking spots available but should get here early morning ( around 7-8am). There are washrooms, and showers on the beach too. I don’t think it’s a good place for snorkeling though. A beautiful road to get here

Wonderful beach. Very peaceful if you get there early. Breathtaking views surround the beach park. Hopefully you can catch the kite surfers! So cool! There is also a little market as you turn into the access road if you want to grab snacks or sandwiches to take. Be nice!

We love Kailua Beach! Compared to some of the other beaches around the island, Kailua is a bit quieter and definitely less crowded. Plus, the people at the beach are more relaxed. The views all the way around are also incredibly serene! Out of all the beaches that we've visited on the island so far, this one is our favorite. PS. For those looking to bring their dogs to the beach, there were signs about animals being prohibited; however, as we walked the beach, we saw quite a few dogs running around. It seems like the vibe is more "be respectful and keep your dog on a leash" than anything else. Just to keep in mind :)

Great beach! Perfect for younger kids to play in the sand, and the waves are calm. There is lots of shade!!! The sand is soft, and it's not too crowded. There is a parking lot so there is easy access

This beach is awesome. So calm and clean and not to many people. A great place for quiet and enjoying. They also have a free parking lot and restrooms nearby.

Absolutely gorgeous beach!! Fine,0 white, sand and that beautiful aquamarine water that Hawaii is known for... Dog and family friendly. Parking can be a challenge but people are constantly coming and going so if you have some patience you'll get a spot after a short wait. Great place for wind surfing, if that's your thing! They have a designated launch area for wind crafts and canoes. Always check the calendar for portuguese man-of-war... Their arrival is quite predictable; they usually arrive around 9-12 days after a full moon (but occasionally they have been observed on off-cycle days as well).

This beach is beautiful with gentle waves. I’ve been to a few beaches in Oahu and this one has got to be one of the best. The water is clear and super blue—downside is the bathrooms are kind of dirty but at least it’s steps away from the beach. Also has clean water outside the bathrooms to wash off. We went around 1 PM and the parking was completely full. Although there are a couple parking lots, they’re very small and most of the time people try to park on the side of the road. We got lucky as another car left, so you might have to keep driving around until you get lucky as well. Definitely worth all the hassle though.

This is a beautiful, clean beach with a long amount of coastline. It's also a beach great for all ages. Parking will be full if you come too late in the afternoon. There are bathrooms, showers, and a rinse off station at the top of the sand. There's a market here also. I'd advise wearing water shoes, because once you're about 10 feet into the water, there are rocks in the sand that you can easily slip on and hurt yourself. The waves are gentle, but get stronger the farther out you go, which made it great for the windsurfers. It was great to come here and get away from the crowds of Waikiki Beach without having to drive for an hour like we did going to North Shore. It was also a great way to cool off after the Lanikai Pillbox hike.

My son Warren, wanted to come to this beach and I'm so glad he did I usually hate beaches! I don't like sand but I come to the beaches for my wife who loves sand and water. We came to this beach found a perfect spot with shade where there wasn't too much sand. They set my chair up. And for 6 hours I sat in splendor and amazement. The breeze was amazing, the beach was not that crowded, and it was just awesome all around. My suggestion is that you buy food to bring with you because there was no place around to buy food. There is a steakhouse across the street. The only thing available for miles around. But the beach is splendid!

5 Star beach suitable for families and surf sports. Sea, sun and sand with amenities and good parking whats not to like about this location. Washrooms for changing include outdoor showers (could do with more routine cleaning). A beautiful spot to visit and relax even if it is on the way to another location.

It is the best beach within short-driving distance near Waikiki. Depending on the time of the day, parking might be a little tough to get, but be patient, if the parking lot is full, one can park on the dirt lot on the other side of street. Just follow others. The water is super nice. There are several activities for beach goers: sun-bathing, swimming, canoeing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing. If lucky, one can view turtle playing with waves. The park has restroom, shower.

This is the first beach I visited on my first trip to Hawaii and it did not disappoint the water is crystal clear and beautiful. A very short walk away from the beach are bathrooms & parking. I would recommend going all the way down to the end on the right side of the beach to avoid the crowds but you will need to get there early because there are not many parking spaces in that lot.

It's a beach in Hawaii, that's almost enough to get five stars all by itself...but the beach was clean, the water beautiful. We went to the island on kayaks, what a blast. We went with the Twogood Kayaks crew, highly recommended.

One of the nicest beach I have been to in Hawaii. The sand is white and fine, and the water was warm/cool when we were here in August. The waves aren’t huge but there are plenty of activities to do. You can snorkel 50-70 ft right off the beach, and we even spotted two turtles. Kayaking to the nearby islands or mountain is also popular but we couldn’t get a kayak since we didn’t reserve one in advance.

This place has become one of my favorite places on Earth. It gets a bit populated at times which is a testament to its beauty and charm. It's very relaxing and a great place to paddle board. Bird Island is close enough to paddle board to it in a few minutes.

The ocean was so peaceful, but yet turquoise. The parking is just enough to have a limited amount of people at this beautiful hideaway. My brothers and I bodyboarded, snorkeled and swam for over an hour. To be honest definitely was a highlight of the day. I highly recommend it Follow @younginvent on all platforms for more

LOVED this park! Started the day here. Sat on a bench in the shade and watched the beach come alive. This beach has a little something for everyone - sun, shade, swimming, snorkeling. Lots of kayaks and paddle boards too. Plenty of parking. If you're headed to Lanikai better off to try and park here and walk over.
