I always enjoy walking the beach in the morning with a cup of coffee from the Kalapawai Market. Some of the best coffees and lattes on the island. Bring your own cup and save some $. They also have a frequent buyers card that are great if you plan on stopping by several times.

This place has been open since 1932 which is very impressive. It's a market and they also have a deli in the back where they serve sandwiches, tacos and other cooked food items. The location is perfect as its right by Kailua Beach, you can grab some food and drinks and head over to the beach. They also have an outdoor seating area with limited seating where you can eat. This place is overpriced but convenient.

Great little neighborhood Corner market. Reasonable pricing. I need my coffee in the morning and need flavored creamer, and they have it. Breakfast was simple and good. Have a lot of grab and go items. Good amount of seating on side of building to consume.

Very local friendly place. You can get breakfast, coffee, and that’s not all. Definitely a place to see if you’re down In Kailua beach. Good prices and different choices. They also have a selection of wines, fresh, breads, and different foods. They have T-shirts, and some souvenirs Jewelery.

Fantastic beach side market and deli. We tried the pizza which is a thin crust. The French dip which was pretty solid and Da Skinny which is a Hawaiian Pulled Pork. Highly recommend them all.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend this gem enough. You will not regret stopping here.

A tasty and straightforward French dip sandwich that held up well as a take out option. A little pricey, but what isn't these days. Their bread to meat ratio is pretty good and their Au Jus is excellent and comes in a container that is easy to actually dip that ono Sandwich. The bread itself has a good crisp, (slight crunch but not rock hard) and is not overly chewy holds up well when you dip too. The shaved beef is well seasoned and the cheese is not overpowering that makes for a perfect lunchtime choice. Just wish they had shoestring or other thin type french fries as well. Now that would be perfection.

Hiding in plain sight! Deli inside at the back…super fresh and delish! We had a turkey cranberry sandwich, a blackened fresh catch wrap (swordfish today), a pasta salad portion and a hummus veggie wrap. Would definitely go back! Also, had an awesome, made to order, grilled burger and big grilled hot dog from the on-property pop up outside. All soooooooo good 👍🏻 Wine by the bottle, cold drink and beer in cans and bottles for sale as well. Nice little market…more than meets the eye for sure

The closest place to the pillbox trail with iced -cold electrolytes, fresh pressed juices, and water. Everyone is so friendly too!

It's rare to find a great sandwich place, but Kalapawai is it! This place consistently made absolutely excellent sandwiches with fresh and flavorful ingredient. Good service, convenient location, and delicious sides. Don't miss it for lunch or a speedy dinner!

They get 5 stars for being open on New Years Day! Cool place with lots of options for food.

Nothing better than a delicious sandwich after a beautiful walk on Kailua Beach. This local market is both adorable and full of good things. They also have picnic tables outside so you can grab your food and hang out for a bit while you eat. The folks at the deli were super sweet and helpful. I got the BTA (bacon, tomato and avocado) sandwich on a plain bagel - I’ve never met a place that voluntarily skipped the lettuce and it was decidedly a perk. Loved it!

Stopped here after the Lanikai Pillbox hike (pro tip: park at the first beach lot and walk up to the hike entrance). Anyway, we were hungry afterward so we walked from the beach parking lot here via the pathway through the park. Ordered the fresh catch wrap, the chicken/bacon sourdough sandwich, and some drinks. The sourdough bread was phenomenal and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The drink and snack selection was super neat as well - more fun/local selections than mainstream manufacturers. Everything was so reasonably priced given the location and convenience of this place to the beach, and there were 3 small picnic tables on the side of the building in case you are too hungry to make it back to the beach. We will be back to try more sides and maybe breakfast. The purple potato side jawn looked enticing.

My husband and have been here twice and both times it was absolutely delicious! We had the fish tacos, the patty melt, fries, Mac & cheese, sangria and the liliko mimosa. The service was quick and friendly. This will be on our go to list next time we visit.

Tastes good but hardly a meal. Not sure if this is normal but hopefully not.

Their sandwiches are EXACTLY what I dream of eating on the beach, every time. Their food is really, really good. Love the convenience of being able to order ahead of time online and walking over to pick it up. They have a good selection of sides too (chips and baked goods). I honestly haven’t explored the market much but it looks like they have a lot to offer there too. I love grabbing a sandwich here whenever we are over at Kailua Beach!

I’m a fan of shopping local and Oahu is full of local kind shops that are filled with edible treasures you just won’t find anywhere else. like these lilikoi shortbread bars. I buy them on the way to the beach with every intention of sharing, but it’s hard not to eat every crumb. These bars are heavy and made with love. The buttery shortbread is divine and the bright tartness of the lilikoi is everything you could want in a dessert. They are so decadent . Kalapawai Market offers great coffee, darling souvenirs, all the cool drinks, it’s just full of goodness. It’s a must stop for all the stuff you need while your cruising Kaneohe

Kalapawai Market is a wonderful local market on the North Shore Oahu. The market sells about anything you may need or want, a fixture in the local community for years! There is a wide variety of foods, a deli, and other items you may want. If you find my review helpful please give me a thumbs-up 👍 Thank you!

A very cute little market along the beach that will have a wide selection of wine and drinks as well as basics for when you're here. Also a deli for lunches and stuff. Very quaint and oh so perfect for the location!

I loved the Avocado Toast for breakfast! It wasn’t that big but perfect size for me after the sunrise hike :) coffee is great too! Just moved to Kailua and will visit more often!

Their food is always fresh and consistent. However, the service at the deli counter is unfortunately pretty terrible. During my last visit they straight up forgot to make my order. I was told my order would take about 6 minutes, which is very reasonable. I stood there waiting for over twenty minutes and they finally acknowledged me and asked if I ever got my order. They hadn’t even started making it and yet they couldn’t remember if they had ever made it. Once they realized that they forgot about me, it took only 2 minutes to prepare. They weren’t busy or anything, just maybe a bit too stoned to remember to fulfill a pending order. I hope they improve because the food is good… and would be totally worth waiting for if they were actually busy and not just being forgetful. The inconsiderate attitude is what makes it unappealing.

Best Sandwich Ever! Get this meal and take it to the beach for a chilled lunch… you won’t regret it! While you are there grab som ‘north sore goodies’ peanut butter, it is amazing!

I have been purchasing wine and sandwiches from this delightful market for over 30 years but have never tried their beach burgers until this past weekend. Talk about yummy! The meat was soooo juicy and tasty. The basil pesto topping and the bun was out of this world. And the cheddar cheese really made it fantastic. I'm buying these again.

Turkey Reuben and chicken sandwich were both really delicious and fresh. Coffee was fresh tasting and affordable. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cool spot to get lunch near the beach.
