The best beer selection of any brewery on the island, in my opinion. IPAs, lagers, pilsners, and porters all have really good flavor. I guess that's all that matters being a brewery because the food seems to be hit or miss. The burger was great, but not much flavor on yhe calamari. Prices seem a little steep, but it is Kailua. Nice atmosphere being open to the outside and with some separation from the street. Everything is done via QR code (ordering and closing out or leaving open your tab), so be prepared.

Perfect day to enjoy the patio, have a beer, and an appetizer. Taylor was super helpful. We had the nacho & added chicken. Yum. Very flavorful, good amount of melted cheese, guacamole, and the added chicken. Really enjoyed the beers. Had the Freight train IPA. Easy drinking. The hop add to the taste of the food. Pairs well with the Nachos. Highly recommended.

After proving vaccination we went in and picked our table in the outside seating area. There was some street construction nearby which detracted a bit from the atmosphere. A QR code on our table provided the menu on our phones. The ordering interface was a bit clumsy and difficult to use. It wasn't working anyway so the waitstaff had to take our order manually. Our order took almost 45 minutes to get to the table even though the restaurant was basically empty when we came. In any case, the food was good. We had the fish tacos and the fish and chips. Both were well made and tasty which made up for the other issues and salvaged the restaurant a 4 star review.

Typical bar food + brews. Lots of options for beer lovers! Open air feeling through out the restaurant, whether you are seated inside or out. Enjoyed the live music on the weekend. Want to come back for the Happy Hour specials!

Visited during happy hour and the place was packed. First time here and was impressed based on the choices we made. We had some issues with the phone app ordering process since that is the only way you could order and pay your bill. Totally worth the hassle once the food arrived. Other than waving servers to refill empty water glasses service was great from the minimal interactions.

Im from Florida, where Breweries are plentiful and service is a priority. This place makes you order from your phone without interacting with a waitress. Questions about the menu? Nope, screw you and figure it out. Beers were good, nice selection but the food was not as good for the price. $20 14-inch pizzas. I should have known better when I saw the 4.1 percent review ratings.

Maui Brewing is my favorite Hawaiian beer so I was super excited to visit their restaurant. I can not say how disappointed I was in my experience. The ordering process is extremely inconvenient. They don't have servers so the menu is online and you order on your phone. I like to pay cash and this was not an option. I ordered a $20+ cheeseburger and fries and I got a $10 value. I had plans to take a growler or two home with me but that option was not on the phone menu so I said forget it. I do not recommend is very impersonal experience.

The vibe here is amazing and one of my favorites on island. Plenty of outdoor seating and also very spacious on the inside. Food is pretty delicious as well. Come by and have a drink at this spot, you’ll love Kailua and Maui Brewing

Husband and I really enjoyed Maui Brewing Co. for lunch while visiting Oahu. We had rented mopeds in Honolulu for the day, and decided to travel to another area of the island. Kailua is a lovely, more laidback area of Oahu. It was nice to slow down a bit from the fast paced nature of Honolulu/Waikiki. The ordering system is completely electronic. Our waitress was super helpful in explaining how it worked. You use your phone to make all your orders. They even added a menu item of guacamole to the menu when I wanted it with the chips & salsa on the menu. You can keep ordering from your phone too during your dining experience. There are waitstaff to help if you have any menu questions too. We ordered the Hunter Pizza with Portuguese Sausage. It was plenty to feed 2-3 people. Thin crust style pizza with tasty toppings. For the price of $20, there isn't a tone of pizza, so maybe come during happy hour if you want pizza and beer. Pizza is $10 during Happy Hour. The overall vibe of this location is great. Open-air with indoor and outdoor seating available. Excellent customer service, everyone from the host to the wait staff we friendly.

My favorite place for calamari. Big steak strips instead of those little tentacles. Great beer, food, and atmosphere in the trending retail district of Kailua.

Absolute favorite restaurant in Kailua! Staff and management were so kind to us. We have been on the island for 6 weeks, and we go here at least once a week. Worth a stop!

Great location, lots of open air. Finding parking nearby was pretty easy. The beers were flavorful and there was a pretty good variety. We ended up getting the appetizers Nachos (VERY LARGE PORTION) and wings! Happy hour deals are a must if you can get there!

Throughly enjoyed our experience here. Went in after another local restaurant ignored us (20 mins nothing but water)after sitting us. Here our waitress and three others touched our table numerous times making sure we had everything needed for an enjoyable evening. I had the Butternut Squash pizza, it was AMAZING! It came out in a timely manner and was hot. The flavor was terrific. Very enjoyable experience. Definitely will be returning.

Clean and nice vibes. Food is kind of inconsistent as some dishes were good and some not. Waiter is friendly but am very surprised that when I ordered extra lime or lemon expecting enough to squeeze on my food but only got one piece not even a one lime. Baja Style Local Fish Tacos 3/10 Fish was so basic & little flavor and taco was so soft Sriracha Fries 5/10 Needed more flavor Harvester pizza 10/10 Amazing, highly recommended Crispy Calamari 6/10 Flavor is good but calamari is very thin. Back home we have it thick so if you are expecting a thick calamari don’t.

I felt like this brewery is so pale in comparison to the super fantabulous food and drinks scene in Oahu. There was no magic, no sparkle, it was just so dull. The location is nice, the art on the wall by KameaHadar is so gorgeous. But, the food n beers were lackluster. Such great potential in such a vibrant city, I hope they do better.

It took a second to figure out the whole order on your phone thing because there are no menus just the QR Code. But once we got past that, the service and food was on. First, the beer is all Hawaiian IPA's even the soda, but the beer is on draft. When the food arrived I must tell you that is was absolutely WONDERFUL. I had the single best salad I have ever had to date and enjoyed the watermelon radish. So much so, they are sending me the recipe for the vinaigrette recipe. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy with an EXTREMELY friendly wait staff...THANK YOU MARLENA! Nonetheless, it was a great spot and wish I had more time to sample more on the menu. Thank you so much!

Jalapeno bacon is too sweet, and very floppy. Banana apple foster was very bland and probably needed extra syrup, but once the food came out we only saw our waitress once. I don't have an issue with the QR code menu, but prepaying at a place like this removes the incentive for good service. Also, birds were going crazy at tables when people left and were pooping on the tables

Excellent selection of somewhat pricey cocktails. Our table had fish tacos, tuna melt and pulled pork sliders. Tacos were excellent. Real tuna on the melt. The sliders were SO generous that I only had one and saved the other two for our lunch the next day. Our server was a sweetheart. Online ordering from the table was smooth, easy to add to your order and customize your meal. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of outside seating. Live music on a Friday night.

Came for the first time, sat ourselves at a free table. We were told all ordering goes through their online portal. As a Canadian who only happened to be roaming for the day, this was no problem, but generally I don't roam so I wouldn't have been able to confirm payment since I needed to receive a text to confirm that account. Aside from that, it was convenient. Two tastings of four glasses each and BBQ pork sliders with sriracha fries to share. The sliders were amazing, the pork so tender and savoury. The sriracha fries were a really complement, hot and spicy. We enjoyed our food, wish there were more beer choices for the tastings. There were a lot of flying ants around us and kept pestering us while eating. Really put a damper on the meal because we had to keep fanning them away from the food and drinks.

Very cute place. We happened here during happy hour so we ordered a bunch of appetizers which was perfect. Very relaxing atmosphere. Just wish the very busy road wasn’t right there but nothing the restaurant can do about it. The waitress was very sweet and patient with us. Would recommend.

  • 5/5 Alison B. 8 months ago on Google
Everything is order by phone which is fine. I get why they do it but I don’t love it. Service still managed to be really great - friendly staff, lots of water refills. Atmosphere was spot on. We sat outside, chatted with the couple next to us. Lots of variety for the kids. We have four boys so that’s a big deal! Definitely would go back

  • 5/5 Matt B. 5 months ago on Google
The food is awesome, location is right in the heart of Kailua. Drinks are good as well. Wasn’t super stoked with having to scan a QR code to place your order online when we were dining in. The flip side of that is the fact that the food came out super quick. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Does have a nice little view, not very many choices for wine. It was OK. I was going to order something but the menu was not that appealing. The service was OK, but you would think that somebody that works in the area with no a little bit more about the shops or places to send you, especially if she’s working at a bar. I don’t know maybe I’m being harsh maybe she was just new. I showed up about 10 minutes before the happy hour and didn’t know it, it’s really not so much about the money but it’s more about she had to get my credit card right away instead of waiting till the 10 minutes and I probably won’t be coming back here, although I do come back here every year and a half or so. Was not impressed at all.

Fantastic spot. Don't miss having a beer and a relax here. Such a chill vibe. Didn't have any food here.. saving that for next time. Tried a beer flight. None were disappointing. I'll be back here soon. More beers to try and food to sample.

Loved the fish and chips and they have a great selection from the bar. My friend also liked her fish tacos. Not the most scenic place to eat in Oahu, but nice open air seating and they are across the street from a great shave ice place. Kailua is chill compared to Waikiki so it was a nice break from the crowds.

One of our favorite places in the area! The ordering from your phone makes for prompt food and drinks. All of the staff were very attentive to our needs and super friendly. Loved the seltzers and it was awesome we were able to sample prior to ordering. Great merch as well! Had to get seltzers to go!

Amazing in every way! Cienna was the best (and if I were opening a business here I would try to poach her in a second - give her a raise!). Farm to table sourcing, absolutely delicious.

They had a great happy hour deal when I stopped by (for both their drinks and snacks). Extensive selection of local beers, with something for everyone. The Pineapple Mana was my favorite among those that I tried. It’s a wheat with a subtle hint of pineapple (but not too sweet). Great service and a really unique experience if you want to try some local brews.

The food was so good, my husband had the fish and chips and I had the fish tacos. Both were delicious, especially the tartar sauce! Service was excellent. They are doing the best they can with Covid-19 protocols, while also trying to maintain a nice atmosphere and restaurant experience. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful staff! I’m from Maui and have always enjoyed MBC. Would be 5stars if they hadn’t changed their calamari to the frozen generic variety, and is still charging high prices. The house made Calamari was one of the main reasons I love MBC and it was a real letdown to be served the replacement. I get the need to cut labor right now, but people need to be informed and the price needs to be cut. Please bring back the house made recipe!

I went here in December to watch a football game. I liked the big screens for football and the seating was comfortable.I had the beet salad and it was awesome. The poor review comes more from the staff interaction. It wasn't very busy lots of open seating but it took close to 20 minutes after I was seated for someone to come over and just get me water. After food was ordered it took around 30 minutes to come out and then there was an AC unit leaking right next to me. Like right next to me.... I alerted staff and they said they would get someone to fix it right away and never did. While the staff was friendly I felt they didnt care much which was disappointing. They were nice and did bring beer samples so I could choose the perfect beer pairing for my food but overall I probably wouldn't come back.

Nice spot in Kailua. Large open seating area with available seating indoors and outdoors. The outdoor seating is covered from the rain. They did offer to move us on one of the visits when it started to pour but we declined and stayed dry. The staff is great along with the management. The food and drinks don’t let you down either. The beer menu is always changing so there is always something different. I prefer the root beer on tap.

Most people understand what kind of food they will be served in a place like this, but with the very upmarket menu price tag; you expect to be able to communicate with the staff. From front desk to table waiter; they all seem to be on auto pilot. Staff is young and may be unexperienced; but the owners should understand that their customers would like to feel being taken care of. (Start with a smile!) Otherwise, they will not return. We will not.

Maui brewing company is a pretty cool place. The menu is diverse for both beer and food. Price is slightly on the upper side compared to other breweries. Service is amazing. MBC nachos is a very good appetizer to order. They have live music. Also happy hour from 3.30 to 5.30. Definitely recommended.

We had a good experience with the food there, however their kids soda tasted kinda weird. Tried the root beer and the cola and both were a bit too strong for kids. Also, I'm pretty picky so I check to see what's on my burger before I ordered, but it came with a few things that didn't say. Not a big deal though as it comes with the top off where you can pick off anything you wouldn't like.

Not worth it! Service is TERRIBLE. High price, small portions. Food tastes good, but service is so bad, one person is eating and the other waiting for their food. Beer is good, but when you can't even get one at the bar, why go?

Love this place but you definitely get way better service at the bar than you do at the tables. Table service is REALLLY slow and we had to ask multiple times for simple things like water, condiments etc. The brewmaster pizza is great, the sriracha fries are bomb and the beer is of course, awesome. Just sit at the bar or in the bar area unless you have a long time to spend.

Great place to grab a bite the food was delicious and the service fabulous. The only reason I am giving them a four is the chairs are super uncomfortable. It was a little cold out the night we went and so they were cold as well. They are metal and have holes in them. The food was good and service good. Just not a place to go back due to the chairs for me.
