So, you should know that this review may be moderately inflated, as it is coming from a vacationing mainlander. Definitely better quality than your typical Katsu chicken (especially considering that it’s “fast food”). The Korean chicken was vibrantly delicious, enhanced by its unexpected zing. I loved the ambiance & really want to drop 4 stars on the place, but their 58 cent surcharge for a water cup keeps them in the 3 star category for me.

The food was really good I got Spaghetti with Garlic Bread which came with a tiny bowl of Corn. The food tasted really good. My grandma got the pancakes which she didn't really like but other than that it was delicious.

Thoroughly mediocre and overrated, and this is coming from a local. $11 priced platters with $8 worth of food and $6 quality. Not sure why this is the most popular fast food place in Hawaii when even L&L is better. The whole meal me and friends were talking about how we wish we went to Teddy's, California Pizza Kitchen or Wholefoods instead. At least we would have gotten our nearly $40's worth. Bottom line, go elsewhere. Anywhere else. Just look at this sad shoyu chicken. My friend said she'd think it's a soup if anyone else ordered it.

Always come here to purchase cheap food. This order is the the Chicken Trio 6.8 - The chicken is a little bit dry. - the flavor are a Solid 7.2/10 Don’t lik how they charge you for a cup of water.

Haven’t been in years. I decided to go . I ordered the fried Chicken it was good just as I remembered, also ordered vegetarian chili plate and fried chicken and Terri burger. When I went to pay I saw they gave a tip option at the take out window. They surprised me. So I decided to give a $5.00. When I left no thank you just called my number and they walked away. And what was more sad not 1 customer. Staff should learn how to say thank you to your customers. Jus saying.

My favorite when It comes to local or fast food Hawaiian style. Get there garlic chicken small plate or double Mac salad. Also hot malasadas are SO GOOOOOOD. They also have donuts and they are pretty good. They are fast but it does get dull during lunch time. So if you don’t have much time. Call ahead and pick up or order online. Good spot to take family after a beach day

Our server was the most helpful with finding the most cost efficient options for getting at taste of Zippy’s. Zipmin with a side of fried chicken will remain as my go-to favorite meal here.

We were greeted and seated right away. We had the most amazing server (sorry didn't get her name but she was Filipino) who was cheerful, spuky, happy and really made our time there enjoyable. I just recently retired so will have many more free mornings to pop in for breakfast and coffee.

Had a yummy dinner here! It was such a good portion size and I had the best Mac salad here that I’ve ever had

One of the few restaurants in Kailua open on Christmas Day. Stopped in for a quick lunch and the service was incredible. It was our first time eating here and everyone loved their dishes. I had the Korean Chicken with mac salad. The breading was crispy but the meat was tender. Had a bite of my daughter's hamburger steak and I probably could have eaten that too. All in all, a great experience and I'm glad we visited!

Our group was so disappointed with the paper menu at the Kailua Zippy’s! Slim pickings. What happened to the colorful menu with different options? The 2 servers were super courteous and friendly! Its not how I remembered Zippy’s Kailua before. What happened? Short staffed? Kaneohe’s was also short staffed that day with long lines! We opted to go to Kailua instead but staff from Kailua had to go to help at Kaneohe. Auwe!!!

Just because it's Hawaiian doesn't mean the kitchen needs to run on island time. Just waited an hour for a glass of milk and a loco Moco. In what world does a hamburger patty, egg, rice, and gravy take an entire hour to prep? That would be incomprehensibly long if I was cooking it in my own kitchen without a proper staff. Don't come here if you value your time. Read all the other poor reviews and you'll realize most of these positive ones are just review-padders

Another late night, so my safe house, Zippy's! I found a limited period meal, Miso Chicken plate, I got it! It is different and tasty. Since I took out this meal, so asked them to place the sauce aside. I was really satisfied and could sleep well. Mahalo, Zippy's!!

My family loves to eat here. The make a meal option is great bc sometimes I don't want salad and a dessert and sometimes I do. I love the banana cream pie, dobash cake, and pudding parfaits are my faves. The chili is amazing.

The food is good. Local comfort food, but when we asked the waitress to move us to a table not directly under the A/C vent, she refused. The excuse was that the next table was to go to a specific waiter, and the table wasn't in his section. It wasn't too busy. Also, if you want Sprite or Sierra Mist, they'll tell you to get the Starr soda, and it's better. It's not. Don't fall for it.

Ordered Korean chicken and corned beef hash for breakfast and it tasted so bad! The chicken meat wasn't cook enough and the corn beef hash was so dry and it didn't have enough taste. Never gonna order from this zippys again. 🙄

Zippy's is, and has been for decades, an institution in Hawaii. Food is not fancy, but always good. Staff friendly. Malasadas made to order. What's not to like.

This location is very popular with its drive up window. Usually from Friday and into the weekend during dinner hours will be crowded. So many cars wrap around the building at times to pick up food that you will be blocked in if you parked in the lot. Best to give yourself extra wait time if you show up from 7:30pm. We like the food so it's worth the wait.

Service was good and food was okay. Would NOT recommend the chicken and chili plate. Wife got loco moco that was good. Didn’t feel good after fried chicken.

Comfort food for the island. My system doesn't do well with GMOs and mass produced foods. The typical dinner goer will probably like this place. Most people tell me they love the food here. It just didn't sit well in my stomach.

Visited zippy on a trip home to see family. Grew up eating here and was happy to see all the modern renovations. Good covid practice, safe, food was good. Missed this place
