Quite innovative way of showing life of jai Prakash Narayan. The museum is designed with lot of thought. It's small but you won't get bored going through it.

Jayprakash Narayan was born on 11 October 1902in the village of Sitabdiara. (It was in Saran district of Bihar when JP was born. At present it is in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh, India).Sitabdiara is a large village, straddling two states and three districts—Chhapra and Arrah in Bihar and Ballia in Uttar Pradesh. His house was near the banks of the flood-prone Ghaghara river in Lala Tola, Bihar. Every time the river swelled, the house would get a little bit damaged, eventually forcing the family to move a few kilometres away to a settlement which is now known as Jay Prakash Nagar and falls in Uttar Pradesh. He came from a Kayastha family. He was the fourth child of Harsu Dayal and Phul Rani Devi. His father Harsu Dayal was a junior official in the Canal Department of the State government and was often touring the region. When Narayan was 9 years old, he left his village to enroll in 7th class of the collegiate school at Patna. This was his first break from village life. JP stayed at a student hostel—Saraswati Bhawan—in which most of the boys were a bit older. Among them were some of Bihar's future leaders including its first chief minister, Krishna Singh, his deputy Anugrah Narayan Sinha and several others who were to widely become known in politics and academic world. In October 1920, 18 year old Narayan got married to Braj Kishore Prasad's 14 year old daughter Prabhavati Devi, a freedom fighter in her own right., their ages being normal marriageable ages at those times. After their wedding, since Narayan was working in Patna and it was difficult for his wife to stay with him, on the invitation of Gandhi, Prabhavati became an inmate at Sabarmati Ashram (Ahmedabad).Jayaprakash, along with some friends, went to listen to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad speak about the Non-co-operation movement launched by Gandhi against the passing of the Rowlatt Act of 1919. The Maulana was a brilliant orator and his call to give up English education was "like leaves before a storm: Jayaprakash was swept away and momentarily lifted up to the skies. That brief experience of soaring up with the winds of a great idea left imprints on his inner being". Jayaprakash took the Maulana's words to heart and left Patna College with just 20 days remaining for his examinations. Jayaprakash joined the Bihar Vidyapeeth, a college founded by Dr. Rajendra Prasad and became among the first students of Gandhian Dr. Anugraha Narayan Sinha.

Fantastic tribute to one of India's finest political figures and a true tall leader. It's grand, it has his entire life journey and it is curated up to international level. There's no entry fee. Still, to my utter disbelief, hardly anyone turns up here. We were the 3th & 4th visitors of the day and that's the usual average count of visitors. It's kept clean. The staff is good. For people interested in Indian History and politics pre and post 30 years of independent India, this is God sent. Kudos to the Akhilesh government who took so much efforts to put this entire thing together. Must visit for once. Take your kids here as well. It's about one of India's finest leaders and you should know about him and appreciate his efforts. Fascinating man, fascinating life journey and a brilliant tribute to him.

The museum within is an experience in space design with the depiction of Jayaprakash Narayan as a chronological narrative of a linear journey. It is divided into two zones; the zone of absorption and the zone of reflection. As the names suggest, these spaces enable absorption of information triggering curiosity and contemplation which then is expected to lead to reflection and assimilation.

JPN Museum is a gateway framing the centre placed as a wedged-shaped monument with a massive arch carved out of the mass; its nine-metre height and twenty-metre ambitious span are clearly attempts to push the limits of structural design and construction. Its stepped roof terminates in a pavilion that gifts a panoramic view of the R.M. Lohia Park and the Convention Centre.

    (Translated by Google) It is a grand building but looks depressing. There are many better monuments around it, due to which it does not check. If it was in privacy, it would have been better. There were allegations of scam in the construction of this building costing 800 crores. It is a better place. The architecture is unique. Sometimes it can come. The Taj Hotel located near it dulls its aura. This is the result of the competition of leaders who are competing to build different types of monuments in this area of Gomati Nagar. It has made the architecture of Lucknow a better one.

This place is one of the most beautifully made museums in the city. This place has so many interactive installations that can educate the masses. This place could also give a push to the tourism in the city if maintained. Sadly, the current government (BJP led by Yogi Adityanath) does not want to promulgate and stand by the socialist ideals of the Samajwadi party and thus is not keen on funding it.

It is really a good piece of architecture...every person who is interested in history or good architecture should visit this place .such an amazing experience..😊. But it was not properly maintained headphones were not working so main purpose of museum to inform about life history of sir Jayprakash ji cannot be given....its a request everyone should visit this place to make it more popular so the government would be forced to maintain it properly...only few workers were there not even a single visitor was there...
