    I went through the drive through. Order a deluxe 3 piece pack with hot and spicy. Paid and drove up to the next window. I checked that I was getting hot and spicy. The girl said no because I had only been charged for normal. I paid the extra $1.20 for the hot and spicy. Got my food, got home to eat and it was still normal chicken. They took my money and did not replace the chicken. I am really pissed with this lack of service. It could be classed as theft.

    If there was an option for 0 out of 5 I would have chosen that the staff made me wait 20 minutes to be told just wait they were very rude and disrespectful and disorganized the food was dry and coke was flat not cold would never recommend coming here better to go pak n save get ur fried chicken from there. Useless staff need proper customer service skills. They gave me a burnt chicken also forgot my burgers drove halfway home checked for my burger and nothing went to ring them all day no answer . Guess they lack the customer service skills and have not been trained to answer a phone must be to hard. Never go here bad customer service skills need to be replaced!!! Useless I want my money back even then it's hard to communicate with this company. Please tell me how I can get my money back and have that staff trained or replaced

    Ordered two flat whites, simple request. One was froth and the other not much better. Tasted disgusting. Was told they were full? Ordered to 'park it' and they'll bring them out. Second attempt was the same. Third attempt??? Fourth attempt had to do, slightly better than the first. Had a few eye rolls from staff and management, service was non existent. Being in the hospitality industry and a barista I appreciate great service....yours is not worth mentioning. You need to learn how to make a coffee. We will not be back. Bad experience! Not how it used to be.

    I AM JUST SHOCKED THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE MY EXPERIENCE.. FIRSTLY I FOUND A BUG OF SOME SORT IN MY CHIPS!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT BUT THAT'S NOT ALL Next there's the chicken I FOUND FLY EGGS IN MY DAUGHTERS DRUM STICK I WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!! THEY DESERVE TO BE SHUT DOWN I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THEY WOULD JUST SEND FOOD LIKE THAT OUT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS IT MAKES ME SICK! IF YOUR THINKING OF EATING HERE. DON'T ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. OF COURSE I GOT MY MONEY BACK. BUT I WILL NEVER WANT TO EAT HERE AGAIN. I'M SO P!SSED OFF!!

    The manager(a lady) has obvious racial discrimination. I can't believe that KFC, one of the international catering giants has such a poor service attitude. I went to kfc to buy food on New Year’s Day. I queued for a long time but no staff came to take the order. They seemed to be doing it on purpose. After I asked them, their manager told me that if I want to eat, I can go to the machine to order or going to somewhere else, I was shocked by she's attitude at the time, after I turned and left, she immediately ordered for the local behind me, so I started to queue again, but when I ordered when I was there, their employees deliberately left again, and seemed unwilling to order for me. I think the employees received some kind of instructions from the manager, and they could ignore my order request. The manager said to me bluntly "i don't like you as a person" before I left. I have reason to think that this manager is showing serious racial discrimination. And I have great doubts about kfc's company personnel and management mechanism, because I think she became a manager without professional training. It would be a disaster for the whole team if she became a manager. It's a disgrace to the entire KFC company, because she has damaged the reputation of the entire company, that is ridiculous. I hope the company can seriously investigate this matter, because I don't want more people to become victims.

    Went in to order takeaway to make sue they get it right as normally don't. Ordered from the stand up order station, often it wouldn't register our finger pressing, finally got an order number, waited. The screen wasn't working to show who's order was up next, the guy at the counter was whispering, so everyone waiting where confused. We asked about the screen not working, the staff seemed confused about the screen even being there. The guy at the counter needed a good voice to shout people's order number out, the indoor area seemed so loud and it was only half full. Got the meal home, food seemed OK but they gave us a full container of gravy instead of potato and gravy. Very expensive exercise. Hardly get takeaways like this. Won't be going back tbh.

    Atrocious customer service from the duty manager with the attitude of a borstal matron. Ordered the boneless hot & crispy duo online. Order was ready five minutes late, but hot and freshly made with excellent chips. However the hot and spicy boneless pieces were disappointingly small, not much bigger than chicken nuggets, and the two largest pieces in the pack (still smaller than a wicked wing) were undercooked, with slimy unrendered gristle. We took these to the counter, explained the problem, and indicated we did not expect a full refund or replacement meal but would be happy with a couple of wicked wings. The staff member went to the manager who required me to explain the issue again. She gave approval to the other staff member who had assisted me to box two wicked wings for us, but then denied the chicken was undercooked and pulled the pieces I took back apart with a pair of tongs demanding that I explain what was wrong again, which led to a ridiculous back and forth of me describing exactly the same issue again and again whilst she came up with various different ways of deflecting and denying there was a problem. The stringy raw looking muscle of the chicken was apparent all the way through this Monty Python-esque exchange, a la "this parrot is not dead" I still cannot believe the lengths this manager went to in order to undermine the reputation of KFC with this unhinged response to a genuine concern raised by a customer. All while the remedy that would have avoided this negative publicity (and the letter sent to Restaurant Brands) sat on the counter, only for this manager to refuse to hand it over after pulling the piece apart and seeing the issue with her own eyes. I will not return to KFC Whangarei until my lawyer receivez a satisfactory response from Restaurant Brands.

    Wouldve given zero stars if there was an option. Placed an online order went to pick up which was 6.05pm, waited for a bit, went up to the counter 20 mins after pick up time and our order hadn't been started yet, three girls discussed doing it and one eventually said they would do it waited another 20 mins for it to be done, still not done so went back up to counter and reminded the young girl of our order, she went back over to where they pack them up, they had lost our order asked to see it on my phone, i asked to speak to the manager, she refused to come and speak to me, we waited again and 50 minutes (6.55pm) after original pick up time they handed over the order. The potato and gravy was nearly all gravy. Bad service and management guys. Won't be going back to that store.

    A better than average KFC with good quality of food and service. Parking is available on site as are toilets. One touch that I particularly liked was that there is a wash basin outside of the toilets so ypu don't even have to go in to wash your hands.

    Not impressed KFC Raumanga… don’t usually get kfc as it can be expensive feeding a family. soggy cold chips and the chicken was drowning in oil and we only live 3 mins away! missing 3 items out of our order but didn’t realize until we got home. had a quick look in the bag while in the drive through but the line was long so we left. Good luck trying to ring them!!! No one will answer the phone

    Full on busy Thursday afternoon in the drive thru...no worries tho the team have it organized and if they don't have an item they are professional in how they advise item out od stock and offer the option...very good experience for the front of house team....

    Worst kfc branch in nz. Last 3 visits, straws missing and order wrong. Just got a delivery, 25mins later than estimated and cold food. Its like the staff there have just given up. Maybe they have poor working conditions. Someone from head office needs to look at the whangarei branch as a matter of urgency. My friends also have the same complaints. Won't be ordering from this branch again. You always come away disappointed.

    Very underwhelming every time I decide I feel like kfc. Staff seem quite over it like they don’t want to be there. It’s always quite dirty and doesn’t seem like they care to wipe tables or clean the floor at all. The drinks are always spilling all over the place or half empty and always flat and warm. The chicken is really dry most of the time. Hardly get thigh pieces even in the massive family buckets.

    Every single time without fail something missing in our order or it is over an hour late. However cherry on top tonight catering waiting 3 hours for our food my partner went to collect it. The driver turns up! I tried to call my partner to see what was happening and whilst I do that the guy goes over to his car and drives off!!! With our food!!!! I was very polite and told him I was in happy with the service and gave him no reason to drive off. We will never order online again! Also if you have a landline number for your business PICK UP THE PHONE!!!!

    Ordered online on behalf of school group to ensure we could arrive, collect and head off to a park. Online receipt said order would be ready at 1:37pm. Arrived at 1:40pm had to enquire about our order. Then had to wait 20 minutes with 14 young children sitting in vehicles on a hot day. Asked for receipt and waited an extra further 3 minutes before someone explained they had put receipt in the bag 🤦‍♀️. When I asked about why the order wasn't ready on time, no one could give a clear answer, or an apology. Seems like ordering online is a waste of time. Go to the WHG KFC on SH1 from now on. Also, no potato, just gravy!?!?

    Ordered on the automatic portal in shop. Had trouble trying to view everything they sold. As there wasn't all the options that was over the counter. ? Busy time but the burger came quickly. Burger look like it was slap together, not like the picture you see when ordering but I guess everyone knows this by now. Lettuce falling out of the box only one small lettuce leaf. Over ten tables available but they were all disgusting and not clean, the floor was worse. I am amazed this is no a osh problem. Summary I have seen better environments, the burger tested ok but could have been a lot better. Not great value for the money.

    No seasoning on under cooked chips. Original colonel burger was dry and gone hard. Better luck next time I hope 2nd time missing chicken! Somebody please wipe the chip seasoning bottle. I think must be blocked up

    Every time I order food from this place to deliver it always comes so haphazardly... I don't have their chicken pieces cos they're dripping soggy with oil, I order their wraps usually or their sandwiches but they're not made well... we ordered the wicked wings lunch it had minimal chips and tiny wings... the twister wraps are not wrapped properly at all and the paper is thrown on so half the contents are spilling out of the wrap itself...we order a quarter pack box that was OK, looked well presented...taste is OK but you can tell they aren't passionate bout what they're doing cos of course not... maybe they should pay their workers more to do a better job...

    Worse experience ever!!! Cold half cooked jelly chicken, replacement chicken was cooked but wrong amount and type was returned twice. No apology or dialog, just a look that I was annoying. Restaurant was dirty with raspberry drink leaking from the rubbish bin that the workers saw but didn't clean, so I put a wet floor sign on top of it to warn the public. Tables needed wiping down as well. The hand washing area and toilets were DISGUSTING!!! WARNING TO THE PUBLIC - EAT WITH CAUTION!!!!!! Come on KFC Whangarei, do better!!

    Travelled with 34 people after a day out at the movies etc. We bought 3 of their largest buckets being 70 pieces of chicken 14 puts of chips Very efficient and the whole order was served in 12min... YES WE WERE CURIOUS IN HOW LONG IT QOULD TAKE. But very satisfied.. On the down side we did have to ask for a spray bottle and cloth to wipe down the tables...

    Disappointing that they don't offer some of the same menu items as KFCs in other countries. No biscuits, no corn, etc. The mash and gravy is soaked with gravy - much too much. One piece of the 3-piece meal was a wing. Seriously! No meat on it. Gone in one bite. The original recipe has no crispiness to it at all. It is seriously greasy. The staff seem pretty miserable and obviously don't want to be there. This place has serious issues. This is the worst KFC I have visited anywhere in the world.

    Couldn't enjoy a meal, it was so unclean. Lots of staff around but nobody clearing tables or emptying rubbish bins, sweeping the floors. It was worse inside than out. KFC doesn't taste the same. Won't be back.

    We're disappointed with the number of chips and popcorn chicken in our kid's snack box 📦 It's hardly anything inside when we opened it? It's like someone else's left over? We also ordered extra seasoning on all our chips, but no seasoning/no salt.

    I am not a person who would do this but this manager who was at shift 5:30pm 3 April 2023 just took it too far. We placed an order which had 3 veggie burgers in it. All the burgers had hashbrown in it when they are suppose to have a different veggie patty in it. On being confronted, he said we just use what we have. Are you kidding me? Why would you want us to spend $8 on burger worth $4 in your menu? Second, they denied to serve us supercharger sauce and said they don't have it. This was right after they have put in heaps in order already. I clearly mentioned, I am fine paying for it but nah, he got some attitude in him and was clearly racist. I had my family seeing me from overseas and none of them wanted to go again and ask for some tomato sauce because they were just so scared of manager. I have recorded my conversation with the staff and would take this above if the concerned authority does not get back to me in 48hrs or before. 8 yrs in New Zealand and this is the first time i have been a victim.

    Yip it was all good, my chicken was a bit on the small size but quite tender and better than some I've had before. Oh but i didnt like the way my moro was melted to the wrapper but I guess its pretty hot in there. Staff are good however some tables needed to be wiped down.

    For a treat for a family member i went through the drive through ordered 6peice pk , asked for coleslaw sorry no coleslaw, dissapointment no 1, no2 chips covered in so much salt couldnt eat them no3 potato and gravy , the gravy was disgusting must have changed recipe, will not be going back.

    very disappointing, we did online order with delivery. But did not get a burger, the gravy and potato, was just all gravy and undercooked chicken. Tried calling them multiple times but no reply. I am angry and hungry starving for my meal. I just got back from my morning shift and was so exited to have KFC after such long time . I'm utterly disgusted with the service. It was a total waste of money, do not recommend.

    Last visit I tried using Stand up console but it would not recognize my finger on screen and tried for about 5 minutes with no joy so ordered from the counter. Was fast service and they were busy. The potato and gravy was runny and didn't have that peppery taste. Also the chicken didn't seem to have that secret recipe taste to it. Was a bit disappointed especially when I ordered a extra large bucket with 15 pieces and 5 sides and made for a disappointing birthday dinner for my partner.

    Amazing staff. I ordered a value pack for my parents and me and when other customers pushed in front of me (was very busy) a lady staff member acknowledged this and made sure I was served right away, food was awesome, crispy and not too much oil. I have now gained a huge respect for this venue, employees will never keep you waiting!

    Probably one of the worst experiences from KFC ever. Chicken under cooked, no seasoning on the chips.. Not a drop of salt or nothing.. Asked for extra seasoning too, so got charged extra for nothing.

    Whangarei KFC was the closest to where I was so it was definitely a treat. Unfortunately they no longer do items with pineapple 😯 According to the manager those items aren't popular ... come on people, show pineapples 🍍 some love.

    Was busy today and the staff were working hard. I got home and realised I was missing some chips. I left a message through there contact me area on the app and I was called back that same night and they fixed me up with a store credit. Was really nice as I was expecting to have to wait to hear back. Food was lovely and fresh though!

    Called in tonight to get dinner. No original chicken but not a problem as my husband only likes the spicy. Get home and as per usual no coleslaw and no popcorn chicken. Tried ringing but no one answering, but maybe busy. Wondered if they had lots of chips pre cooked as they were stone cold. Willcall later and see if they answer, but if not will have to try again tomorrow. Don't know why we keep going back as there is always something missing from the order.

    Love the food. Some days the season mix on the chicken is spot on especially for the spicy chickens. Some days it is just deep fried flour with no taste. Similarly, service some days are 👌 other days👎. Glad to see a second store built, hopefully service and food better consistently.
