You can watch water being pulled up the well by a camel. The camel walks around in a small, circular room. It's something interesting to have a peak at. There's a small cafe right there too.

This is an absolute must see! And on my travels through North Africa and elsewhere, I have never seen this. A camel walks around on the second floor of a building pulling the gears that draw water up.

I liked the architecture of this place but it's harmful to see that camel locked there.

Very authentic.. you will feel outside of the era out of time. Like u steppes thousand year back in time. People are super friendly and the water tastes different. You can watch for free or offer some tips to maintain this original monument. I felt little sorry for the kamel too.

Old place at the old Town medina Kairouan. Respect for water, which cost so much to collect and extract, can be gained.
